Chapter 1: Prologue

The world was ushering in the era of Awakened individuals.

Just like in modern fantasy novels, people who awakened powers that could be called superpowers began to appear one after another.

However, the problem was that the strength of these superpowers was rather ambiguous, not strong enough to aid in crime, and the only difference was the lack of monsters.

No one knew why awakenings occurred or what the principle of superpowers was, but the world was, in fact, obsessed with Awakened individuals, and it had become an era where every move of an Awakened person was followed.

Of course, this was only limited to those who awakened good abilities.

And in such an era, a common presence was the freeloaders who, like me, also wished to awaken.

“Ah~ I wish I could awaken too~”

I was also a common ‘Awakening addict’.

A complete good-for-nothing NEET, wasting his life away always wishing for an awakening.

A trashy freeloader, a ‘backbone breaker’ who didn’t hesitate to suck his parents dry.

At that moment, what naturally caught my eye was my game character… and I couldn’t help but shout it out reflexively.
