Ch.9999. I Don’t Listen to Those Weaker Than Me (etc.)

Shanghai, Capital of the Republic of China.

The largest building in the center of the city was the headquarters of Guansheng Corporation, China’s most prestigious company.

And right now, in the chairman’s office located on the top floor of this mega-corporation’s headquarters…

    “What, he’s dead?!!!”

“Yes. They say he slipped on marble stairs and died instantly.”

The madman who was essentially the ruler of South China, Chairman Wang, was listening to his secretary’s report with rage boiling to the top of his head.

“That Gaolibangzi (Goryeo Bongja) bastard! How dare he die like that without knowing his place?”

Needless to say, the reason for his anger was the news of the accidental death of the South Korean president whom he had painstakingly brainwashed.

    BANG! BANG! BANG!

Chairman Wang, already notorious for his hot temper, pounded his desk furiously, unleashing his anger without restraint.

Rather than just an impulsive act of rage, this was his way of venting his anger to calm himself down, and furthermore, to reach a more rational state where he could view the situation objectively.

    “Hoo, hoo, hoooo…”

After raging for quite some time, Chairman Wang felt sufficiently relieved and took deep breaths to calm himself. Only then did he address his mistress-cum-secretary who had been quietly waiting beside him.

“…Well, let’s just chalk it up to bad luck and move on. What about the agent dispatched to Nano-Tech headquarters? That guy is a B-rank psychic user, even if he’s on the lower end (4th grade). Did he at least capture some researchers?”

    “H-he’s missing…”

    “…What?”

“A-a while ago, we l-lost contact, and the p-psychic connection was also s-severed…”

For a moment, Chairman Wang considered throwing the porcelain vase on his desk at the secretary’s face as his anger surged again, but that impulse quickly passed.

Having already vented his anger once, he calmed down much faster. With a deep sigh, he instructed his secretary-mistress to come closer so he could explore her body and soothe his mind—and at that very moment, it happened.

    CRASH!!!!!

Suddenly, with a tremendous noise, the wall connecting the chairman’s office to the outside shattered, and something large and dark burst in.

Valuing his life, Chairman Wang formed a psychic barrier to block the debris, activated his cognitive acceleration implant to assess the situation, and immediately took action.

“You, block it! And get out quickly!”

After throwing his mistress-secretary, a mid-level psychic-specialized hunter, as a decoy through the chip embedded in her head, he immediately called for his security team.

Although she hadn’t been in actual combat for a long time, being occupied with serving him, she was still mid-level. He expected her to buy him enough time to escape, but…

    Whoosh—SLASH!

Reality proved to be cruel. Far from buying time, the secretary was vertically bisected by whatever the intruder had swung—and as the dust settled from the weapon’s air pressure, the entity’s form was revealed.

Seeing the creature before him, Chairman Wang couldn’t hide his shock and involuntarily muttered:

“…The self-proclaimed Emperor? Why are you—”

The self-proclaimed Emperor of North China, who was reported to have died in battle against a mutant giant winter wolf, had appeared before him with a drastically altered appearance.

First of all, his height had changed.

While his previous 3-meter stature was impressive but achievable through enhancement procedures, he now stood over 5 meters tall and his appearance had transformed.

His beloved crescent blade was now stained a dull matte black, and his once-proud golden armor had not only turned black but had partially undergone biological mutation.

Between his legs grew a long, heavy tail protected by armored segments, and throughout the scales of his armor, white horn-like protrusions had grown as if contaminated by something.

The detachable jetpack he used to wear on his back had completely fused with his armor into biological material, and wings had grown—resembling a hybrid of dragon and demonic bat membrane.

In his right hand, he held the blackened crescent blade, but his left arm was empty—moreover, the entire left arm had undergone biological transformation.

The shoulder armor plate had become a massive black mass with sharp teeth, the arm was covered in scales like a dragon’s, longer and thicker than the right arm, and the hand retained only three large, beautiful fingers arranged in a circle at 120° intervals.

Finally, his head had completely transformed into that of a dragon, and judging by its movement and form, it was clearly that of a living creature.

In other words, before him stood a monster born from human mutation—an existence that overturned conventional wisdom.

For an ordinary person, this would be as shocking as a devout Catholic suddenly seeing an angel appear before them. But despite being overweight from eating beyond what his digestive implants could handle, Chairman Wang was still effectively the leader of a nation.

As such, he quickly faced reality and attempted to escape by creating a hole in the floor with his psychic power, but—how could someone barely qualifying as C-rank possibly escape?

    SQUELCH!

    “Guh, guhrk!”

With his abdomen pierced by the sharp claws of the left hand, Chairman Wang writhed in pain as blood poured from every orifice, but there was no way out.

As if being tortured, the force field seeped through the air holes in his body, causing even more excruciating pain. But with holes in his lungs and throat, he couldn’t even scream, only struggle with wheezing sounds—and just then:

    CRASH!!!

    “Chairman!”

Arriving a moment too late, Chairman Wang’s security team smashed through the entrance and rushed in—only to freeze at the shocking sight of the Chinese Emperor holding their boss up by the collar with claws embedded in his body.

This incomprehensible situation—the leader of a hostile nation transformed into a monster killing their charge—paralyzed them, while simultaneously they knew they stood no chance.

Moreover, why would they sacrifice their lives for someone who was already as good as dead?

So the 12-member security team, all equipped with small giant armor, immediately attempted to flee without looking back, but… as mentioned earlier, this was impossible for mid-level hunters.

The Emperor casually swung his crescent blade, cutting through the adamantium-mythril composite armor plates reinforced by force fields generated from the armor’s internal force field generators, slicing through the two closest guards more easily than cutting butter.

Only then did the others attempt to engage with their firearms.

    RATATATATATA!!!

Chairman Wang’s security team was using extremely rare conventional firearms in this world.

Each round was an anti-monster 10mm bullet with adamantium-mythril composite warheads coated in plasma and force fields, capable of firing 1,800 rounds per minute.

Ammunition issues were solved by using magazines enhanced with spatial expansion psychic technology—expensive for most but mere pocket change for Chairman Wang. Each magazine contained 5,400 rounds, each bullet worth about 4,000 dollars.

These 10 security team members unleashed these absurdly expensive weapons at maximum speed against the Emperor, but—

    “Uwaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!”

    “W-what the hell is that?!!!!”

The Emperor easily blocked the bullets with his force field-covered wings, then suddenly created a powerful gust by swinging his wings forcefully, making the security team stagger—and then charged with unbelievable speed for his 5-meter frame, swinging his crescent blade.

    SLASH!

In one stroke, three guards were diagonally dismembered, and the Emperor grabbed another with his left hand—which had somehow already put down Chairman Wang’s corpse—and used him as a bludgeon.

With the durability of giant armor made from processed Grade 3 monsters enhanced by force fields, the guard’s body became the perfect blunt weapon.

In an instant, he smashed three guards’ heads, dismembered two more with his crescent blade, threw one out of the building, and then discarded his human club outside as well.

Annihilating the security team took just 1 minute and 18 seconds.

After this one-sided battle, noticing the approaching sound of sirens, the Emperor pressed a psychological switch—

Exactly 4 seconds later, shattering the surrounded Guansheng Corporation headquarters building, the Black Mecha-Guan Yu, constructed of blackened psychic structures, appeared.
