Ch.91Chapter 91. That’s the Thing (1)

“Who was it?”
The man who sent the text message.
Snyder turned his head to look at Saint Catalina School through the car window.
The school where police lines had been set up and officers were constantly coming and going.
Just then, a text notification sound rang out.
“Father……”
“Be quiet for a moment.”
“……”
Ignoring his young son’s voice from the back seat, he looked at his retinal display.
-Due to your refusal of interviews and identity disclosure, I can’t tell you because of my journalistic ethics.
-Stop wasting my time.
-I apologize, Congressman. Would $2,000 be acceptable?
Tsk.
The guy certainly has a keen nose for money.
Like a pigeon that flocks to an issue and just defecates all over it, his demanding price was quite annoying, but Snyder could spare such a trivial amount.
-Sent.
-Thank you. This is Jinsoo Kim, Congressman. Have a nice day.
“Haaah……”
Snyder took a deep breath and leaned his head back.
This was an unexpected obstacle.
He had planned to destroy her socially by exposing the ex-convict issue to coincide with his daughter’s grade acceleration, but he never dreamed she would find a way out like this.
‘So she’s threatening to reveal everything if pushed…’
It seemed her plan was to disclose that she was the one who subdued the shooter and try to rebuild her image if cornered.
But would that really be enough to completely cover up her criminal record of rape and murder of a mother and daughter?
He could immediately destroy Jinsoo Kim and Cuss’s image right now, but…
‘Perhaps I should wait a bit longer.’
He wouldn’t be able to completely destroy them.
The public is stupid.
People applaud good deeds at first but quickly forget them over time, while they remember evil deeds until his son’s son dies—that’s how the public works.
It would be right to wait until the mass shooting incident was forgotten.
Obviously, interest would quickly fade since there were no casualties.
Around the time when revealing oneself as the hero of that incident would elicit only lukewarm responses.
That’s when he would strike.
Though his plans had been somewhat disrupted, it wasn’t enough to call it a setback.
As Snyder gritted his teeth, Tom, sitting on the left side of the back seat, swallowed hard while looking at his father’s profile.
Knock knock…
Just then, someone knocked on the car window.
Turning to the sound, Snyder’s face suddenly lit up as he flung the door open.
“Jake, my son! You’re safe! Are you alright?”
“Yes, Father. I was just hiding somewhere.”
“I heard the perpetrator had a grudge against you. Thank goodness you’re safe!”
“Hahaha. I’m fine, Father, really.”
Snyder hugged Jake tightly and patted his back.
Watching through the back window, Tom could only rest his chin on his hand.
When he had arrived, his father barely turned around and only asked once if he was okay.
Until then, he had actually felt somewhat touched.
Thinking his always-busy father, whose face was rarely seen even at home, had come for him.
But that wasn’t it.
Father had come to see his brother, not him.
“Get in, Jake! Let’s go to the spa together as father and sons to calm our nerves!”
“Of course, Father. Hey, good to see you again, little brother.”
“……”
As Jake, who had gotten in beside him, ruffled his hair, Tom didn’t know how to respond.
His mother nagged him about not being as good as Cuss.
His father didn’t even care about him.
And his brother… well.
He seemed to subtly look down on him.
It was like the composure of someone who had everything.
The feeling that he was taking care of Tom out of obligation, as if bestowing charity.
‘It’s annoying…’
Sniff sniff.
He felt like the smell of cafeteria soup still hadn’t left his hair.
Today was just particularly irritating for some reason.

The culprit that had eliminated all domestic flights and railways alike—the Hyper Bullet.
A silver-haired girl wearing a straw hat stepped into the LA Station.
“Wooooow……”
Cuss exclaimed with her mouth wide open.
The ceiling was incredibly high.
And this vast plaza without a single pillar—what was this?
It was hard to believe this was the interior of a single building.
It felt like glimpsing the pinnacle of human technological prowess.
“You’ll get flies in your mouth, dummy.”
Jinsoo, who had somehow appeared beside her, took off her straw hat and flipped it behind her.
With the string hanging around her neck, the straw hat now dangled on her back.
If she was this impressed just seeing the LA Station of the Hyper Bullet,
Jinsoo wondered what her reaction would be to seeing SoFi Stadium.
“I didn’t know because I’ve only been in backward neighborhoods! Humans have developed civilization this much!”
“More accurately, America has.”
Finding Cuss’s amazed reaction amusing, Jinsoo smiled while patting her head.
Of course, this level of development was limited to America.
Even European countries considered developed were said to be more than 20 years behind America.
“World domination… I should give up…”
“What?”
It seemed like he’d just heard something incredible.
Jinsoo decided to let it slide.
If she’d given up, that was good enough.
“Let’s head to the platform. Juliane should arrive soon.”
“Hmph……”
Suddenly her mood soured.
Cuss was pulled along by Jinsoo’s hand, trudging with her lips pouting.
She deliberately made loud tapping sounds with her feet as she walked.
But Jinsoo didn’t even notice, his face showing nothing but excitement.
‘Do you like her that much?’
She wanted to snap at him.
What was so great about Juliane?
She wanted to ask what was so appealing about that human with abnormally large buttocks and breasts.
At the same time, she was afraid.
Afraid of receiving an answer she couldn’t handle.
Afraid that Jinsoo might say he liked something she didn’t have…
Too scared to ask.
“I’m hungry.”
“What? You just ate.”
“I’m still hungry.”
“You know, there’s such a thing as mealtimes. This habit of stuffing yourself whenever you feel a bit peckish…”
“I’m huuungry.”
“Ah, shit. I don’t know if I’m raising an alien or a pig…”
So she decided to enjoy this time more.
The time when Jinsoo focused solely on her.
The time when only she was by his side.
Recently, Jinsoo had been listening to pretty much everything she said.
He seemed to have become much more mellow.
Was it because she had become more human-like recently?
If so, she felt quite proud.
It meant her efforts had paid off.
“McDonald’s.”
“Don’t you ever get tired of it…?”
Spotting the familiar M logo, Cuss pointed at the store.
Would she still want to eat it after having it almost once a week?
Despite his astonishment, Jinsoo took the grinning Cuss into McDonald’s.
“Mmm… munch munch. Isn’t Jinsoo eating?”
“You eat plenty, miss.”
“Hmm……”
Wiping Cuss’s mouth with a napkin, Jinsoo just munched on some fries.
He thought there probably wasn’t anyone in the world who enjoyed hamburgers as much as Cuss did.
He smiled, remembering how his parents used to say they felt full just watching him eat.
“It should be about time she arrives.”
“……”
After staring intently at him for a moment,
Jinsoo started focusing only on his phone again.
Cuss glared at him sullenly while sucking on her straw.
She didn’t like it.
“Ugh… mmm.”
“…?”
Suddenly finding his left arm pulled away, Jinsoo looked puzzled.
Cuss was sucking on his thumb, mumbling around it.
“What now? Want to continue our fight?”
Wondering if she wanted to continue yesterday’s fight,
he prepared to bite her ear, but Cuss wasn’t biting down on his finger with any force.
“What are you trying to do?”
“Mmm nom nom.”
“……”
Cuss took Jinsoo’s large hand and slowly placed it on her cheek.
With his hand on her cheek, she gently chewed on his thumb with her molars.
The scene seemed familiar.
Even the straw hat was familiar.
The only difference from that time was that it was Cuss, not Jinsoo, who had put the finger in her mouth.
Watching Cuss roll his finger in her mouth, wrap it with her tongue, press it against the roof of her mouth, and touch her molars with it, Jinsoo felt an inexplicable sensuality.
“Crazy.”
The stares from around them no longer mattered.
He could glimpse a sexiness in Cuss that he couldn’t feel before.
Rubbing the inside of her cheek with his thumb, Jinsoo tilted his head as if entranced…
“Oh? Juliane’s here!”
“……”
He pulled his finger out with a pop and ran off.
Left alone, Cuss remained sulky for a moment before trudging after him.
She felt like interruptions always came at the perfect timing.
“Jinsoo!”
Juliane was noticeable from quite a distance.
It wasn’t common to see a woman with blonde hair carrying such large breasts.
With those huge breasts bouncing, Juliane was running straight toward them, even abandoning her carrier.
“Juliane… oof!”
“Hehehe!”
He thought she would slow down and hug him gently when she came with open arms.
But Juliane didn’t reduce her speed at all as she leaped at Jinsoo.
Jumping into his arms, she wrapped her legs around his waist.
“You’re so mean! Do you know how shocked I was when I saw the news!”
“I told you I was fine.”
“You didn’t say a word about almost getting shot!”
“I didn’t want to worry you.”
“Ugh! Really! You bad person!”
Despite her scolding, Juliane’s face looked purely happy.
Unable to contain her smile, she pressed herself even closer to Jinsoo, feeling his broad chest and scent.
However, Jinsoo had to mentally recite the national anthem to endure the sensation of soft fat masses squishing against him.
Just then, Juliane spotted Cuss behind Jinsoo’s shoulder, lowered her legs, and bent down.
“Hehehe. Cuss, did you do well while mom was away?”
“You’re not my mom.”
“Hehehe. I’m so glad you’re safe too, really.”
“Ugh……”
As Juliane hugged her tightly, Cuss felt a suffocating pressure.
Her lungs couldn’t function properly, crushed by the soft breasts.
“Even after not seeing you for a while, you’re still so cute… huh?”
Just when she thought she was finally free.
Suddenly something felt off.
Juliane was pulling at the collar area of Cuss’s clothes with a strange expression.
Then she turned around with a cold voice.
“Jinsoo. What are these numerous teeth marks and bruises on Cuss’s neck?”
“Ah.”
Jinsoo froze on the spot.
