    Ch.94Ep.94 Conquest of Olympus

It felt like I was dreaming.

Hemera, having absorbed Zeus’s heart, had stepped into a place she never imagined.

All the concepts she had known until now disappeared and were replaced with new ones.

A majestic sight that couldn’t be expressed in words obscured her vision.

It seemed like she could achieve it if she took just one more step.

It felt like she could accomplish everything if she could just grasp that light.

But why was the light growing more distant?

    “Haaah…”

At that moment, Hemera realized. That light she was trying to seize was the true Ascended Order.

To fully awaken the Ascended Order, she needed to eliminate everything standing in her way.

So she retreated for now. She needed time to become complete.

“I could have reached the supreme state, but you interfered.”

“You’re seriously insane. Is your second phase completely out of your mind?”

“I don’t know what nonsense you’re spouting, but I’ll make you regret awakening my consciousness.”

“I’m the one who has no idea what you’re talking about.”

Radios was speaking irritably, but inwardly he was wary of Hemera.

The thrilling energy he had felt from her had somehow disappeared.

It wasn’t gone completely. As long as he could still feel that chilling sensation, it would be correct to say she had learned to contain that energy.

She must have ascended to a completely different level than before.

Radios first sent Namgung Ihyun and Serena back into the shadows.

Although they were undead, he had a feeling that if they died in the battle against Hemera, they might not come back to life.

[She hasn’t fully awakened the Ascended Order yet. I’d say she’s just crossed the boundary line.]

‘What are the chances of victory?’

[Slim. However, if she’s just stepped into that realm, she’ll be preoccupied with establishing concepts.]

    ‘Concepts?’

Azathoth was one of two beings who had awakened the Ascended Order along with Chaos.

Since Hemera was believed to have awakened the Ascended Order, listening to his advice was the best option.

He considered Hemera’s current state unstable because…

When awakening the Ascended Order, the molecular structure of the body completely breaks down and rebuilds itself.

To put it simply, it was like having to relearn everything from the beginning.

In other words, everything she knew had become unfamiliar.

How to move energy throughout the body while breathing, how to walk, how to grip weapons, and so on.

Reestablishing all of these things and embodying them appropriately.

That was the first task that a being who had awakened the Ascended Order needed to accomplish.

[So the time you can defeat that one is until before she establishes her concepts. Of course… it’s extremely short.]

Following Azathoth’s words, Radios immediately gripped the God-Slaying Light Swords in both hands.

“So basically you’re saying finish this quickly!”

    BOOM!

Realizing time was short, Radios immediately charged toward Hemera.

She seemed preoccupied with establishing her concepts and merely stared at the approaching Radios.

    “..!”

At that moment, Radios sensed a chilling energy aiming for his neck and retreated backward from his charge.

And the moment he stepped back, a massive axe completely shattered his expected path.

    Hemera frowned at the sight.

It seemed she wasn’t handling her power well yet, but Radios gulped nervously at the sight.

‘This is her state before establishing concepts?’

What if Hemera became accustomed to that power? What if he couldn’t dodge and got hit by that attack?

The Goblin Mask would heal his wounds, but it would create a brief opening.

As Azathoth said, the only chance was before she established her concepts.

    “Twilight Sword, Infinite Generation.”

    PAPAPAPAPAK!

Radios used the Divine Fragment: Infinity.

Although it was a fragment with a short duration, he needed to kill Hemera regardless.

    “Eat this!!”

Infinitely generated Twilight Swords rushed toward Hemera.

Seeming to find this somewhat dangerous, she lifted off the ground and flew into the air.

    “Chaos Release.”

Radios had been waiting for this.

The formless chaos spreading from his back bound Hemera’s legs.

    “Futile effort!”

But as soon as she detected the binding, she cut through the chaos and freed herself.

After that, Chaos Release was completely ineffective against Hemera, as if it didn’t exist as a skill.

    “Blue Flame Tsunami.”

    WHOOSH!

Thinking this wouldn’t work either, Radios created Blue Flame Tsunamis above, below, left, right, front, and behind Hemera.

“You thought to devour me with something like this!”

Hemera, enraged by Radios’s attempt to gradually wear her down, spread both arms.

Then the Blue Flame Tsunami, which had seemed like it would never extinguish, subsided.

    “It’s useless!”

Hemera created an axe of light and descended toward Radios.

The Twilight Swords were still being infinitely generated and attacking her, but her body didn’t even get a scratch.

    “Tch!”

Finally, Radios summoned Triaina to confront Hemera’s descending axe.

    CLANG!

    “Urrrgh!”

    Such tremendous power.

Even wearing the Goblin Mask, Radios had to step back several paces before he could deflect Hemera’s attack.

    But her attacks didn’t stop.

She cleverly utilized her body despite its reverse movement, continuing her combo attacks without caring about her tearing muscles.

    But Radios was the same.

    “Haaah!”

    SCREECH!

Even with reverse movement affecting his body, even with muscles tearing, they quickly recovered.

    CLANG CLANG CLANG!

Even though Hemera’s axe moved dynamically, Radios could continue to respond.

The infinitely generated Twilight Swords attacked her blind spots.

Triaina and the Penetrating Joint-Breaking Spear countered her long-range attacks.

And whenever distance opened between them, he immediately aimed for Hemera’s vital points with Divine Killing Bullets.

As the meaningless exchange continued, Radios was the one who became more desperate.

‘Damn! At this rate, she’ll finish establishing her concepts!’

Feeling the crisis, Radios decided to use the Six-Cutting Bone Breaking technique.

    “Are you abandoning defense!”

As Radios charged at Hemera, exposing his heart, his weak point.

She brought down her axe toward his heart without any suspicion.

    “Arrrgh!”

A merciless strike that penetrated his collarbone and cut the edge of his heart.

Radios momentarily faltered from the extreme pain, but he knew that if he delayed any longer, it would be over.

    “Divine Killing Cannon..!”

    What he chose was…

A transformation of Astrape reminiscent of the bazooka used by Earthlings.

He concentrated all his magical power into it and loaded it with a divine killing shell to annihilate his opponent.

    “Oh no..!”

Hemera seemed to notice Radios’s strategy and stepped back, but at that moment.

    THWACK!

    “Kuh, kuhak!”

    “?!”

    “Now, Radios!!”

Veichel’s Gungnir, which had appeared from nowhere, pierced through Hemera’s heart.

Hemera didn’t know about Gungnir, but it was the spear that had killed gods.

Having inadequately awakened the Ascended Order, Hemera couldn’t help but feel the tremendous pain.

    “This is the end!”

Radios shouted as he fired the Divine Killing Cannon.

What Hemera saw when she regained her senses from the pain was…

A massive missile falling toward her head.

She wanted to move her body somehow, but she couldn’t regain her senses due to the intense pain rising from her heart.

    ‘…Nyx.’

Thinking of her sibling, she ultimately…

    BOOM!

Had her head struck by the Divine Killing Cannon and lost her life pathetically.

With her death, Olympus had finally fallen.

    “Cough! Kheuk…”

However, Radios couldn’t feel completely relieved.

The Divine Killing Cannon was a technique with power beyond what he could handle now.

A terrifying technique with concentrated power that could annihilate even a being with the Ascended Order in one blow.

Perhaps even Azathoth or Chaos couldn’t block that attack.

But what was more puzzling was…

‘Veichel. How did she… get here?’

It had been so long since they lost contact, yet she suddenly appeared in the battle against Hemera and helped ensure the final attack hit.

What would have happened if she hadn’t appeared at the critical moment?

The Divine Killing Cannon might have missed and ruined everything.

“You look pretty rough. Was it that difficult?”

“Veichel… what have you been doing all this time…”

Radios gave a bitter smile as he criticized the approaching Veichel.

But only briefly, as he sensed something off about her.

She was definitely the Veichel Breate he knew. But why…

    ‘Are her eyes red?’

Something was wrong. The person before him was Veichel, yet not Veichel.

    “Who exactly are y–“

    THWACK!

Just as Radios opened his mouth, Gungnir’s blade pierced his heart.

Only then did he realize. Someone had taken control of Veichel’s body, and…

    That someone’s identity was…

    “CHAOOOOS!”

“Azathoth. The game is over, so let’s go.”

    “..?!”

But Radios was too shocked to speak when he heard the name Azathoth from his mouth.

    What was happening?

Weren’t the Devouring Azathoth and the Void Chaos supposed to be opposing entities?

    As he thought this…

[Connection with the Blind Idiot God has been severed.]

[You are no longer Azathoth’s apostle.]

    [Authority: Outer Devouring completely disappears.]

    Radios…

Was betrayed once again by the god he had served.
