Ch.9292. Jung Euiseok Standing Before the Beach, Swimsuits, and Alcohol

    “Hafa tatamanu hau?”

    “Buenas dias!”

As I entered the resort, well-dressed handsome and beautiful staff lined up on both sides to greet us.

They weren’t natives, but they seemed to be creating an atmosphere by deliberately using local greetings.

    “Hafa lai! Hafa lai!”

A well-dressed, pleasant-looking middle-aged man approached me with big strides and placed a flower necklace around my neck. He was laughing heartily while welcoming us, but honestly, this kind of atmosphere makes me uncomfortable.

Looking to the side, I saw Somi, Lu-a, Lena, and Boksil receiving flower necklaces from the female staff, and they seemed to be enjoying it, their expressions bright.

Especially Lu-a, whose face was practically buried in flowers from receiving so many, was continuously asking for more.

    “The room is amazing!”

Lu-a’s eyes sparkled as she entered the top floor.

Right in front was the ocean, and outside there was a private pool. It felt like a luxurious mansion that must be at least 6,600 square feet inside.

“Lena, look! We can take bubble baths too!”

Watching Lu-a excitedly running around everywhere, Lena could only give a sympathetic smile and nod. Lu-a was displeased with Lena’s reaction.

“Yeah, I’ve never seen anything like this before. Are you trying to show off how rich you are?”

“My, my, I was just being quiet and you’re picking on me? If you want, I can show off even more.”

    “No thanks.”

I spoke while carrying my luggage and opening one of the room doors.

“Let’s decide on rooms. Somi and I will take this one, so speak up now if you want to switch.”

“Wait a minute. You’re planning to share a room with Somi?”

Lu-a ran over to me and protested.

    “Of course we’d share, right?”

“No way. One room per person.”

“What are you talking about? We came here to rest.”

“We came to rest, but this is also a workshop for the evil sentai Vengeance. I’m the manager.”

This is exhausting. She’s so full of enthusiasm.

As I was about to argue with Lu-a, Somi intervened.

“Let’s go with what Lu-a says for now, Ui-seok.”

“Why are you taking her side?”

    “For now, at least.”

    “Fine.”

It seems the women formed some kind of alliance or conspiracy while I was away.

I guess I’ll have to do as they say for now.

    “Boksil will sleep here!”

    Splash!

Before I knew it, Boksil, wearing only underwear, had jumped into the pool and was now floating leisurely with just her head above water, doing the dog paddle.

“I’ve been wondering, is Boksil feline or canine?”

“Probably some terrible hybrid. Let’s get organized and head downstairs.”

I changed into a short-sleeved shirt and shorts first and left the room. The women seemed to need more time, so I headed to the beach on the resort grounds.

This trip was scheduled for three days and two nights. Since we had rented out the entire resort, the beachfront naturally became a private beach.

I had already arranged for the staff to stay out of sight after this, as nothing is more annoying than being disturbed while resting.

    “Hmm.”

The weather was on the hot side. The wind tasted salty. The beach scenery was quite nice. The shallow parts were sky blue, mixed with the color of sand. From where it suddenly got deeper, the water was a painted deep blue.

I might join in water activities if others do, but I’m not particularly fond of them. I find it much more relaxing to lie on the beach and watch the clouds.

    Still, it’s the beach.

This is my first trip purely for fun.

Even when I went to the mountains with the Dragon King Sentai, it was closer to a survival training camp.

    “Hey, Ui-seok.”

I turned my head at the sound of Lena’s voice.

Somi, Lu-a, Lena, and Boksil had arrived in beach attire.

“Huhu, see? One trillion won per second. Cash only, of course.”

Lena was wearing a white swimsuit with lots of lace and a silk coat draped over it. Her skin was naturally pale, making it hard to distinguish the boundaries of her clothing.

She was blocking the sunlight with a wide-brimmed hat and fanning herself with a local leaf.

    “Boksil doesn’t like this outfit.”

Boksil was wearing a school swimsuit that looked a bit tight and uncomfortable. Her ears were drooping.

“Boksil, regular swimsuits would come off with your intense movements. Hmm… I’m not sure if mine is okay.”

Somi was wearing a bikini top but had short jean hot pants on the bottom. It suited her well, given her naturally active personality.

She had tied her hair in two ponytails, perhaps to make her horns less noticeable, which made her look younger.

    Hmm.

She is pretty. Her gestures, speech, and attitude are exactly the Somi I know.

But since she looks like Morgan, there’s definitely some dissonance.

It hasn’t even been a year since she was a mortal enemy I fought against.

I’ll have to get used to it.

    “…Do I look weird?”

Lu-a was dressed in a simple bikini.

    Well.

    She’s cute.

    “Everyone looks good.”

I casually shared my opinion and sat down on a sunbed under a parasol.

I put on sunglasses and took a sip of the cocktail that was ready, moistening my lips.

    “…That’s it?”

    “What?”

    “Sigh, never mind.”

Lu-a sighed. Lena naturally sat down on the sunbed next to mine.

“Doesn’t it feel like you can breathe again after so long? I had a book I wanted to read, so this works out well.”

“Lena, you’re sitting down too?! We’re at the beach and no one’s going in the water?”

“Everyone enjoys things differently, don’t they? I tend to avoid unstructured exercise.”

Lu-a looked disappointed as Lena opened her book. Somi approached Lu-a with a beach ball.

“Lu-a, come in the water with me instead. Boksil, would you like to join us too?”

    “Tch, fine.”

    “Need an amphibious battle tank?”

“That sounds fun! Both of you, don’t forget to warm up.”

Somi took care of the two and led them into the water. They soon started splashing around, looking quite enjoyable.

“So, what are you three plotting?”

“I don’t know what you mean.”

Lena pretended not to know, not even giving me a glance.

“I don’t know what agreement you three made, but if it’s about how Vengeance operates, you need my approval.”

“Ui-seok, we’re not children, nor are we your children. You should quickly abandon your habits from handling the Dragon King Sentai if you don’t want to get hurt.”

“…That’s a fair point. But why are you calling me by my real name?”

“We’re on vacation. Moreover, there’s no need to hide your identity anymore, so unless we’re on a mission, there’s no reason to call you Geo, is there?”

    “That’s also a fair point.”

    “Huhu. ‘Makes sense’?”

“Yes. I completely understand. I’ll reflect those opinions… Wait. Did you just use suggestion on me?”

    Lena laughed like a devil.

“Isn’t it interesting? How a single word can change a person’s perception.”

Lena’s language ability had surpassed level 20, unlocking mental interference.

Though the effect isn’t great yet, in a little while she’ll be able to brainwash or hypnotize people.

    …Isn’t this dangerous?

“Don’t worry. By the time you come to your senses, the world will already have ended.”

“How long are you planning to brainwash me?”

    Lena chuckled with amusement.

“Have you tried that language ability too?”

Lena shook her head slightly. Her long hair swayed gently.

“I can tell by feeling. This level is still far from enough. If I become stronger, it will certainly be possible.”

Lena closed her eyes. She seemed to be imagining a reunion with Yoo Cha-mi and Elli.

“Still… it’s really not far off. As you and Lu-a would say in numbers, I’d need to increase by about 5 to 7 more. In terms of time, perhaps 6 months to a year.”

Lena was momentarily lost in thought.

    “Thank you, Ui-seok.”

Lena turned to look at me while hugging her knees.

“Huhu, to think I’d be thanking someone. Being with you and Lu-a really does make me strange. If it weren’t for you, I would never have been able to call Elli. I couldn’t show her that body, after all.”

“I didn’t intend to go that far.”

“There might be an ant that survived by licking someone’s spit. The world is always unfair because there are more humans than trash.”

    “Yeah. I’ve felt that painfully.”

“If you understand, let’s be quiet now. I want to finish reading this today.”

With that, Lena began to focus on the text again.

She really was a woman who only said what she wanted to say.

After sitting for quite a while, I felt sufficiently lazy and wanted to move my body.

I played beach volleyball with the three who had come out of the water. Since a regular volleyball wouldn’t hold up, we used a bowling ball that Lena had softened with her language ability.

I teamed up with Boksil, but as expected, Boksil barely understood the rules. However, her mobility was good.

I had momentarily forgotten that Somi was just as competitive as Lu-a, so the result was our complete defeat.

At least Boksil quickly forgot the humiliation of defeat and became happy when given a truckload of bananas as a snack.

After playing for a long time, resting, playing again, and taking a light shower, I prepared meat on the room terrace.

I’m in charge of the BBQ. It’s in my nature that I can’t stand watching someone else ruin good meat.

Somi did the prep work, and the other three excellently prepared themselves to eat.

“Master, I love you! Boksil has come to heaven!”

“I told you not to eat it before it’s grilled!”

Lu-a was struggling to stop Boksil from tearing into the raw meat from the ice box. The box was sloshing with Boksil’s drool.

    That’s expensive meat.

“Ui-seok, please grill all the meat at once and bring it over.”

“No way. It tastes best when you eat it while grilling.”

    I completely rejected Somi’s request.

    My meat philosophy is non-negotiable.

    “Come if you’re coming.”

    “What’s that supposed to mean?”

Somi lightly pinched my side and sat at the table.

The three of them are definitely plotting something.

Whatever it is, I’ll just fight it.

In the end, I grilled a large amount of meat at once, piled it on the table, and sat down.

    “Well then, shall we begin?”

    Thud.

Along with her declaration, Somi placed a large amount of alcohol on the table.

Everything from canned beer to fancy glass bottles.

    “What’s with all the alcohol?”

Not bad. I do like drinking.

I instinctively reached for a beer. Somi swatted my hand away.

    “This one’s for you, Ui-seok.”

Saying that, Somi placed a bottle in my hand.

    “This is gin.”

    It’s 60 proof.

Lu-a, Lena, and Somi were all staring at me intently.

“What do you want me to do, play the bottle like a trumpet?”

    There was no answer.

    What’s going on?
