    # Seria’s Plan

Seria’s plan, or rather, it wasn’t even something that needed to be called a plan.

What she intended to do was to use IP blocking to sweep away all the ruffians currently occupying the Green Tower forum.

Among those ruffians were, of course, malicious old fogeys.

No, most of those ruffians were malicious old fogeys.

Because of them, the forum that originally belonged to young elves had been taken over by old elves.

That’s why mass IP blocking was such a powerful technique.

With this, it was possible to create an opportunity by disguising it as a mistake.

    Yes, this was the opportunity.

What she was trying to do wasn’t really anything special.

IP blocking, using it to block anonymous users completely.

Since old elves didn’t like revealing themselves, most of them were active as anonymous users.

The plan was based on the idea that if anonymous posting was blocked to create a real-name forum, wouldn’t the old elves naturally give up on the forum?

The problem was what would happen when she used it.

‘The side effects will be enormous.’

    She knew that.

    Seria wasn’t stupid.

First, the backlash from the old elves would be beyond imagination.

Even now, seeing them occasionally throw tantrums made her want to send them off to die, and she wasn’t confident she could handle it if things got worse.

The second issue was that the forum would become closed off.

Making this forum usable only with real names meant, in other words, that magicians from other towers wouldn’t be able to use this forum.

Simply put, only Green Mages, and only those who logged in, would be able to use it.

Of course, to counter these side effects, she planned to use it only for dealing with troublemakers and then give the impression that she had blocked everyone by accident…

‘In the end, since I’m the administrator… I can just unban everyone…’

    That’s right.

Unlike her, the highest administrator, the administrators were the elders.

Even if she banned them as administrators, they could just unban themselves, and that would be it.

If they came back and restored all the IP blocks she had put in place, everything would be back to square one.

In other words, since she was the Green Tower’s highest administrator, she had no answer if someone asked why not just unban everyone.

Even if that didn’t happen, the elder administrators would unban themselves and restore the IP blocks to their original state.

If that happened, all her hard work would become meaningless.

    But…

    ‘That’s when they’re most vulnerable.’

Looking at it differently, that moment was an opportunity.

    ‘That’s when I’ll reveal my true intentions…!’

When the IP blocks are in place and everyone is banned.

And while the old elves are all banned and gone, and the elders are momentarily distracted trying to restore everything back to normal, that’s when she would reveal her true intentions.

The ultimate goal was to gather the young elves in advance and take back the Green Tower forum that had been swallowed up by them in the past.

Unlike the old elves, young elves tend to be wiser in these matters.

If she pulled the trigger first, they would step up to drive out the old elves.

It felt a bit unpleasant to use the young elves like this, but it couldn’t be helped.

The young elves probably didn’t like the old elves much either, so doing this shouldn’t be a problem.

Rather, Seria thought they might appreciate the Tower Master personally laying the groundwork for them.

It’s none other than the Tower Master herself setting the stage.

Even if it were just an elder doing this, it would be problematic, but this was being done by the Tower Master who officially rules the tower.

Even if they had many complaints, they wouldn’t have any particularly good options.

From the perspective of the young elves, who lacked justification anyway, this would be something to welcome.

    “Yes, that should be enough.”

She had been unsure about where to start, but fortunately, she now clearly understood what she needed to do.

“We shall reclaim what is ours…!”

Operation to reclaim the Green Tower forum.

A clash between generations was about to begin.

    * * *

    The calm before the storm.

The atmosphere in the Green Tower was unsettled.

The old elves, who already didn’t have a very good image of the current Tower Master, had started acting up even more after this defeat.

This was inevitably fatal for the young elves who maintained their influence by putting the Tower Master at the forefront.

However, they also knew that they couldn’t really blame Seria.

If they knew how much of an absurd monster Midir, her opponent, was, they would have to understand that her defeat was inevitable.

It was so certain and overwhelming that it made their whole bodies tremble involuntarily, even beyond the pride of being a Green Tower magician.

So it was natural for Seria to be defeated… that’s what the young elves thought.

That’s why they didn’t even enter the Green Tower forum when this incident broke out.

There would be nothing fun to see anyway, and they would only end up feeling sick from seeing frustrating things.

Why would they do something when they could already see the outcome?

    However…

“Hey, did you hear the news?”

    “Oh, ‘that’?”

A message began to spread secretly among the young elves of the Green Tower.

An address was being shared among them.

If you went to the Deep Forum, which was normally inaccessible, there was a post where Seria, the Tower Master, had verified herself and posted.

Normally, the old elves should have discovered the post as soon as it was uploaded, but the old elves only knew how to use TowerInside and weren’t very familiar with how to use MagicPads.

    No one had discovered them.

It happened because, although they were fewer in number, they were better at handling MagicPads than the old elves.

The post explained what the Green Tower Master was planning to do and how they should act when she made her move.

The Tower Master herself was stepping up to teach the old elves a lesson.

There was no reason for them not to join in.

Rather, many elves were excited as soon as they saw the post.

The forum had originally been theirs, but they had been pushed out simply because of the overwhelming difference in population.

And now they had been given a card that could flip the situation.

She explained that by using the new forum features, they could effectively filter out the old elves.

The young elves didn’t understand why simply preventing people from using the forum without logging in would be so effective, but when she showed them statistical data proving that most old elves operated as anonymous users without logging in, they couldn’t help but be convinced.

    Elves don’t like change.

For those who live for long ages, small changes are not worth paying attention to, and big changes are troublesome.

Although the forum has practically become theirs now, if they learn that they need to perform a new action called “logging in” to use the forum, they won’t be able to use it as casually as before.

Most old elves would probably find it bothersome and stop using the forum.

Then, as the population clearly decreases, they would get a chance to counterattack!

‘We just need to drive them out once.’

If they drove them out, their pride would prevent them from coming back to this forum.

In the first place, the old elves had taken over the forum not by aggressively trying to steal it, but by naturally flowing in one by one until they outnumbered the young elves.

But if human wave tactics no longer worked.

    They would lose their advantage.

The old elves would lose their confidence!

    ‘This is it.’

    ‘As expected of Lady Seria.’

The young elves trembled with excitement.

    They could win.

    They could reclaim it!

The home that had been taken, that had to be taken from them!

A poll supporting the post went up, and it achieved an impressive 99% participation rate.

Most elves had directly expressed their intention to participate.

It was rare for young people to gather all at once and do something so directly.

A new moment in the history of the Green Tower forum was approaching.

    As time passed.

    “Phew.”

    Seria let out a sigh.

Today was the day of the decisive battle.

To overturn the Green Tower, send all the old elves off to die, and reclaim their forum.

Seria posted a message of encouragement to the young elves with determination.

    “Today, we will reclaim.”

    Our homeland and our heritage!
