Chapter 1: Reincarnated as the Academy’s Cursed Healer

The novel I was reincarnated into was 『A Harem Blooming in the Chaos of the Academy』.

It’s a novel where the protagonist, named Arthur Pendragon—as if the author was really too lazy to come up with a name—pulls out the Holy Sword and enters the academy.

The Royal Academy that the protagonist enters is an educational institution that trains heroes to kill the Demon King.

The Demon King, upon learning this, begins a full-scale invasion of the academy where Arthur, who possesses the Holy Sword that will kill him, is located.

In the process, as with all academy web novels, it’s a story about the protagonist, the golden generation, his harem members, and his friends defending against the invasion.

In other novels, most of the professors protect the students and are cool teachers, or even if they rule strictly, they sacrifice their lives in emergencies.

But the teachers of the Royal Academy in this novel were strong, but there weren’t many who had the awareness that they had to properly protect the students.

All of them were at the level of stealing the magic stones that fell when the protagonist defended against the Demon King’s army.

Among those dirty bastards, a single ray of light was the nurse, the ‘Saintess.’

As always, the Saintess had vast divine power in exchange for a physical disability.

Many Saintesses in creative works sacrifice their eyes or ears to gain divine power, but she sacrificed her tongue.

So she never spoke once in the novel.

So much so that readers lamented it as the only flaw in this novel.

Although she was mute, she knew that it would be much easier and more lucrative to rise to the position of a high priest who also treated nobles and royalty, but she insisted on becoming a school nurse, saying that young students who might become heroes shouldn’t have even the slightest injury, despite the church’s dissuasion.

    …Yes, she was.

It was a work by a novice author that gained quite a bit of popularity with just the writing skills alone, although it was full of clichés and had almost no original settings.

I was enthusiastic about that work, but the author was a complete trash bastard who killed off the most popular character in every work he serialized, and when the criticism reached its peak, he created another account and wrote another work.

Someone uncovered that he was such a bastard by tracing his IP address, but it was too late.

Not long after that post went up, a new chapter was uploaded, and everyone who had been reading all of his works watched it.

In the beginning of that chapter, the Demon King’s 1st Legion suddenly invaded the academy without any foreshadowing.

The Demon King’s army was so large that it couldn’t be compared to the students.

So the Saintess called the protagonist’s group and used all of her divine power to give them a blessing.

People thought that was an impressive production up to that point.

‘Sunlight comes in through the broken window of the infirmary, and the Saintess’s silver hair subtly reflects that light. The Saintess wore a crown of thorns made of divine light.’

The readers only saw that much and thought, ‘It’s based on Jesus,’ but the name of that miracle was ‘King of the Jews.’

It was an effect that burdened the caster with the pain and wounds of those who received the miracle.

Yes, she was truly the Saintess herself, bearing all the faults of others.

What was even more infuriating was that the motif for the commander of the 1st Legion of the Demon King’s army was Beelzebub.

    A demon who governs plagues.

    The lord of the flies.

Accordingly, his subordinates had toxicity in their attacks.

It was an attack that painfully contaminated and killed.

Thus, when the protagonist’s party arrived at the academy while chirping, “This miracle is a scam!,” the front of the academy infirmary reeked of blood.

When the bewildered protagonist entered the infirmary, the Saintess, with a benevolent smile, was kneeling on the blood-filled floor in a praying posture.

    She was dead.

The protagonist, who had secretly liked her, burst into tears, and the swordsmanship teacher, who had gone to the battlefield alone, grabbed the protagonist by the collar.

The Saintess died as soon as the stage of dreaming of a relationship beyond friendship came, so it was understandable that the swordsmanship teacher was angry.

Then, after killing off a few more main characters, the chapter ended.

You can guess what happened next.

All the readers hurled all sorts of swear words at the author, and I also sent 5700 characters of curses to the author, I don’t know how it was determined.

And with a relieved heart, I lay down on the bed and went to sleep.

And when I woke up, I woke up from a dream, floundering in straw in an abandoned stable.

    ‘F*ck.’

    “…That’s troublesome.”

Hah, is there even word filtering?

Reincarnation has improved a lot in quality these days.

It’s much better to have a polite tone than to have a strange tone.

Thinking such trivial thoughts, I moved to find a stream or something to check my appearance.

    Rustle-

As I got up, the straw that had been covering my body fell off.

If I didn’t receive any reincarnation perks, my life would fall off like that straw soon.

In front of me, as I got up from the pile of straw, there was a large full-length mirror that didn’t match the stable at all.

    It’s really unnatural.

But thanks to that, I was able to check my body right away.

The attire consisted of a stiff black coat coated with wax, black gloves as if not to make contact, and black boots.

And on the black coat, there was a stiletto dagger (a bit long to call it a dagger) and portable beakers containing various colored liquids.

And I was wearing a crow mask, known as the symbol of the plague doctor, and a hat with a long brim on top of it.

Moreover, my physique had become larger than before, appearing to be over 180 cm.

    ‘Stylish.’

    “…Cool.”

And there was one system that is indispensable when reincarnating into another world.

    “Status window.”

I expected a window to appear in front of my eyes, but a piece of paper fell in front of me.

And I couldn’t help but be shocked by my appearance.

    “Not bad.”

Well, with this much, I’ll be about the strongest in the world.

    …My ordinary life is ruined.

I wanted to rest a little this life…

I frowned at the annoyance I would experience in the future and came out of the stable.

Although I didn’t see a single horse, there was a black leather bag placed under a tree stump as if prepared for me in the district.

It looked like a pretty expensive black satchel bag.

    Jackpot.

As I approached to pick it up, the name of the bag was written in cursive on the top of the bag.

It was a language I had never seen before, but strangely I could read it.

    Even supporting languages?

    Lucky.

People in other novels lose their male body parts, or don’t even get language buffs, or just fall.

    ‘Black Dimension Bag’

Hmm, it’s quite a rare item.

Unlike other novels, items like dimensional pockets were not common in ‘A Harem Blooming in the Chaos of the Academy’.

Casting space magic itself was difficult, and if you had such power, the country would immediately impose sanctions.

They didn’t respect the success they had achieved through efforts such as raising taxes and having to follow the country’s orders in emergencies.

Would people with such power be making bags?

Anyway, the black satchel bag really suited my gentlemanly, neat attire.

After putting my dagger and liquid into the bag, the outside of the cabin that I looked at was a really beautiful forest.

What kind of refreshing flower scent, a strong smell of blood was stinging my nose.

When I scanned the surroundings to find the source of the smell, I saw traces of blood leading far away.

I don’t know what I was thinking, but perhaps due to the influence of becoming a plague doctor, the thought that I had to save the patient dominated my head.

The conviction that that person would die if it wasn’t for me was etched in my mind.

When I came to my senses, I was running.

    Oh well.

    I have to treat him.

Fortunately, the blood was neatly spilled, perhaps because the patient was desperately applying pressure.

I don’t know how long I’ve been running already.

Fortunately, the amount of blood I’ve seen along the way doesn’t exceed 1L.

Judging from the circumstances, the world I’ve come to is definitely the novel I was reading.

If there’s a reason to shed blood, it would be a knight or a magician.

And when I arrived at the place where the traces of blood ended, a man in a uniform was collapsed in a cave.

The person bleeding was indeed a middle-aged knight…

    What, it’s the academy headmaster?

This dying person is Regal Inverness, the person who died with the foreshadowing of Part 2 in the last episode of Part 1.

This person also had many fans because he was a really good person compared to other teachers.

He was a character created with the aim of targeting middle-aged charm, so he was popular with male fans.

I called out the Duke’s name while taking off my left glove.

    “Duke Inverness.”

The Duke’s eyes widened as he picked up the sword that had fallen.

As expected of the Empire’s only Sword Saint.

To not lose his mind even while bleeding.

    “..How do you know me..”

    Oh no.

In the novel, there was mention that he doesn’t particularly appear in social circles and puts all his energy into managing the school.

So even if he’s a high-ranking noble, it means it’s hard to know his face.

    In this case…

“A doctor must know all the details of the patient.”

I can answer shamelessly as if it’s obvious.

The Duke, hearing my words, quietly muttered to himself.

“Was there such a person left in the Empire…”

    I can’t hear what you’re saying…

The left hand I showed when I took off my glove was really rough.

The calluses were so thick that it wouldn’t be like this unless the body was made of magic.

While I was having these random thoughts, I remembered the thought that the Duke would be in pain.

I put my left hand on the wound.

    Flash!

As a strong light brighter than sunlight leaked out, the wound on the Duke’s stomach disappeared.

‘…Your healing power surpasses even the Saintess… amazing.’

The Duke put his hand on his stomach several times, then put his hand on his chest as if surprised, and said.

“Is there anything you want? I will reward you in the name of the Duke.”

    I’m already overpowered.

I tried to shake both hands, but my body seemed to think it was exaggerated.

So I only raised one hand and declined.

“Doctors don’t abandon their patients. It was just my nosiness, so just think of it as good luck.”

Ah really, even my tone changes and my movements change.

I have to find a way to not have my tone change later.

‘…Saintess, there was someone like you again…’

Duke Inverness muttered something and started crying.

    I can’t hear you, mister.

The Duke, who had been crying for a while, stopped crying and asked again in a polite manner.

“..Then I’ll make a suggestion, wouldn’t you like to become the nurse at our academy?”

    …Excuse me?
