    Chapter 103.1

Chapter 103 – Rule 31. The Leader Restores Order in Academy City (5)

    Police Academy, Special Detention Facility.

Given Ahn Woo-jin’s danger level, he was being held under maximum security.

His treatment was already completed. Despite being in a state of mana depletion, Woo-jin’s monstrous recovery speed made any prolonged treatment unnecessary.

He was now believed to have reached the 7th Tier, making him a ticking time bomb that could go off at any moment. The Police Academy hoped that, just as he had cooperated with the investigation, he would quietly submit to the social system and make it to trial without causing trouble.

In the control room, the special detention facility was monitored via CCTV. Woo-jin’s cell was particularly watched.

To the Police Academy students, Woo-jin appeared to be quietly passing the time.

However, the flaw was that the CCTV couldn’t pick up sound.

    “Yeah.”

Inside the highest-level special cell, Woo-jin, dressed in a full-body restraint suit, spoke with his head bowed to avoid showing his lips on camera.

He had created a small crack in his ear to communicate with Geumyang.

Normally, when one’s mana is depleted, it takes considerable time to recover.

But Woo-jin’s mana had already recovered to the point where Geumyang could repeatedly perform spatial leaps without issue. Reaching the 7th Tier had significantly accelerated his mana recovery speed.

“They’re framing me, is that it?”

    — That’s right. Things are turning unfairly against you. Are you planning to endure in a place like this until your mana fully recovers?

“The enemy came at me this hard.”

Woo-jin recalled the Glutton’s final magic technique.

“From now on, they’ll target me at a whole new level. I defeated the Glutton and became much stronger than they expected. So at the very least, I need to make sure my people aren’t targeted.”

Woo-jin had willingly surrendered to the Police Academy, hoping that the Head Principal would refrain from harming the Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee.

    — So it’s camaraderie, huh? You once said you became the Disciplinary Committee Leader because you needed their power, and now you’re protecting the committee. Quite ironic.

    Protecting the Disciplinary Committee.

Because it was home to his lover, friends, and subordinates.

“Didn’t I tell you before? I didn’t know the Head Principal would be this troublesome, and I never expected to gain this much power.”

    — I know, I know, you little brat. But your thoughts don’t seem to matter. Looks like the committee members are planning to fight for you.

    “What?”

Woo-jin narrowed his eyes and glanced to the left, where the crack in his ear was.

    — From what I gathered at Ahsung High, those guys are planning to come here. They’re gearing up for something serious. Naturally, their goal is to get you.

“What kind of nonsense is this? Are they planning to start a war with the academy?”

    — Ahsung High requested the Police Academy to conduct your investigation without detention, but they were refused. So now Ahsung High isn’t hesitating to use force, and the Police Academy is on high alert. Public opinion is also in chaos. Things are about to get messy.

    “……”

    Woo-jin pondered.

This was an unexpected turn of events.

    — What will you do? Things are about to escalate. Are you planning to break out?

    “I guess I’ll have to. …But first.”

    Woo-jin lifted his head.

His teal eyes shone with a chilling light.

    “Looks like someone’s here.”

Upon reaching the 7th Tier, his ability to sense mana had become incredibly refined.

Right now, he could feel the presence of a powerful individual he hadn’t encountered before.

“I’ll have to move up my plans.”

Woo-jin could roughly predict what was about to happen.

    He decided to prepare.

Meanwhile, at the Police Academy’s prison campus.

The Police Academy kept its detention facilities far from the main campus for management and efficiency.

This was the prison campus, dedicated to pursuing the ideal golden ratio of punishment and rehabilitation, focusing on the education of criminals. The detention center was housed here.

    “It’s Spartoi…”

A drawling voice, eyes half-open as if everything were a bother.

A man with deep shadows under his eyes and a turtle-like neck entered the detention center in a car. The driver was another Spartoi.

They were all dressed in white uniforms. Spartoi always wore such attire when engaged in public operations.

Few people knew this. The information was controlled.

To the public, it looked just like the uniform of any other academy in Academy City.

A senior student who had been waiting in advance greeted the Spartoi. He was the prison warden.

“You’re here. I’ve received your message. Please, come in.”

The warden had received the message directly from the Head Principal.

Currently, all sorts of allegations against Woo-jin were coming to light, and it seemed the Head Principal was concerned, or so the warden believed.

‘A chance to impress the Head Principal…!’

The path to a promotion was clear.

“It’s just a quiet favor to let you see him in secret, right? What’s with all this effort from a prison warden just for someone like me…? It’s a bit much.”

    “Haha…”

The Spartoi parked the car in the parking lot. Only the man with dark circles got out, wearing a long coat that complemented his uniform.

He and the warden made their way toward the special cell.

“So, the Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee Leader is here…? This place isn’t bad.”

“Yes. It’s equipped with cutting-edge restraint functions. Since the Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee Leader is exceptionally strong, we had no choice but to confine him at the highest level. He’s been understanding about it.”

“Indeed. I’d have a hard time doing anything if I were locked up like this…”

“This is the best confinement facility, where no criminal has ever escaped! Zero escape rate! One of our Police Academy’s prides.”

The warden puffed up with pride.

However, the man with dark circles simply shrugged.

He was a Spartoi elite, tasked with one job: ensuring that the powerful Ahn Woo-jin remained exactly where he was supposed to be.

The warden rubbed his hands together, like a salesman highlighting the merits of a product, boasting about the prison’s features. However, the Spartoi showed little reaction.

They arrived at a long corridor.

“If you go straight down this way, you’ll find the Ahsung High Disciplinary Committee Leader. Please understand that due to his special restraints, we couldn’t bring him to a visitation room.”

“By the way, how many personnel from your academy are here right now?”

“Pardon? There are about six staff members currently on duty here…”

    *Thud!*

    “Huh?”

The warden felt a searing pain in his abdomen. When he looked down, he saw an unbelievable sight.

A sword held by the Spartoi had pierced through his stomach.

    “W-why…?”

“Today, the flawless escape rate you bragged so much about will be tarnished…”

The Spartoi whispered into the warden’s ear, who was reeling in shock.

“The one who killed you is the escapee, Ahn Woo-jin. Got it…? Remember it well…”

    Thud!
