#1. Afterword
Hello! This is Jonggyeolbu-munche. Thank you so much for reading “I Became the Villain in an Urban Fantasy.”
I had a lot I wanted to say, but as soon as I wrote “Afterword” as the title, I forgot everything.
So I’ll just write what I remember.
To everyone who read this story, thank you very much.
Somehow… seeing familiar usernames all the way to the ending gives me this wonderful feeling of meeting people at the base of a mountain, then again at the summit, and once more on the way home.
It’s because of all of you readers that I was able to continue writing this story.
Next, I’d like to thank the Novelpia PD. (You’re reading this, right?)
You helped me in many ways and… you encouraged me by saying, “This story is only real once it’s completed.” Those words gave me a lot of strength. Thank you.
To those who drew fan art, those who supported me, those who left comments, gave recommendations, and silently read along—thank you.
Whenever I got stuck, I could look at your feedback and think, “What would they do in this situation?”
I had a lot more I wanted to say, but I really can’t remember now, so I’ll just move on.
#2. Future Maintenance
Although “I Became the Villain in an Urban Fantasy” is complete, I plan to continue fixing sentences and typos.
#3. Next Work
I’m not starting anything right away, as I want to take some time to develop my ideas properly. I currently have a work in progress, and I’m preparing something else separately. So my next work will probably be ready to show you a bit later.
However, since my savings are starting to run out (…), I’m looking to work with more popular themes next time. Though ideally, I’d like to write everything I have in mind.
Here are some themes I’m considering:
(1) Submarine
(2) Fighter jet
(3) Military police – This is an improved version of “The Empire’s Mailman” that I wrote and took down before. It’s about military police assigned to an occupation force in an ambiguous region that belongs neither to them nor to the locals. It would be alternative history or modern fantasy rather than sci-fi, with a noir feel mixing investigation, espionage, and political conspiracy.
(4) Dark fantasy hero tragedy. Not a romance fantasy tragedy, but more like “Devilman Crybaby” style dark fantasy. There will be a hero, a holy maiden… something like that.
Have a good night and a great day.
Thank you!!
