<Notice Regarding the ‘Favor in Return’ Event>
<Attention to all Commanders.>
<We have confirmed that the faction low-level quest scores are currently being measured excessively high.>
<Therefore, the reward points for clearing faction quests will be adjusted.>
<Additionally, considering the supply due to these scores, the reward points for faction users clearing ‘low-level’ quests will be reduced for three days.>

“What the hell is wrong with these bastards!!!!!”
My sudden roar startled not only Jessica, who was about to start her usual work, but also all the mob NPCs scattered throughout the command center, who were now looking at me with surprised expressions.
But the attitude of the management team, who were shifting the blame for their own incompetence onto the users, was genuinely making me furious.
And I wasn’t the only one feeling this way.
Wanting to share(?) this anger, I naturally opened the gallery window, and the moment I entered…

‘The forum’s on fire.’
The gallery was ablaze with a much more intense level of outrage than the previous meltdown.
Of course, it was possible that, like last time, only some people were having a “meltdown.”
And there was also a chance that all these numerous comments and posts were just trolls stirring up trouble like before.
But after randomly clicking on a few visible posts to check…

Title: Why are they making users fix their mistakes?

This makes absolutely no sense
Do they normally make users take responsibility for their mistakes?
Shouldn’t they be compensating us instead?
Have I been misunderstanding something all along? Damn?

As I expected, most of the gallery pages were filled with posts criticizing the management team…
But separately, users who had been focusing on building up their trust levels were praising the management’s decision, unlike those criticizing them:

Title: Shouldn’t we be blocking people who didn’t raise their trust level early instead of criticizing management?

People with high trust levels either have enough financial resources to do high-level quests,
or they persevered diligently, or they’re just lucky
People complaining about low trust levels now lack wealth, skill, and effort lol
They’re basically the epitome of incompetence, so why the reverse discrimination?

‘What the hell is all this.’
There were plenty of other similar posts as well.
Seeing this utterly chaotic situation, I abandoned my plan to share my frustration.
While looking at the users making all sorts of jokes in the midst of this chaos, I fell into thought.
‘Why is it that nothing I know ever seems to match up correctly?’
At this rate, users who don’t know me will just call me a veteran player or whatever.
As I admitted last time, the reason my ranking is so incredibly high isn’t because I’m good.
It’s purely because of “luck” – I happened to pick up Marian, who was the Pirate Empress (real), during the “Pirate Raid” event.
And I got where I am by diligently petting that Marian.
To be honest, if we were to compare my current fleet situation purely on a 1-on-1 user basis,
It would be comparable to users ranked around 20,000-30,000.
So if I were to meet real veteran players, even with my pirate fleet constantly on standby to protect my base,
Unlike me, someone who has played this game for a long time and accumulated a wealth of information would appear.
They would analyze the strength of my fleet and superhumans, counter-attack accordingly,
And these old veteran players would naturally ravage my precious fleet and base.
After sitting there pondering for a while, I was finally able to reach a definite conclusion.
‘Now that I can’t survive just by clearing low-level quests, I absolutely need to focus on raising my trust level first.’
And at the same time, I continued to mutter curses at the management team.
‘These bastards, where do they get off making a normal update now of all times.’
==========
A little later.
“It’s really not easy, Commander.”
“You too? Me too.”
Starting with Jessica’s one-liner after hearing why I had shouted,
Jessica and I were putting our heads together, adding worry upon worry about issues like increasing trust levels and obtaining reward points.
But no matter how much we worried, we couldn’t find an answer to this problem.
As I mentioned earlier, the root of all these problems was that I had far too few “superhumans” and “starships.”
As for the performance of the superhumans, since they were nearly top-tier in the gacha list,
To be honest, unlike my whining earlier, there wouldn’t be much of a problem in actual combat.
The issue was that there were only 4 of these incredibly powerful superhumans.
“And that’s not the only problem, is it, Commander?”
“That’s right, except for the Overseer, all our ships are standard models…”
I nodded heavily in agreement with Jessica’s point about our “starship” pool being a mess as well.
Of course, seeing our serious expressions, among the superhumans connected via communication from outside while clearing quests,
Ignis, with a puzzled expression, questioned us.
“Commander? If it’s about that quest issue… couldn’t we just send the remaining ships to handle it even without us?”
“You mean the standard ships?”
“Yes, that’s right.”
“I’d like to do that too, but… it’s impossible, so let’s give up.”
I just shook my head at Ignis’s question.
Seeing my response, the other connected personnel,
Namely Berial and Pashtra, immediately began to question me.
“Commander, why do you say it can’t be done?”
“That’s right, Commander. If necessary, we should show that we can accomplish anything even with a fleet made of clones and drones♡”
I nodded inwardly at their realistic advice and objections.
But separately, I had to express my refusal on this matter once again.
