Hello. This is HoneyBreadMonster.

I mentioned before that I would share the “episode” of how I started writing this novel. Haha.

I first began writing this novel because of the “cover.”

Originally, it was the cover below, which I created about 3 years ago? When I participated in a contest.

But.

That’s right.

That work was a complete failure. T_T

From the beginning, it was a novel that mixed modern fantasy + traditional fantasy, but it really didn’t attract any readers.

The main plot was about an author (protagonist) who created heroines with cancer, who eventually goes on hiatus due to malicious comments, then accidentally transmigrates into his own novel and tries to kill all the heroines himself.

The title was “Author on Hiatus, Into the Novel,” and following the title, I actually went on hiatus….

With no choice but to give up on the contest I had entered and focus on daily life, I started thinking it was a waste to not use the cover I paid for.

Especially since this was the first cover I had ever paid money to create, it felt even more wasteful. Hahahahahahahahahahaha

So I looked carefully at the cover.

According to the cover, I needed to include a maid character, and I decided to change the guard behind the female character to a “knight.”

In other words, I started determining the story of the novel based on the cover. T_T

And so.

I started just hoping to get my money’s worth for the cover, but I never expected to write this novel for so long. T_T

Still, as I wrote it as a full-length novel, readers eventually found it in large numbers, and especially when it ranked in the top 20 completed novels, it became a work that made me commit to writing consistently regardless of what kind of novel it was.

Finally, regarding the side stories, I actually heard that you can try various things with side stories and wanted to experiment, but I couldn’t do that out of respect for readers who enjoyed the original work. T_T

Although it’s regrettable, I’ll save what I wanted to try for my next fantasy work!

And I don’t know when the next side story will be, but I definitely plan to write about “Luna Brillhart.”

Lastly, even though you’re a small group, I truly thank all the readers who read through to the end despite it being a side story.

This was the original first cover hahahahaha. In the end, following the title, I went on hiatus. T_T T_T T_T T_T

Also, when I first started the work, I thought maybe no one was reading it because of the cover, so when I first serialized it, I used a text cover…. haha. Like this… hahaha
