Chapter 104 – Rule 31. The Leader Restores Order in Academy City (6)

    Crash!

    Boom!

    An explosive strike.

The thunderous blast spread like chains in all directions, unleashing Woo-jin’s immense mana along with a powerful gust of wind. The walls crumbled instantly.

Blood splattered, and a deep crater formed in the wall where the Spartoi had been leaning. His nose was shattered, his face grotesquely disfigured, and blood streamed down his mangled features.

His hand groped the air in front of his now unrecognizable face.

    “Gah, ugh…!”

    The Spartoi groaned in pain.

Woo-jin’s cold eyes bore down on him.

    The relentless onslaught continued.

The Spartoi, in a desperate bid, used his footwork to kick off the ground multiple times at lightning speed, fleeing from the spot as if teleporting.

    He ran away, terrified.

    ‘This is impossible, impossible, impossible!! I can’t win, I can’t win…!’

The Spartoi had completely lost the will to fight.

From the moment he met Woo-jin’s eyes—or rather, when he first felt Woo-jin’s mana on his skin—he knew just how monstrous the Disciplinary Committee Leader truly was.

He had let his guard down, thinking Woo-jin was merely someone who had just reached the 7th Tier.

He himself was at the 6th Tier.

A formidable figure in Neo Seoul, even among the battle-hardened Spartoi.

But no matter how he utilized his innate abilities or poured all his mana into the fight, he was certain that he couldn’t even come close to the toes of that monster.

    Crack!

    “Gahh!”

Even though he was fleeing at an untraceable speed, a sudden crack appeared in the air, and in an instant, a heavy blow struck his torso.

Electricity surged through his entire body, accompanied by a shockwave.

    *Boom!*

With the sound of a cannon firing, the Spartoi was flung backward, bouncing off the corridor walls like a skipping stone.

    “A-Argh…!”

No matter how fast he was, it was meaningless before Woo-jin, who could traverse space at will.

    *Click, click.*

Woo-jin approached, the distance between them closing rapidly.

    The 7th Tier.

    A walking catastrophe.

That title existed for a reason.

Deep down, the Spartoi couldn’t believe that Woo-jin had reached the 7th Tier from the 4th Tier in such a short time.

Even if he had, he thought there might be a chance to fight against someone who had just attained the 7th Tier.

    But no.

There was a stark difference in basic physical enhancement abilities alone.

    Moreover—

‘He went from the 4th to the 7th Tier in just a few months… I should have considered how insanely dangerous he really is!’

Even the legendary Goliath hadn’t grown stronger that quickly.

What on earth was this man’s true nature?

    ‘I have to report this…!’

The Spartoi mustered his remaining strength to pull out his communicator from his chest.

‘The Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee Leader… Even bringing in “White” wouldn’t guarantee a victory against him…!’

Before long, Woo-jin reached the Spartoi.

    Crack!

With unhesitating strikes, Woo-jin crushed the Spartoi’s limbs and destroyed his sensory organs. The damage was beyond what any healer could ever hope to recover.

    “Ugh, argh….”

The Spartoi lost consciousness in excruciating pain.

Leaving him to suffer for the rest of his days, Woo-jin calmly exited the detention center.

─ Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee Leader Escapes from Special Detention…! Seven Police Academy students, including the prison warden, dead; one civilian student critically injured…!

─ A Walking Natural Disaster, ‘7th Tier,’ Escapes…! Head Principal Lee Doo-hee Declares a State of Emergency.

─ State of Emergency Declared, Restrictions on Outdoor Activities… Citizens in ‘Chaos’.

─ Head Principal Lee Doo-hee: “The Emergency Will Be Lifted Only After the Execution of the Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee Leader….”

─ Central Tower Activates Magic Flow Disruptor with the State of Emergency Declaration. Mana Passage Blocked….

A loud alarm blared across Neo Seoul.

Citizens’ smartphones buzzed with emergency messages announcing the state of emergency.

“Ahn Woo-jin escaped, and what? A state of emergency…!? The emergency will end only if Ahn Woo-jin is killed? What is this…!”

Ahsung High Student Council President Han Baek-hyeon felt light-headed.

“The Head Principal declared the state of emergency unilaterally! The situation has escalated too much…! Until further notice, all activities are suspended…. From now on, only the Head Principal, Hanyang Federal Forces, and Spartoi are recognized as legitimate armed groups in Neo Seoul. They will target the Disciplinary Committee Leader… We can’t operate the committee like this unless we’re ready to confront Hanyang and Spartoi’s full power….”

The secretary, drenched in cold sweat, stared at his tablet PC.

The news had broken that a notorious criminal had escaped detention after killing Police Academy students and a civilian student.

And he was the 7th Tier.

That one person was akin to a natural disaster.

It made sense for the Head Principal to declare a state of emergency.

As a result, the public, now gripped with anxiety, was bound to turn their backs on the Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee Leader.

Moreover, operating the committee recklessly would be considered a violation of the emergency order, forcing them into an unwinnable battle.

    Baek-hyeon clenched his eyes shut.

They were caught in a dilemma with no way forward or back.

He habitually reached for his tie, but the tie he had already discarded was nowhere to be found. Sighing, Baek-hyeon muttered to himself.

“Ahn Woo-jin, what on earth are you thinking…?”

He couldn’t believe Woo-jin had killed innocent Police Academy students.

It was most likely a scheme by Woo-jin’s powerful enemies.

Still, the fact remained that Woo-jin had broken out of detention. This only made the situation worse.

Baek-hyeon couldn’t shake his sense of unease.
