# SHOCKING! There’s an author rewriting a completed work from scratch?!

This novel, being my first, had quite a few shortcomings. Things like the weak story development, flimsy worldbuilding, and especially the parts I disliked most – week 4 and the ending.

Besides that, I also had doubts about the character Leo himself. That awkward feeling of “Why is he acting this way?”

I think this was particularly evident in week 4. So I’ve decided to rewrite everything from the beginning.

The characters will all remain the same, but the plot development and story will be similar yet completely different.

To summarize the changes…

1. The world setting changes from relatively normal to an apocalyptic state on the brink of destruction

A daily life of madness in a suspicious office that continues normal business even as the world falls apart.

The goal is still the same – defeating the Demon King. However, instead of the Demon King appearing after week 4 as before, it’s about defeating a Demon King who will appear someday.

In other words, rather than defeating the Demon King being the main story, the focus will be on completing requests at an office that maintains normal operations despite the collapsing world.

Now the title will finally make sense.

2. Leo’s tragic backstory + Part 1 will be Leo’s suffering story

This doesn’t mean Leo becomes a woman, but that he experiences tragedy. By the way, I’ll sell this as a separate work. The title will be something like “Blood-Colored Hero.”

That work will be a dark story, different from this one. I’ll write in detail the content I had summarized in 10 episodes before.

But thinking about a transformed beautiful girl going through a tragic story makes me too excited to resist the transformation element.

However, this means the genre will change to yuri, but only for Leo. If you’re not comfortable with yuri… well, it won’t continue into Part 1, so it might not matter.

And the conclusion of the backstory will change significantly. The process too.

Anyway, for those who can’t handle tragic stories, Part 1 will be designed so you can skip it without missing anything important.

3. Part 2 will be about the daily madness at the office

After Part 1 ends, I plan to serialize it under the title “Hero’s Office, Open for Business.”

I’ve already mentioned the plot above, so I’ll just highlight the important changes:

Lite gets stronger + Nam Ju-an joins the office from the beginning

The weakest character, Lite, will change from having no power to a position where she’s strong in “ranged combat only.” It was too difficult to progress the story with her being too weak.

Besides that, there’s Leo who becomes a sloppy mage, Rebecca the saint who can’t heal but deals good damage, and Agath who still has nothing but lust in her head.

Oh right, unlike last time, I think I’ll include the romance earlier in the remake.

There wasn’t enough flirting before. So this time I plan to bring it forward and significantly increase the frequency of lovey-dovey moments.

4. After Part 2 ends, the story continues in the next work, “Multiverse Academy”

This is the biggest reason I want to remake this story.

I originally planned for that story and this one to be connected. Specifically, Leo and Lite would appear as supporting characters there, and Leo’s story would be completely wrapped up.

But the quality of the current story isn’t quite satisfactory for that purpose.

The quality dropped as I wrote multiple works simultaneously, and it felt like I rushed to the conclusion.

Of course, that alone isn’t reason enough for a remake. It seems strange to remake something just for supporting characters who don’t have much prominence.

But I want to properly conclude the first story I ever wrote.

Honestly, I know this might be pointless, but I want to end this story satisfactorily.

The affection I’ve poured into this work hasn’t faded yet.

Anyway, after the remake, the world setting will change significantly. So while the characters remain the same, it will essentially be a different story.

Oh right, there will be a major change to Ju-an. From being purely good and kind, he’ll become a kind person with a somewhat darker inner side.

Honestly, being only good makes a character lack uniqueness. So I want to give him a clear personality this time.

When will serialization begin? Well, since I already have ongoing work, I can’t give a definite answer.

My guess is it will start after “Incompetent Demon King” concludes. But it could be sooner.

If I serialize “Incompetent Demon King” five days a week, it should finish in 3-4 months. If I push myself to release two chapters daily, it could end within a month.

But looking at my stamina, two chapters a day seems impossible. Still, I’ll try my best!

Anyway, I should prepare the cover for Part 1 first. The subject will obviously be the transformed Leo.

But I’m really excited about the idea of Leo (transformed) who supports the saint and yuri, being shocked at seeing himself in a parallel world in a heterosexual romance.
