    Ch.9292. Evil God Conference (1)

A realm where the souls of the dead arrive, somewhere in the divine realm where gods reside.

The malicious emotions emitted by mortals who have faced death, whether consciously or not, have coalesced to form a conceptual and ideological realm of considerable size.

A realm made of slimy, sticky, unpleasant, and disgusting primal emotions.

Upon discovering this realm by chance, the Evil God of Conspiracy had some idea and devised a conspiracy of a different dimension than what he usually planned as the God of Conspiracy.

His thoughts had reached such a level that even within his own mind, he could plot conspiracies without other thoughts noticing. Yet, for this particular conspiracy, all his thoughts united in agreement.

From the moment he discovered the realm, he felt a fateful intuition that this was meant to be. The Conspiracy God decided to use this space as a forward base for a group that would collapse the Pantheon, setting in motion his grand plan.

Simultaneously, the Evil God of Conspiracy sought to form a coalition of evil gods opposing the Pantheon to utilize this forward base.

He named it the “Evil Gods’ Council.”

It was only natural for the Evil God of Conspiracy to devise such a plan, as the power he would gain from his divine status would dramatically increase if he could create the ultimate space where hundreds of evil gods gathered to discuss conspiracies.

    But it wasn’t enough.

Even if he gathered evil gods, it was obvious these lunatics wouldn’t unite, and the possibility of the council itself not being established was extremely high.

Therefore, the Evil God of Conspiracy determined that for the Evil Gods’ Council to become a meaningful coalition, it needed suitable participants. He decided to designate the seven most powerful evil gods, including himself, as the Seven Great Evil Gods, but…

Separately from this, there was one god he needed to recruit first.

An evil god notorious for openly declaring war against one of the Pantheon’s 12 main gods and completely devastating his city.

The most recognized name among existing evil gods was Marduk.

The Evil God of Vengeance, also known as the “Bloodstained God” or “The Unforgiving One.”

A god who would become the most troublesome if antagonized.

The Evil God of Conspiracy normally wouldn’t want to get involved with him at all, but… in the current situation, he absolutely needed to recruit him to fulfill his conspiracy.

But… would that really be possible?

The Evil God of Vengeance’s reputation was so terrible that even he questioned it, but regardless of that reputation and his personal preferences, it was something he had to do. After brief deliberation, the Evil God of Conspiracy decided to approach him personally.

Disguised as his own lesser servant and messenger, the “Evil Blue Bird,” the Evil God of Conspiracy used his powers to arrive at the divine realm and politely knocked.

He assumed the one who would meet him would naturally be a minion of the Evil God of Vengeance, and he thought he could easily recruit such a minion with his eloquent words.

However, the Evil God of Conspiracy didn’t know.

That an unprecedented situation would occur where the Evil God himself would appear directly.

Was it because he hadn’t anticipated or predicted this at all, not even slightly?

Extremely flustered, he stammered and rambled in his response, but perhaps this behavior made him appear genuinely frightened, as it didn’t arouse suspicion…

    《Very well, I shall participate.》

[T-Thank you! God, God of Vengeance!]

‘What? Why is he agreeing so readily…?!’

Contrary to his expectation that tedious negotiations or threats would follow his proposal, the Evil God of Vengeance accepted it so readily that all sorts of thoughts raced through his mind.

‘What’s going on? Did he know about this all along? Or perhaps, was he guiding me toward this from the beginning?’

The abnormal attitude of accepting without proper explanation, just hearing about the participants, made the Evil God of Conspiracy come up with all sorts of far-fetched hypotheses.

Of course, after leaving and thinking calmly, he realized there was no need to overreact since he himself collected information in various ways.

Anyway, with the Evil God of Vengeance Marduk deciding to participate in the Evil Gods’ Council, recruiting the remaining evil gods proceeded smoothly.

He gathered all Seven Great Evil Gods except for the final god who would herald the end of the Rom Empire, and was able to recruit hundreds of evil gods to serve under the Seven Great Evil Gods.

And so, the evil gods wishing to participate in the Evil Gods’ Council gathered one by one in the meeting hall personally modified by the Evil God of Conspiracy.

Pillars rising above an endless void.

Most of the pillars in this uniquely shaped meeting hall were of equal height, except for a few, and their surfaces were engraved with sculptures commemorating the deeds or tendencies of each evil god.

And atop these pillars, which contained meanings of respect for each evil god, sat numerous evil gods with bizarre and diverse appearances.

From gods who were originally divine beings and thus not much different in appearance from humans, to evil gods who ascended from mortality and thus had different appearances.

And though fewer in number, evil gods with strange appearances due to their special origins.

Though they looked different from each other, they were all far from friends—rather, as evil gods who typically antagonized each other, the atmosphere flowing between them was quite ominous… Yet they didn’t speak a word to each other, merely watching the beings on the higher pillars.

Among the hundreds of pillars, seven stood out as particularly large and thick.

On top of these pillars, which would lead the Evil Gods’ Council, sat evil gods emanating terrifying pressure, with only one seat vacant.

First, the host, the Evil God of Conspiracy, Magica.

This evil god, who appeared humanoid but concealed his form with a single robe, wore a blue silk wizard’s robe embroidered with gold thread covering his entire body. At the same time, in a manner reminiscent of the Buddhist Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara, he extended thin arms in all directions from between the loosely draped robe.

Additionally, the parts covered by the robe seemed filled with silvery, shimmering magical substance, giving an appearance that anyone would recognize as transcendent.

And on the pillar right next to it was a mass made of a substance reminiscent of coal tar or sticky mucus, so black that its shading couldn’t be discerned.

Despite an appearance that looked like a relative of slime creatures, this mass was also an evil god that evoked an unsettling feeling just by looking at it.

Specifically, it was Horus, the Evil God of Fear and another aspect of the Pantheon’s evil god Pothos.

And as if embodying the concept of the unknown itself, someone was staring intently at Horus, whose body constantly writhed in fluid motion.

A disgusting being formed by countless rats that repeatedly died and revived in horrible forms, creating a body reminiscent of a fat old man.

This god, also known as the Mosquito Lord for being surrounded by swarms of mosquitoes, was the Evil Rat God who governed plagues.

The god of bad air, disease, and plague, Marus Area.

Meanwhile, right in front of the plague god stood another of the Seven Great Evil Gods.

A skeletal figure, thin as a ghost or specter, with a contorted expression as if screaming, floating in the air wrapped in what appeared to be semi-transparent black cloth.

This being with a face so distorted it seemed like the most horrific thing in the world was the Evil God of Despair, the incarnation of those in despair and known as the most evil god in the world.

Known among his followers as the King in Black, but accurately named Panima…

Notorious for enjoying and actively encouraging the despair of mortals, this evil misery-feeder… no, the Evil God of Despair.

And right next to it was a pillar occupied by something that definitely existed but could never be detected, the Evil God of Misfortune, [ ].

Due to its contradictory nature as both a goddess of non-existence and a god of existence, it simultaneously existed and did not exist in the world, causing its name to be forgotten despite still existing.

Known as “The One Whose Name Must Not Be Called” or the Nameless King.

And in the middle of these five evil gods, on the tallest pillar, was a being emanating a presence that dominated the entire meeting hall.

A god with the appearance of a skull with a cross-shaped halo, emitting red eye light.

The Great God of Vengeance, the Bloodstained Evil God, the Agent of Vengeance, the Angry Avenger, the Red Leader, the King of Blood.

And with countless other aliases, the currently strongest evil god.

Marduk gazed around briefly before speaking.

《Then, let us begin the Evil Gods’ Council. Raise your hand if you have any objections.》

Naturally, no fool dared to challenge the strongest evil god.
