Ch.8282. SSS+ Rank Healer
by fnovelpia
# Abilities
0. Dimensional Movement: SSS+
1. Melee Weapons: SSS+
2. Holy Magic: SSS+
3. Farming: F
4. Butchery: F
The conclusion was obvious.
If “Chaos Energy” continues to appear in the future, and knowing that holy power is its weakness, not improving abilities related to “Holy Power” would be nothing short of dereliction of duty. If I were to die in a Level 2 or Level 3 biome like the previous owner, I wouldn’t even have the right to feel wronged.
Of course, a part of me—being human after all—couldn’t help but entertain a touch of romanticism. Honestly, with my skills, I had calculated that I could have chosen a Summoning or Magic ability at SSS+ level while only securing an S rank in Mana. If they gave an SSS+ selection option for the first main quest, it implied that similar options might appear again later.
If this were a Farming World, I would have done that. If the secret farming map from Farming World had been a real game, I might have chosen an SSS+ Summoning ability from the start, ignoring melee weapons entirely, and happily enjoyed a hardcore summoning gameplay experience. To hell with difficulty levels—I would have lived on the edge, watching out for goblins (let alone Black Monkeys), somehow surviving while dedicating my life to raising summons one by one.
Die and respawn, use up all farms and reset the server. If I could just hold on through the early stages by clinging to a single thread, the summons I raised, invested in, and built up would eventually pay off.
But this isn’t a game. In reality, even making the safest and surest choices doesn’t make SSS+ difficulty any easier, as I learned when facing the Corrupted Ogre.
The difficulty in Level 0 biome was supposed to be without risk or threat. My stats and abilities were overwhelming—I shouldn’t have even needed to say “This isn’t working.” Yet I almost failed to defeat the Corrupted Ogre. I spent over 20 billion in real currency.
My choice proved more correct than my romanticism, and the same applies now.
“Evolve into an SSS+ Healer!”
“…What are you talking about, oppa? Are you sick?”
As I suddenly spun around performing my little show, Kim Sujeong looked at me strangely while organizing the small miscellaneous items in the box. I must have looked out of my mind, grinning to myself about something good.
Ignoring her words, I checked my status window.
# Stats: Strength (S+) Stamina (S+) Agility (SS-) Mana (C-) Holy Power (S+)
Corrupted Ring: All stats +1 grade
Gray Wolf Leather Armor Set: Agility +1 grade
Glass Stone Ring: Mana +1 grade
[Holy Power has been added.]
The newly added Holy Power was adjusted to a base S grade, just like before, and with the Corrupted Ring effect, it became S+ grade.
Holy Power, like mana, used an energy called “Holy.”
– Holy: 20
Unlike mana, which was 110 at C- grade, Holy was only 20 despite being S+ grade.
Well, the calculation method is different, and the Holy consumed when using skills is different too.
Although I learned this ability because of Chaos Energy, that doesn’t mean its performance is inferior. Of course, Holy Power for countering Chaos Energy was my first priority in choosing, but having an immediately useful ability like melee weapons was an important secondary consideration.
Holy Magic.
No need to overthink it—just consider it a healer class.
In the Farming World universe, magic is broadly divided into regular magic, holy magic, and black magic. Regular magic is elemental magic. Holy magic is the recovery-type magic used in temples, and black magic encompasses summoning magic used by necromancers or curse-type magic.
If you choose black magic, there’s no new stat like Holy Power—you just use Mana.
Like with melee weapons, learning the Holy Magic ability came with a free skill.
[Divine Bestowal]
– Grade: SSS+
– Passive Skill (Holy Magic)
– Bestows Holy Power according to your Holy Power grade. (Current: S+)
– Holy Magic effects increased by 100%.
– The goddess’s blessing significantly increases luck.
The skill description is somewhat vague.
Bestowing Holy Power.
Doubling the effect of Holy Magic.
The “significant” luck increase isn’t specifically explained, which seems unlike Farming World, but that’s fine.
“This is good!”
It was exactly the skill I wanted.
The decisive reason I chose Holy Magic was to secure free damage against Chaos Energy, and with this passive skill, I can bestow Holy Power on weapons anytime.
Woong-
“Wow!”
“Gasp. Master. Is that Holy Power?”
A brilliant white light shines through the dark, sewer-colored gloom.
The light, rising and evaporating into the sky like an aura, looks like an enhancement effect from a game.
It’s not just a visual effect—it’s actually covered in Holy Power.
And this Holy Power isn’t just effective against Chaos Energy.
[Holy Power (S+) effect: Final damage +10%]
Holy Power has various effects, but basically, when applied to a weapon, it increases final damage by 10% at the pure S+ grade level.
Since this is passive, I just need to bestow Holy Power to get 10% stronger.
Considering it’s an SSS+ grade skill, you might think “only 10%?” but for a side dish when something else is the main course, it tastes pretty good.
Plus, I’ve already tasted the legendary box today.
Having realized how important luck is, the significant luck increase is the best dopamine news I could get.
From now on, whenever good rewards appear, this skill will come to mind first.
And I’ll have expectations.
The Holy Magic effect +100% goes without saying.
Although limited to Holy Magic, it’s like having melee weapon skills doubled in power.
“What? Oppa, did you really become a healer too?”
To the two curious people, I showed my Farming window.
“Huh? What? What’s this SSS+ Holy Magic?”
“You’ve learned a second ability! Congratulations!”
“Wait, oppa. You can learn abilities too? Isn’t that totally broken?”
“It is broken. This whole dimension is broken.”
Their surprised reactions are quite satisfying.
Having learned the ability, I took a look at Holy Magic.
Like melee weapons, there were a few skills I could learn for 10 points.
[Holy Magic (SSS+)]
[Active] – [Healing (SSS+)]
– [Purification (SSS+)]
These were the two skills available for 10 points.
I was just going to check them out and learn one if it seemed useful, otherwise just use Divine Bestowal, but seeing the skill names confirmed once again that my self-coined phrase “SSS+ grade abilities come with service” wasn’t wrong.
The names are classic, aren’t they?
Healing and Purification.
The flowers of Holy Magic.
The fundamentals.
[Healing]
– Grade: SSS+
– Active Skill (Holy Magic)
– Holy Consumption: 5
– Heals (Current: S+, 10 people (+10 people)) according to Holy Power grade.
– Recovers 45% (+45%) of life force.
[Purification]
– Grade: SSS+
– Active Skill (Holy Magic)
– Holy Consumption: 5
– Purifies Chaos Energy from (Current: S+, 3 people (+3 people)) according to Holy Power grade.
– Cures all diseases.
“Wow!”
Beautiful.
Can skills be this beautiful?
I had forgotten while using melee weapons, but magic is the flower of skills.
Brilliant, beautiful, and charming flowers of various colors.
The diverse magical abilities each have their distinct charm and taste according to their effects.
The taste of Holy Magic, my first experience in real life, was warmth.
Just looking at it feels cozy and warm.
Intermediate healing potion? Advanced healing potion? One Healing spell devours them, recovering 90% of life force.
Of course, there’s the drawback that even with S+ Holy Power, I can only use it four times before running out.
Moreover, Holy regenerates at 10% per minute, not 20% like mana, so it takes 3 minutes to use Healing once.
Nevertheless, this broken skill that recovers 90% of life force every 3 minutes makes my heart feel at ease.
I absolutely won’t die.
In the past, I would have said this after seeing this skill.
But what is this subtle uneasiness?
Maybe it’s because I’ve defeated the Corrupted Ogre.
“With Corrupted Ogres around, 90% life recovery every 3 minutes seems pretty reasonable.”
Mmm. Indeed.
