Ch.8888. The Grand Operation to Crush Violence with a Bang (5)

The War of Gods, the beginning of a war of vengeance and violence was announced by my Army of Vengeance.

    “Fire!”

    BOOM───KWAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGAGANG!!!

The War-Machines equipped with a total of 3,740 Blood Cannons that had been standing by.

The Blood Cannons mounted on them all spewed fire to attack the Divine Realm of Violence, and simultaneously, the Army of Vengeance advanced with Blood Tanks, a type of armored carriage.

Of course, such movements could be easily noticed by those in the Divine Realm of Violence, so naturally, the demons positioned in their path tried to block them.

    “B-Block them!”

    “KEEEEEEEE───!!”

The most commonly seen were Imps, called the demonic version of goblins, along with occasional Corpse Eaters resembling zombies and Hellhounds.

    “Shoot! Shoot fireballs!”

    “Kekekekeke!”

    WHOOSH!

These demons, who were serving as the not-yet-properly-formed minions of Violence, immediately stopped their own fighting to try to block the army’s advance, but….

    KWAAAAANG!!!

    SPLAT!

    “P-Please spare me……..KYAAAAAAAAAAAAK!!!”

    CRUNCH!

Their opponent was far too formidable.

Before the Blood Tanks—covered in thick metal plates and equipped with modified Blood Cannons capable of spewing shotgun-like blasts, which could push through even dense spear formations through sheer force when it came to breaking through front lines—the groups of lesser demons were simply crushed and flattened.

    “Break through! Follow me!!”

    “”””””””””WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA───!!!!”””””””””

Meanwhile, in another area, cavalry was rampaging.

The heavy cavalry, consisting of Blood Warriors mounted on armored Blood Wolves, thoroughly ravaged the clustered demons and scattered them, while the relatively lightly armed light cavalry and Hounds of Retribution hunted down the stragglers.

No matter how the demons gathered, they couldn’t withstand such an attack without proper preparation.

As a result, the area near the connected passage was gradually solidifying into the territory of Vengeance when…. at that very moment.

“They’re coming! The enemy’s main force is coming!”

Beyond, at the edge of the wasteland, the Evil God of Violence’s hastily gathered army was approaching.

The Army of Violence had a rather unique composition.

About half were rabble-slaves who had once been believers, given nothing more than a spear—cannon fodder.

They looked quite miserable, making one wonder if they had any combat experience at all, let alone combat power. To be frank, they were nothing more than meat shields, or rather, they seemed like they couldn’t even properly serve as meat shields.

Perhaps because of this, I could immediately understand why such soldiers were sent to the front lines.

    ‘……..They’re cushions.’

In short, they were meant to absorb our offensive, reduce casualties among their real troops in the rear, and simultaneously deplete our resources.

You know how in games like ■tal War, you recruit cheap tier-1 infantry to use as meat shields?

It’s convenient to think of it that way.

    ‘….I don’t like it.’

And quite naturally, I was very displeased with those meat shields.

It was partly because I was annoyed at the act of pushing those with no will to fight to the front lines, but more than that, I disliked the mental state of those meat shields from the start.

Despite such treatment—being slaves, future corpses, or worst of all, meat shields—I couldn’t sense even a hint of resentment, anger, or desire for revenge from them.

It might be considered wise not to resist when resistance means certain death, but to completely give up any resistance and move like that…

Even if their spirits were broken by extremely harsh treatment, to approach with completely lifeless eyes, passively following orders without even the slightest hint of defiance…

At first, I wanted to give them a chance to take revenge on those who had reduced them to such a state, but… I wasn’t merciful enough to give such opportunities to those who had completely given up.

“Blood Cannons, fire Blood Rain shells!”

    “”””FIRE!””””

    KWAAAAAAAAANG───!!!

Thus, following my will, the blood projectiles spewing from the Blood Cannons were aimed at those slaves.

The trajectory of those blood projectiles, fired in an arc, resembled bloody rain, true to their name “Blood Rain shells.”

    KUGUGUGUGUGUGUNG!!!

Of course, they only resembled rain in form; in reality, they were closer to anti-personnel fragmentation shells.

Fired at a high angle, they broke apart into dozens or hundreds of blood bullets upon reaching their apex, pouring down to the ground, more than enough to sweep away such lightly armored troops.

Most of the meat shields—humans, goblins, halflings, kobolds, or rat beastfolk with inherently weak physiques—were literally turned into ground meat by the blood rain pouring from the sky.

With the complete annihilation of what they had brought as meat shields, what remained were… what appeared to be their main forces.

    ‘Oh, familiar creatures.’

The most numerous were the representative lesser minions of Violence that I knew well.

    War-Beasts.

These beasts, which looked like a combination of a wolf’s head, a boar’s hide and tusks, and an ox’s lower body, had a humanoid upper body attached to an animal-like torso, similar to centaurs.

The animal-like lower body closely resembled an ox with claws, and ox horns grew from both shoulders of the ox portion.

The muscular upper body was also extremely bulky, and thanks to their centaur-like form, they were all natural cavalry.

    And that wasn’t all.

Minotaurs from a faction famous as worshippers of the God of Violence, large mid-tier monsters like ogres and trolls, along with various lesser demons filling in the gaps in the infantry line.

As a result, their physical breakthrough power was quite impressive, but… naturally, such overwhelming power came with other costs.

    “Fire!”

    KWAGAGAGAGAGANG!!!

Following the orders of a certain sorcerer commanding the War-Machine operators, the Blood Machines, Blood Tanks, Blood Shooters, and Blood Castles all spewed fire.

    “””””《Holy Judgement: Lightning》!!”””””

    “”””””《Holy Judgement: Holy》!!””””””

Additionally, the Angels of Vengeance flying through the air cast 3LV holy magic, causing pillars of light and lightning to strike down from the sky, hitting the enemy lines.

    “MUOOOOOOOOO───”

    CRACK!

    “Good, got one!”

    “UOOOOOOOOO───!!!”

    “Another one going that way!”

“Got it! Leave it to me!”

On top of this, some elite angels who had been granted freedom of action operated independently, faithfully following the principle of hit-and-run while hunting down mid-level commanders one by one, and….

    WOOONG───KWAAAAAAAAAANG!!!!

Decisively, the various ranged attacks from a total of 10 Avatars of Vengeance moving under the direction of Emil Albieu, the first Avatar of Vengeance.

For creatures whose ranged attacks consisted of merely throwing stones, these various forms of ranged attacks pouring down from distances far beyond the attack range of those muscle masses were nothing short of an unstoppable calamity.

Moreover, even if they somehow broke through the rain of ranged attacks, our infantry line was also quite luxurious.

    “Everyone, aim your spears!”

    “”””””””””””Yes!”””””””””””

No sooner had the words of Commander-in-Chief Lisa Raeldotir fallen than

thousands of Blood Warriors thrust forward their shields while aiming their spears with one hand.

    WHIIING───CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, CLICK.

Blood Machines, giant humanoid golems with spider-like golem lower bodies, taking up weapons to transition from their non-specialty artillery combat to close combat.

    KOONG, KOONG, KOONG!!

And the current greatest fighting force: 10 Avatars of Vengeance, giant beings with burning bodies carrying huge swords, high-tier minions.

Forming a phalanx-like formation, they fired magical beams from their spears, spun around swinging their arms and stomping with their legs, sweeping away enemies in a frenzy.

With a few kicks sending opponents flying, and swings of their swords incinerating hundreds of enemies at once.

They slaughtered the Violence Army that had managed to break through the barrage in a manner that could only be described as one-sided and efficient butchery.

The combination of modern knowledge and the magical and mystical powers to recreate it was this terrifying.

    《….DIE!!!》

Meanwhile, perhaps angered by the poor performance of his army, suddenly the voice of a god echoed, and a giant fist began to fall from the sky.

The embodiment of the power of violence, especially the crystallization of the most primitive physical violence, would surely wipe out the entire army if it hit directly.

But did that fool think I would just stand by and watch?

《Should adults interfere when children are fighting, Partios?》

Speaking in a voice calibrated to be heard only by him, I immediately annihilated the fist that was falling from the sky.

    《YOU, YOU, YOOOOOOU!!!》

Perhaps because I had been speaking in a particularly annoying manner while consistently showing contemptuous gestures.

True to his domain of violence, the simple-minded fool Partios became enraged and stepped forward himself—

And now, the War of Gods in the truest sense had just begun.
