Chapter 1: A Slightly Different Playful Life

Chapter 1: A Slightly Different Playful Life

    “Life of Entertainment”

Without even realizing it, I found myself staring at the installed app, swallowing nervously as my heart thumped wildly in my chest. I tapped on the icon.

[─Starting Life of Entertainment] [Tip: This app can only be seen by you. Even if you show it to others, nothing will appear, so don’t do anything that’ll make you seem weird.]

    “Oooooh─”

The welcome message popped up instantly, followed by a tip section. Everything about it felt too real. More thrilled than ever, I began exploring the fully opened Life of Entertainment app.

    [Start Life] [Manage Life]

    “This feels… really lacking…?”

    I couldn’t help but mutter.

‘Where are the stats? The random draws? Traits or skills or something like that????’

Compared to the novels I’d read, the menu was disappointingly barebones. Just two buttons. Dumbfounded, I tapped on “Start Life.”

[Please choose a world] [A new world will be unlocked once you complete one]

[1. One Piece] [2. Knight Run] [3. My Hero Academia] [4. Katekyo Hitman Reborn] [5. Jujutsu Kaisen] [6. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?] [7. Demon Slayer] [8. Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha] [9. Type-Moon] [10. Prisma Illya]

    “Uhh… Hmm…”

All the listed worlds were from manga I’d read, but unlike in those adult-themed stories, there weren’t any NSFW or adult-video-inspired settings. They all seemed… wholesome. A bit disappointing, honestly. Still, I exited to check the “Manage Life” tab.

It was completely empty. So I returned to “Start Life,” staring at the 10 available worlds, deep in thought.

In the end, whether I succeeded or failed, I had no choice but to try something.

“Which one should I try first…?”

‘Knight Run is definitely out. That place is basically a death sentence unless you’re ridiculously strong.’

By that logic, One Piece, Type-Moon, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Hero Academia were all extremely dangerous worlds. On the other hand, going into something like Prisma Illya or Lyrical Nanoha didn’t feel like it would grant me much power.

    “…Maybe One Piece is best?”

It had Rokushiki techniques. Haki. And most importantly—Devil Fruits. Probably the easiest world in which to grow stronger. Especially if I could land a Logia-type fruit. That kind of body would basically make me immune to physical attacks in most other worlds…

Despite the risks, I settled on the first world. One Piece.

And once I made up my mind, the obvious next step was to click it.

    ‘I’m definitely getting Boa Hancock…!!’

I was already fantasizing about charming the gorgeous female characters in One Piece when I clicked the world—only to immediately freeze.

    [Please choose your avatar]

[1. Boa Hancock] ─The woman destined to become the most beautiful in the world. Born with Conqueror’s Haki and brimming with talent. Traits: Conqueror’s Haki, Versatile Talent, Peerless Beauty.

[2. TS (Gender-Swapped) Dracule Mihawk] ─A swordswoman with unmatched beauty and swordsmanship. Traits: Sword God’s Aptitude.

[3. TS (Gender-Swapped) Portgas D. Ace] ─Luffy’s older sister and a stunning beauty. Also the owner of the Flame-Flame Fruit. Traits: Protagonist’s Sister, Pirate King’s Bloodline, Conqueror’s Haki, Flame-Flame Fruit.

    “Why are they all girls?!?!!”

    Every available avatar… was female!!

    But I’m a guy!!!

I started pacing the room anxiously.

Apparently, to enjoy Life of Entertainment properly, I had no choice but to accept a gender swap. I even tried switching worlds to look at the other avatars. All of them were women too.

What did this mean for me?

‘Okay, let’s say I compromise and go through with the gender swap for this experience. But what happens to my body in the real world after it’s over?’

From what I’d heard, abilities gained in Life of Entertainment carry over to reality—including physical changes.

So if I turned into a woman there… would I become one here too?

Would I really become a woman?

    “Ughhhhh…”

‘All I wanted was to build a harem… and now TS?! Seriously?!’

Still, quitting wasn’t an option. I’d rather give up my gender than pass on this chance.

Life of Entertainment was that good a deal—worth sacrificing gender for.

It was the chance to flip my life upside down.

Saying no just because I didn’t want to become a girl?

Then I’d be stuck poor, ugly, talentless—a loser forever.

Becoming a woman would be ten times better than that.

‘Still… if possible, I’d rather not change at all!!!’

    “Is this… a penalty? Probably, right…?”

Whoever created this app—some god or transcendent being—probably didn’t want me to get such powers without a drawback.

Fair enough. For powers this insane, a gender swap was honestly a pretty small price to pay.

In the end, I decided to accept reality.

    “Sigh… It’s not like I’ve ever had a girlfriend anyway…”

I never would’ve gotten one, either. So I chose to accept the gender swap.

That’s how badly I wanted to experience Life of Entertainment.

Even if it meant becoming a woman.

‘Alright, I’ll still go with One Piece… Now the real question is, which avatar?’

“Guess I’ll go with Hancock after all.”

    ‘Mihawk’s tempting, but she doesn’t have Conqueror’s Haki…’

Thinking that, I naturally picked option 1.

And right after that, a warning popped up.

[Do you really want to begin Life of Entertainment?] [Warning: Your selected avatar will be applied to your real body.]

‘So… that means I will be gender-swapped in real life too?’

“…Will it answer me? Like, what about my ID and stuff if my body changes?”

[Tip: Identity information will be automatically adjusted.]

The moment I asked, a new Tip window popped up.

I nodded. TS still wasn’t ideal, but if my identity was taken care of…

It was a small price to pay.

I was a loser who couldn’t even meet women—so if I could flip my life around through a gender swap, that was a steal.

With that thought in mind, I made an irreversible choice.

To begin my Life of Entertainment.

    [─You have selected Boa Hancock]

    [1. Original Start Timeline] [2. Pre-Original Timeline] [3. Post-Original Timeline]

    ‘Definitely the past!’

I needed time to train and more importantly, I had zero interest in becoming a Celestial Dragon’s s*ave, aka Hancock’s dark past.

So I chose to start about 24 years before the main story.

    Set at age five.

“Since there’s no stat draw or point system… I’ll just have to train the hard way.”

That’s why I set my starting age so low. I figured I’d use the time to train properly.

And just like that, my Life of Entertainment began.
