Ch.94″Would you like to… be secret friends with me?”
by fnovelpia
Of course, there were obvious limitations to what authority Oxianor currently had to do anything for us.

<<“I’m truly sorry, but this is all I can offer you right now.”>>
“Hmm.”
For someone who had successfully tamed (not really) the Pirate Empress (not really), what the Commander received was woefully inadequate.
Nevertheless, I responded to Oxianor’s sincere apology with nonchalance.
After all, what was important to us now wasn’t the “mere” compensation Oxianor could provide…
“So regarding the current situation and how important our Commander is…”
<<“Is there any doubt? I’ve already reported everything about this situation to the Queen without omitting a single detail.”>>
Including even Oxianor’s own “mistake,” everything witnessed here was reported to the monster faction’s “Queen.”
What mattered was the reward that would follow.
Of course, as just mentioned, the process included Oxianor’s mistakes…
The fact that issues which nearly caused a conflict not just with an ordinary commander but with the “Pirate Empress” were reported meant that Oxianor could potentially be replaced with another intelligent terminal.
While maintaining an indifferent attitude, I showed a very responsible demeanor.
Despite the various debuffs affecting our trust level earlier, I was internally quite impressed by Oxianor’s efforts to protect us to the best of his ability.
“That was much faster than expected, Oxianor.”
<<“Of course, since that commotion occurred due to my misunderstanding… it’s only right that I take responsibility for it.”>>
The fact that he openly acknowledged it wasn’t my misunderstanding made me think:
‘Wow.’
I sincerely hoped this eye-gentleman with surprisingly good character would live a long, long life.
==========
Anyway, we successfully sent information about our situation to the monster Queen through Oxianor.
The problem was that the report included details about a “secret alliance” between two factions.
<<“Currently, our neural network is quite congested and overloaded.”>>
“Hmm?”
<<“I think it will take at least a week for the genetic information containing the data I’ve compiled here to reach the Queen, and then for her response to reach us again.”>>
“I see.”
Hearing directly from him that it would take at least a week.

‘Mmm, sweet.’
I decided to visit the event shop with the points I’d earned through our Marian’s automatic quest acquisition system (ver. Pir-ate).
Of course, before that, since I’d decided not to rely on my shabby memory anymore.
I opened the gallery window to check the performance of the “Bahamut-class Medium Cruiser” that I had previously intended to purchase.
But when I actually looked, contrary to my memory.
I realized that the ship’s performance had some sort of nostalgia bias…

Title: Bahamut-class Artillery Medium Cruiser Review
Author: TekeliliChan
Content: [Image of Bahamut-class at a 45-degree “perfect face angle” view]
First off, this thing looks incredibly cool, and on paper, its specs are quite good.
It’s also quite large, so newbies often use it as a flagship when forming expedition fleets.
But there’s a trap in its performance: while the main guns have a huge caliber, their rate of fire is trash.
Sure, each shot is stronger than typical medium cruisers, but the problem is this is an SSS-class ship.
Among other SSS-class ships, none have single-shot firepower that’s inferior compared to regular medium cruisers.
And about its tanking ability, it’s superior on paper.
But this piece of garbage just focuses on protecting vital parts, so the outer armor plating gets holes like a damn sponge when hit.
What’s really serious is that while the ship is huge and can carry many defensive troops inside,
The armor itself is so pathetic that after a few artillery exchanges, all your defensive troops just get wiped out lol.
And then the enemy just needs to launch a few assault pods into your sponge-like Bahamut, and they can take over the ship entirely.
But then someone might say:
Looking at the catalog specs, it seems pretty fast, so isn’t it designed for mobile warfare?
Is that why the armor is thin?
Yes, according to the settings and specs, its speed is similar to most destroyers.
But that’s the maximum speed; in reality, it’s about a quarter of that.
This thing’s only advantage is using its massive size and “medium cruiser” classification
To scare off stupid newbies who try to ambush your resource fleet without knowing better.
By the way, it wasn’t originally this bad, but it got nerfed recently and fell off hard.
3-line summary:
1. Trash firepower, trash armor, trash mobility
2. Just a large transport ship that only looks cool
3. If anyone bought this from the event shop, give them an upvote

-[Tip posts deserve upvotes]
-[Damn, it looks like some middle school fantasy battleship, but performs like absolute garbage;;]
-[So what was it like before the nerf?]

‘No, my Bahamut!!!’
It was truly unfortunate.
I felt a wave of sadness upon learning that the Bahamut-class I had been aiming for had become complete garbage.
Wondering if that tip post might be wrong, I opened the general chat (anonymous) to ask there as well…

-[Hey guys, how’s the Bahamut-class? Good?](Questioner)
-[Oh dear child, that’s not something you should get]
-[Heyo, don’t do it]
-[Seems like a newbie, don’t put something in your mouth just because it looks pretty]
-[It’s beautiful garbage with only a cool name and appearance, don’t buy it]
-[Instead, I recommend something practical like the Azkran-class or Kanhel-class]
-[That’s right, if you’re a newbie, there’s no need to obsess over large ships]
-[Ah, thanks, so I shouldn’t even look at the Bahamut](Questioner)
-[Take care]

As soon as I asked the typical newbie question about whether the Bahamut was good.
Seeing the veteran players rushing to respond, I nodded and decided to let her(?) go in my heart.
‘Farewell, Bahamut… a commoner nerfed in an era without me.’
Anyway, after erasing that performance-halved garbage ship from my mind.
I looked at what I had been considering purchasing next after the Bahamut-class.
