Ch.8989. Teresia’s Renovation

    After the reflection meeting ended, while new monsters were being produced.

    I decided to recall Teresia to headquarters after a long time and upgrade her to a superior monster.

    Thanks to the overwhelming monster production ability I gained upon reaching Rank 0, I can now create superior monsters capable of disguising themselves to the point of passing human genetic tests, but…

    ‘I’m soooorry… for neglecting you.’

    […It’s fine. I’m alright.]

    The bigger reason was to compensate for leaving her unattended for so long due to how busy I’ve been recently.

    In truth, there aren’t many uses for her at this point.

    Since I can replace her with forces or switched people and use better options, Teresia’s only remaining role is her fame as a war hero.

    And to especially highlight this, I planned to provide her with a new Giant Armor—or more precisely, a Titan Armor exceeding 10 meters—as her exclusive machine, while also greatly enhancing her combat abilities.

    Bio-Weapons

    Auxiliary Calculation Brain(A), Semi-Ethereal Tentacles(A), Psychic Claws(A)

    I enhanced her psychic abilities to A-rank level and added several psychic skills to help her use these psychics.

    I also installed an auxiliary calculation brain in her previously empty chest cavity to increase her psychic power, and replaced her hunter claws with psychic claws, making her equivalent to a Rank 2 humanoid monster in close combat.

    After investing in psychic abilities, I filled the remaining capacity with traits and skills for controlling her exclusive Titan Armor, and further bio-weapons for connectivity with the Titan Armor.

    She has traits like Close Combat Expert(A), which will be useful for piloting the Titan Armor designed for close combat, and Enhanced Senses(B) and Enhanced Intuition(B), which dramatically improve reaction speed.

    Additionally, thanks to the Sensory Link Affinity(B) trait and Semi-Ethereal Tentacles(A), a semi-psychic biological organ that can be used as a psychic nervous system, I succeeded in reducing the response time difference between brain and body to less than 1/100,000 of a second.

    And as her abilities as a pilot increased, I created an exclusive Titan Armor that matched these enhanced capabilities.

    When initially designing this exclusive Titan Armor, it was planned to be an all-purpose versatile type with all parts made of nanomachines, but…

    There was an issue with machines made solely of nanomachines being weaker against impacts than I had anticipated, so I changed the plan and switched the material of the Titan Armor to biological tissue.

    While regular Titan Armors (Giant Armors) are basically made using monster bodies as frames and thus include biological tissue, the proportion rarely exceeds 20%.

    However, unlike regular Titan Armor, the biological ratio of the Titan Armor I’m creating exceeds 80%.

    Except for the outer armor, various mechanical parts where machinery is more efficient, and parts of the cockpit located in the middle of the wing bones where the pilot sits, it’s virtually all biological.

    Anyway, this knockoff Evan… no, this cyborg-like Titan Armor is structurally not much different from a monster, except that the pilot handles both control and energy supply.

    So the completed Titan Armor—the Hive Titan—was essentially not much different from a monster.

    It has a brain, heart, organs, senses, and even displays a status window—it would be classified as a living being by the world’s universal standards.

    However, one difference from other monsters is that the Hive Titan inherently lacks a soul.

    Therefore, it has no self-awareness and can only perform animalistic and instinctive movements, so a pilot must board it to substitute for the role of its soul.

    So, what is the performance level of the Hive Titan?

    Hive Titan

    Rank :: 1

    Level :: 100

    Stats

    Strength :: 5250

    Agility :: 4505

    Vitality :: 6350

    Intelligence :: 0

    Resistance :: 6500

    Energy :: 3000

    Leadership :: 0

    Traits

    Monster Gene(EX), Predator(A), Hive Mind(A), Subjugation(EX), Bio Core(A), Enhancement Psychic User(A), Psychic Conductive Skeleton(A), Psychic Resistance(A), Mechanized Organs(A), Synthetic Muscle Fibers(A), Super Strength(A), Super Regeneration(A), Soul Non-existence(A), Enhanced Muscle Fibers(B)

    Skills

    Psychic Enhancement(A), Sensory Amplification(A), Body Hardening(A), Psychic Shield(A), Psychic Healing(B), Gravity Manipulation(B), Sprint(B), Endurance(B), Charge(A), Acrobatics(B), Evasion(B)

    Bio-Weapons

    Titan Suit(A), Bio Calculation Device(A), Bio EMP(A)

    It’s classified as a Rank 1 monster, but its actual combat power is unknown due to its lack of a soul.

    However, since it’s designed to be controlled by someone else, it prioritizes physical abilities over techniques, making it somewhat ambiguous to precisely define its combat power.

    Anyway, the appearance of the Hive Titan can be simply described as a giant about 18 meters tall—about 10 times the height of a 180cm human—wearing SF-style armor.

    However, the Hive Titan is much slimmer than an average human and has longer arms, giving it mobility that would be unimaginable for its massive size.

    Despite being 10 times taller and thousands of times heavier, this mobility is possible thanks to various functions of the Titan Suit, its psychic abilities, and its excellent physical capabilities.

    Thanks to the Bio Calculation Device(A) installed in its head, which constantly uses Gravity Manipulation(B) on itself, it reduces gravity, the biggest hindrance to movement.

    The Titan Suit has boosters attached throughout to assist movement, and the boosters installed in the wing bones are particularly powerful, enabling temporary gliding.

    It boasts strong physical abilities by forgoing combat support skills like “■■ Combat Expert” or “Weapon Techniques” in favor of various action support skills and physical enhancement traits.

    Above all, the Bio Calculation Device(A) attached to the Hive Titan’s brain constantly activates various enhancement psychics to strengthen its body, giving it the highest mobility proportional to its size among all my monsters.

    And the Hive Titan doesn’t just excel in mobility.

    The Titan Armor is equipped with various armaments in spaces secured through spatial expansion psychics, allowing for flexible responses in various situations.

    It can fire ultra-high-output lasers made of psychic energy using psychic crystals mounted in the suit’s eyes, while the massive vulcan gun (minigun) on the back of its hand can pour out shells in an instant.

    The shoulder pads(?) contain multiple missile pods for launching missiles, and the waist holds psychic weapons like a giant knife or a plasma cannon modified into a pistol form, stored ready to fire at any time.

    In addition, there are hundreds of laser machine guns throughout the body for anti-air and mob clearing purposes, making its firepower at least average for a Rank 1 monster, if not extraordinary.

    Finally, the Titan Armor’s defense is also incredible, not just from the Titan Suit’s defenses but primarily from its ultra-high-output psychic shield.

    The spherical shield that partially deploys along anticipated paths not only reduces unnecessary energy consumption but also prevents the shield from restricting movement.

    Although I ended up creating it without concern for cost after getting carried away midway through, I still thought Teresia would like it and presented it to her—

    […Mother. While its power is flawless, is the technology used something that can be reproduced with human science?]

    ‘Ah.’

    Due to the overwhelmingly advanced technology used in the Titan Armor, which was too excessive to claim it was made with nano-tech, what was ultimately handed to Teresia was just a nano-tech custom Giant Armor.

    As for the Hive Titan, I decided to hide it in the basement and use it as an escape vehicle in emergencies.
