Ch.83Chapter 83: Eradicating the Criminal Organization (3)

With Balt’s shout, a fusion magic powerful enough to be called a natural disaster erupts.

During his time studying at the academy, Balt realized that his magic was perfectly suited for fusion spells.

Among all types of magic, elemental magic is the easiest to use for fusion.

    Elementals interact with each other.

People believe there’s a hierarchy of dominance among elemental attributes, but nature is ultimately complementary.

Water extinguishes hot fire, but fire can also melt cold ice. Using this principle, fusion magic like creating mist by combining fire and water elementals becomes possible.

Wind may be blocked by walls, but in strange terrain like ravines, the wind actually grows stronger.

This ability to be both complementary and opposing is the advantage of elemental magic.

As Balt expected, elves often combined different elemental magics in combat.

Arias had seen such displays many times, but he never realized how well Balt’s earth elementals could harmonize with water elementals.

Actually, earth elementals harmonized well with all elements.

Launching stones infused with fire creates more powerful flame magic, and the depths of earth always contain groundwater. Wind blows along the earth’s surface, and plants grow from the soil.

It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say earth embraces all attributes.

Combined with Balt’s elemental magic, his physical magic ability makes fusion spells even easier to cast.

Unlike white magic fusion spells that require sophisticated formulas and precise calculations, physical magic activates through sheer power and will, embracing all magic types—the same applies to blood magic that uses life force.

What activated was a five-layer fusion spell combining Balt’s blood magic, physical magic, white magic, elemental magic, and Arias’s elemental magic.

Though it took time to activate, its power was naturally tremendous.

Balt’s arm swelled enormously as he slightly pushed the magic forward.

Since it was a wide-area attack spell, he intended to maximize the damage.

Then a sound like the world collapsing began to echo.

    KWAGWAGWAGWAGAGA!!!

    DDDDDDDDD!

    KWAJIK! KWAJIKJIJIK!

    PPAJIK PPAJIJIK!

“HAHAHAHAHA! Try to block this if you can!! NATURAL DISASTER!!”

Since “Blood Thunder Water Stone Tornado” was too long a name, Balt simply chanted the spell’s simplified name.

    A magic meaning natural disaster.

True to its name, Balt’s magic was so powerful that even a Master-level opponent couldn’t block it without proper preparation.

Not just its power, but the ever-expanding spell was growing to an unimaginable scale.

“Block it! Block it! Block it with your lives!! You won’t survive anyway if headquarters is destroyed!!”

A man who appeared to be a mid-level manager around the 5th floor infused his command with aura, ordering his subordinates, who rushed like moths to a flame to counter Balt’s magic.

This was exactly what Balt had aimed for.

He could have instantly thrown the spell to strike the building, but these were criminals from the start.

Balt’s prediction was correct—they would treat their lower-ranking members’ lives as disposable to protect the building and property.

    “BLOCK IIIIT!”

The enemies’ screams rang out, and soon the first victim fell before Balt’s magic.

An organization member who seemed to be around 3rd floor level swung his sword with all his might.

But it was impossible to block Balt’s magic with just that.

    “ARGHHHH!!”

As death cries echoed, the Butcher organization members began to be swallowed by the tornado like falling leaves.

Bones separated from flesh, and blood splattered everywhere.

The interesting fact was that the hurricane grew even larger due to human blood.

Vampire blood magic had the characteristic of growing stronger from the blood and life force of its targets.

“W-we can’t block it!! The magic keeps getting stronger!!”

The lower-ranked members who were close to Balt’s magic had already been swept up.

The spell, which initially had a diameter of about 20 meters, had now doubled in size after absorbing organization members, reaching a point where even Balt could barely control it.

The magic was slowly but surely advancing toward the Butcher’s headquarters building, and organization members who received emergency alerts were swarming out like ants from a disturbed anthill, hundreds of them gathering.

Among them, some notably powerful ones stood out.

A hulking man who appeared to be a powerhouse above the 6th floor.

He swung a massive iron mace filled with aura and shouted:

“Useless idiots, get out of my way!!!”

He charged in boldly, but what awaited him was a crimson, intense lightning.

    PAJIJIJIJIJIK!

    “UGYAGYAGYAGYAGYAK!!”

The Blood Thunder, strengthened by human lives, electrocuted the large man, instantly reducing him to a puddle of blood.

    “We can’t block it!! Run!!”

Someone shouted, but the one who yelled had his throat cut by a mid-level manager, losing his life.

The Butcher’s headquarters had fallen into chaos from a single spell.

If Kwan had seen this scene, he might have laughed heartily and named Balt his successor.

    Aura is powerful.

But it lacks the impact of magic.

While it’s not true that magic always surpasses 9th grade aura, the visual terror that magic instills is on a different level from aura.

Balt and Arias continued watching the scene.

Arias tried to turn away from the horrific sight, but being of proud elven blood, he faced it directly.

    “My goodness…”

“They’re criminals who commit all sorts of atrocities and eat humans. I heard they’ve even eaten elves before.”

    Twitch.

    Though kind-hearted, Arias had a hot-blooded tendency.

Especially when it came to those who harmed his kind or the weak.

    “So steel yourself.”

    “I will!”

    KWAJIK.

    KWAJIJIJIK-

    KWAGWANG!

    KWANG!

    KURURURUNG-

Finally, Balt’s magic, after grinding through organization members, directly hit the Butcher’s headquarters building, and the massive structure collapsed without resistance.

However, being a large building, it also consumed Balt’s magic upon impact, leaving the surroundings completely devastated beyond recognition.

    A single attack.

An incredible achievement from Balt’s single spell that lasted for dozens of seconds.

The Butcher organization members lay dead everywhere. Most were charred black by lightning, turned to charcoal, or missing body parts from stone impacts—a gruesome scene.

    Yet many still survived.

Balt confirmed kills by throwing what he called “stone bullets” at the Butcher’s remaining members.

    PUEOK-

    “KWEAEK!”

Hundreds of organization members were eliminated in an instant, and it seemed the Butcher organization had met its end.

    But Balt’s words suggested otherwise.

    “Now, the real game begins.”

The ruins of the destroyed building stirred.

    KURURUNG-

    Eventually, a massive figure rose.

The leader of the Butcher organization, the Slaughterer, appeared—visibly larger than Balt and reputed to possess strength surpassing a barbarian’s.

Meeting Balt’s eyes from a distance, the Slaughterer, with bloodshot eyes, shouted:

    “YOU DID THIS?!!!”

    TUHWAAAAAK!

Though considered the weakest among the five organization leaders, he was still an 8th floor Aura Master.

When the Slaughterer shouted with aura, the atmosphere vibrated and the air trembled.

But Balt didn’t budge at all.

‘Hmm, he’s the lowest level 8th floor powerhouse I’ve seen. Good thing he came at me head-on.’

The desire to face strong opponents was like a barbarian’s instinct.

While decimating the Butcher organization, Balt had wanted to face their leader, the Slaughterer, and his wish was granted.

He would have preferred to fight at full strength, but that was asking too much.

Balt stepped forward with a grin.

“Yes, I did it. I’ve decided vermin like you no longer deserve to live, so quietly offer your neck.”

Meanwhile, Balt sent an elemental communication to Arias.

[Arias, hide and stand by. If his subordinates appear, just keep them in check.]

[But I should fight alongside you…!]

    [Please.]

Arias immediately made himself transparent and vanished into the darkness, while the Slaughterer, upon hearing Balt’s words, charged at him with massive axes in both hands.

    “DIE!!”

Perhaps injured from Balt’s magic, his momentum was tremendous but his attack lacked precision.

Balt casually deflected the axe strike, which had only mid-7th floor power, with the rupenium bracelet on his arm.

    KWANG!

The collision created a shockwave that sent nearby corpses rolling.

Having effortlessly blocked the attack, Balt grinned, showing his white teeth.

“Haven’t eaten properly? Is this all you’ve got?”

    Then Balt’s arm swung.

    HWUNG!

    PUEONG!

    “KUUUUAAK!!”

    Jurururuk.

After being pushed back considerably by Balt’s attack, the Slaughterer finally looked at Balt calmly and asked:

“How did a mere 5th circle mage block my attack? Who the hell are you?!”

As if wondering whether he had gambled his leadership position away, the Slaughterer suddenly looked around, assessing the situation.

“You should have known this would happen when you messed with strange things.”

    Flinch!

    The Slaughterer looked quite surprised.

Seeing that expression, Balt was certain.

‘He knows something. I shouldn’t kill him.’

The quickest way to gather additional information is always to ask the enemy’s leader directly.
