Chapter 108.2
by Afuhfuihgs(Continued)
As Baek-seo pondered over the message, another one arrived.
[Dal: I’ve got something prepared that might help.]
Baek-seo narrowed her eyes.
[Dal: Can you come over for a bit?]
Even if she had lost many memories, she had surely held onto her resentment toward the Head Principal.
Moreover, the current Dalbi had no reason to side with the Head Principal.
In other words, if it were Dalbi, she might have prepared a card to play against the Head Principal.
And there was no benefit in setting up a trap for Baek-seo.
Thus, Baek-seo decided it was best to go meet her.
“Guys.”
Baek-seo got up from her seat.
“What is it, Baek-seo?”
“I’m going out for a bit.”
“Bathroom? Alright, come back soon.”
Baek-seo left the executive office.
Yesong and Minhyuk didn’t suspect anything, but Do-ha looked at the door Baek-seo had exited through with a meaningful gaze.
—
“You’re here?”
Baek-seo arrived at the place Dalbi had called her to—a rundown office in an abandoned building.
“You managed to avoid the surveillance and make it here?”
“That much is easy.”
As someone who had once excelled as an assassin among the Spartoi, evading surveillance wasn’t a difficult task for her.
“And for some reason, the surveillance around here has been weaker.”
Because Woo-jin had transmitted his magic information to the Spartoi, a large number of forces were on the move.
As a result, the number of Martial Law Guards and robots patrolling the Ahsung High School autonomous district had significantly decreased.
“So, what are you doing?”
Dalbi was sitting in front of an old but large monitor, with the computer running.
Baek-seo walked over and looked at the computer screen.
Many windows were open. Judging by the processing speed, the computer only looked outdated on the outside—it had excellent performance.
“I’m about to pull out a bomb.”
“A bomb?”
“I’ve been preparing something. I think… I need to help Woo-jin.”
Dalbi had been preparing to bring down the Head Principal.
The memories Dalbi had lost were only precious ones.
She hadn’t forgotten anything about her preparations to take down the Head Principal.
“The Deep Web. There’s a corner even beyond the Head Principal’s reach. I’ve been gathering a lot of data from there.”
“Are you sure it’s okay to talk about this?”
“This place is soundproofed. No need to worry about anyone overhearing. I’ve hidden it well.”
“Really…? But isn’t the Deep Web… like the dark side of the internet? It’s full of illegal stuff and hard to control.”
“There are a lot of unsavory places, sure, but there are parts you can use too.”
Information protected by the Deep Web’s security functions filled Baek-seo’s vision.
“This…?”
“The illegal acts the Head Principal has committed, and the evidence… My weapon that I’ve been collecting. I couldn’t uncover everything, but I’ve gathered all I could as one of the Six Sinners. I’m going to release it.”
“Hold on.”
Baek-seo gently pushed Dalbi’s hand aside and scrolled through the data quickly. She found evidence linked to the false charges against Woo-jin, as well as evidence tied to other crimes.
The Head Principal had tried to shift some of his own crimes onto Woo-jin.
“With martial law in place, everyone is glued to the internet and TV. This is our chance.”
Dalbi explained.
“You’ve done all this… It’s impressive.”
If Baek-seo had planned to assassinate the Head Principal by finding his weaknesses, Dalbi had been gathering evidence to corner him.
Baek-seo couldn’t even begin to imagine the hardships Dalbi had endured.
“R-Really?”
Dalbi smiled shyly, scratching her nose.
However, Baek-seo couldn’t just smile in return.
“These are really good, but… releasing this information to the media bit by bit might be dangerous. There’s a high chance it will reach the Head Principal before it spreads publicly. She’ll surely take action.”
“I’ve already prepared for that.”
“How?”
“We’ll drop it all at once. But I can’t do it alone… I’ve got something ready, but
there’s a more certain and powerful method.”
Dalbi looked at Baek-seo with a determined expression.
“If we’re really going to fight together, help me. I need your help.”
Baek-seo smiled warmly and replied without hesitation.
“Tell me what you need.”
