Ch.95Splitting the Continent, Aftermath.

    # Beast of Apocalypse, Khan

An unprecedented situation where an entire continent was divided into seven islands by Khan, the Beast of Apocalypse.

Many changes had occurred during this time.

Islands where kingdoms remained intact fared relatively well, but those where kingdoms were split in half or where all royal family members perished fell into civil war, resulting in even more casualties.

Those who had always lived on land suddenly found themselves surrounded by sea on all sides. Once-fertile agricultural regions could no longer farm, causing many to starve to death.

More than half of humanity perished through famine, war, human trafficking, and cannibalism.

Some islands descended into an era of great chaos where ordinary people could not survive. Heroes emerged to resolve these crises, ending the three-year period of chaos.

One such island was Ephyr, formerly the Silpin Kingdom, where all royal family members had died during the continental split.

This island, which had suffered the worst fate among all islands with continuous civil war, people dying, and cannibalism due to food shortages, finally found peace with the emergence of one woman.

She raced across battlefields with her golden hair flowing behind her, wielding a spear of golden aura and wearing pure white armor that emitted golden light. She was so popular that people called her the reincarnation of Uldur.

Eventually, she succeeded in ending the civil war and establishing a new royal family on Ephyr Island.

The name of that royal family was Leon.

With Queen Rebecca Leon’s ascension to the throne, Ephyr Island ended its year-long civil war and began reconstruction. She now focused on establishing relations with other nations.

Meanwhile, unlike the Leon Kingdom of Ephyr Island, some kingdoms remained intact.

Salion, formerly known as the Magic Kingdom, was one of them.

They were governed by the king who was also an 8th Circle Master and Tower Master, along with elders and high mages who were 7th Circle wizards.

Fortunately, they had emerged from Khan’s continental division relatively unscathed.

In fact, they had gained more territory by incorporating lands that previously belonged to the Empire.

With intact resources, climate control through magic to grow crops, and marine life for food supplies, they managed well.

Though initially shocked by the sudden changes, these greatest scholars among humans quickly adapted.

While the former Silpin Kingdom, now Leon Kingdom, suffered through civil war, they continued to grow in the changed environment, reaching what could be called their golden age.

Their first action was to establish contact with Palais. However… the other kingdom was in no position to respond, dealing with the collision of their land with the continent and fighting for survival.

As they attempted to contact other kingdoms, their means of communication with the Silpin Kingdom disappeared when it fell and was replaced by the Leon royal family. The northern barbarians had always been impossible to contact through crystal balls.

Even when they tried to contact the Lacor Kingdom, there was no response. Because of this, the Salion Kingdom focused on one task for a year and a half.

That task was to lift their island into the sky.

The method for creating a sky island from the mythical era was discovered in ruins revealed when the land split, and they devoted themselves to this project.

They continued to gather magic stones and used a dragon heart, known as the “heart of infinite mana,” discovered at the same site as the sky island creation method, as their power source.

    Their efforts finally bore fruit.

    “Woooong—!!”

“Oh, Tower Master! We’ve succeeded! The dragon heart and mana stones have begun resonating!”

    “Ohhh…”

Tower Master and King Arkham Salion’s white beard trembled as he gazed at the dragon heart with an expression of joy.

With a rumbling sound, the island that had broken off from the continent began to rise into the air, finally ascending to the sky thanks to tens of thousands of mana stones and the dragon heart.

“We shall call this land where our kingdom exists a sky island, and hasten to install magic cannons on the bottom and perimeter of the island!”

Having succeeded in lifting their island, the Salion Kingdom focused on producing and installing their masterpiece, magic cannons. After a year, the island became what could be called a sky fortress.

“All preparations are complete. Now we… shall become the masters of Grancia!”

The sky island magic kingdom of Salion set course for the Grancia mainland.

Meanwhile, the maritime kingdom of Palais, which Salion had tried but failed to contact, had experienced great turmoil.

A massive island that had broken off from the Grancia continent had collided with Palais Island.

Due to this powerful collision, ocean currents remained unstable for nearly a year, causing marine monsters to run wild and even ancient monsters from the deep sea to emerge.

These beings were too powerful for humans to handle, and the people of the Palais Kingdom had to deal with newcomers from the former Imperial territory as well.

Living through this era of great chaos, they realized they needed to join forces or the entire island would be devoured by monsters.

Though they differed in appearance and customs, they united under their common humanity. As a result, they survived the rampage of marine and deep-sea monsters.

Without outstanding heroes, wise sages, or superhuman warriors, they endured the monster attacks and marine creature rampages, and after two years, they were able to become a complete, unified kingdom.

They became one under the name of Palais.

Though many lost their lives when the continent changed to islands, islands collided, and monsters rampaged, the survivors grew stronger.

Adamantium mines, titanium mines, and mana stone mines were revealed when the land split.

They succeeded in creating a new ore called Titanite by combining titanium and adamantium, eliminating the heaviness of titanium ore and creating a new mineral that could absorb more mana.

With this discovery, they built ships to deal with marine monsters and return to the former Grancia continent.

A ship more powerful than any other.

The One, a super-massive battleship 200 meters long, made with their newly created ore, Titanite.

Named with the hope that it would remain the strongest vessel of the Palais Kingdom.

While their previous strongest ships barely exceeded 70 meters, this new vessel was three times larger, resembling an ark.

It was equipped with 72 magic cannons obtained from Salion and the former Imperial territory, plus 119 Elemental Ballistas created by Imperial mages working together.

Such a vessel had never existed, even in the mythical era, and likely never would again. The super-massive ship The One demonstrated its might as soon as it began its maiden voyage.

Sea serpents, dolphins, mermen, mermaids, and even krakens.

It eliminated sea monsters one after another, from strange fish half the size of the Last One with antenna-like protrusions emitting light, to enormous sharks with protruding snouts, blind crocodiles, and transparent luminous creatures 300 meters long.

Having defeated all these monstrous beings, The One began sailing toward other islands to demonstrate its might to humans.

Meanwhile, the Lacor Kingdom had split in two.

They were now divided into Agni Island, which worshipped the fire god Agni, and the former Lacor royal family.

Agni Island, populated only by nobles, experienced a massive civil war surrounding the island, similar to Ephyr Island, the former Leon Kingdom.

People died at the hands of other people, and even monsters joined the hellish situation.

In this situation, the powerless common people sought a god and looked for Uldur, whom they believed in.

However… Uldur did not appear to them, and even his priests were busy trying to survive by banding together.

As the common people began to lose faith in Uldur, the Black Fire Saintess appeared.

The woman, who introduced herself as Lee Juyeon, a saintess serving the fire god Agni, united the common people.

The Saintess advanced, crushing nobles with overwhelming strength, and engaged in a life-or-death battle with a man who had also risen to power in these troubled times.

The Saintess’s powerful divine power and all-consuming flames against the man’s two fists.

The battle between the man who fought with brute force and the religious woman who believed in her god continued for an entire week, and the victory was decided by the narrowest of margins.

    The Saintess emerged victorious.

After defeating the man, the Saintess ended the turmoil on Agni Island and ascended as both queen and saintess of the Agni Divine Kingdom. Having ended the six-month period of chaos, she focused on rebuilding.

Using information from the mythical era obtained from the fire god Agni whom she served, the Agni Divine Kingdom became even more powerful than when it was the Lacor Kingdom, and now sought to extend its influence to the Lacor Kingdom, which was essentially its motherland.

Meanwhile, Paradise Island, where the Lacor royal family had survived, was occupied by two individuals.

One used weapons never seen before, making thunderous sounds to occupy the royal family, while the other used curses and various magics to annihilate the royal soldiers.

They quickly massacred the royal family, occupied the kingdom, and assassinated nobles who opposed them.

After swiftly taking over the kingdom, they renamed it Paradise and began squeezing the people to fund their movement to other islands.

The northern region of the continent had long been ruled by one man.

These people had always been self-sufficient through hunting, so they didn’t care whether the continent split into islands or not and focused on their own affairs.

They honed their martial skills, hunted for food, and had children to increase their numbers.

Despite being separated from the continent, they continued their daily lives without any confusion and responded to the call of their leader.

All humans in the north, regardless of distance, came forward at his call.

They bowed before the ice figure wielding a massive battle axe.

People called him the one who appeared 10 years ago and began to stand out 7 years ago.

The northern people called him this because of his strength and his ability to be reborn as a new being even after death.

    The Undead.

The Undead looked over those bowing before him, silently raised his battle axe to point to a distant place.

Without hearing any words, they knew what they had to do.

They built ships, smoked food to extend its preservation period, forged new weapons, and made armor from monster hides.

After completing all preparations, the northern people began crossing the sea in small ships built with crude technology.

And on an island that had broken off without any kingdom, all humans were exterminated by one being.

    A massive, massive sea monster.

The creature was so enormous that when it spread its wings, it could cover one side of the island. It split the island with water and fired powerful lightning from its tail, scorching the earth.

Every time it emerged from the sea, heavy rain fell, and despite being a marine creature, it created tornadoes as it flew with its wings.

After a week of heavy rain, tornadoes, and the creature’s water and lightning attacks, no living beings remained.

Having exterminated all life, the creature, seemingly dissatisfied with the land itself, continued attacking until the island sank beneath the sea.

After completely destroying the island and submerging beneath the surface, this being will someday awaken again to demonstrate its might once more.

Finally, at the center of the islands split by Khan.

The Grancia mainland, which might still be called the continent’s core, or perhaps now an island of immense size.

When this place fell into chaos after losing its ruler, the chaos was quelled by the appearance of Lepil, a warrior of the Light Order.

Wielding a bow of light, she fired arrows of light to eliminate monsters that had appeared in various regions and intervened to end conflicts between humans.

People called her the reincarnation of Uldur.

Her powerful arrows were worthy of being called humanity’s warrior, and she demonstrated her might for three years.

People cheered and were ecstatic at her appearance, praising her as the only warrior who could save them from this chaos.

The Uldur Order seized this opportunity to gather survivors one by one and build their own kingdom, the Holy Kingdom.

All to defeat the monster trapped in the pillar of light that would someday awaken.
