Ch.8080. The Day of the Final Battle

There was no need to ask what she was trying to do… Her flushed cheeks and nervous eyes looking at me were saying it all.

As I met Hwa Nabi’s strangely seductive gaze, I almost found myself nodding without thinking.

To be honest, I want to do that too. But… we shouldn’t. We’re still minors, and we don’t have the ability to take responsibility for each other.

This is completely different from having family wealth. There are many problems in this world that can’t be solved with money alone.

I summoned superhuman patience to hold back, then finally opened my mouth.

    “That’s… not possible.”

    “…Why not?”

Disappointment immediately settled on Hwa Nabi’s face. Then she pleaded with eyes full of hurt and resentment. Feeling like I might cross the line if I let my guard down, I gulped nervously.

Ah… it’s kind of funny that I have to say this after passionately kissing her, while we’re even on the same bed.

Needless to say, I’m a man too. It would be an absolute lie to claim I don’t want to do various things with my fiancée who’s looking at me with such loving eyes.

But… what can I do? That’s that, and this is this. Though I’ve never expressed it directly, Hwa Nabi is the most precious person to me. That’s why I don’t want to hold her just for a moment’s desire.

However, I’m not sure how to convey these feelings. It’s a bit embarrassing to say it directly, but if I beat around the bush, the meaning might get lost.

While I was choosing my words, Hwa Nabi’s finger traced my collarbone. She was urging me to answer quickly.

I brought my hand to her bangs. Just as I had done earlier, she gently closed her eyes and enjoyed my touch. After carefully arranging her bangs, I slowly spoke.

    “We’re still… too young.”

    “…I’m not a child.”

After saying that, Hwa Nabi reached for the front of her bathrobe. She started to pull it forward as if to loosen it and show her bare skin….

I gently grabbed her wrist to stop her, then carefully reasoned with her.

“You know that’s not the issue, right?”

    “…Then what is the problem?”

    “Well, there are various issues….”

Mere skinship might be one thing, but going beyond that would inevitably bring numerous problems.

People who don’t know our detailed circumstances might think we’re moving too fast… but we have a complicated relationship entangled between wealthy families. It’s very different from ordinary couples who become strangers after breaking up.

So it’s right to treat each other more specially, more seriously. Imagine if we acted on momentary desire and something went wrong. It would cause a huge scandal, wouldn’t it?

“Wealthy third-generation heirs are dating” and “Wealthy third-generation heirs caused an incident” are completely different stories.

How could I summarize this complex and long explanation so Hwa Nabi would understand? While I was pondering and trailing off, her expression gradually became strange.

    It was a suspicious look.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

She didn’t answer my question, just stared at me intently. I waited patiently without pressing her.

    “Um, Siwoo.”

    “Yes, what is it?”

“I’m just asking this out of curiosity.”

Hwa Nabi took a deep breath, then asked me in an unusually serious voice.

“Could it be that you can’t get it up?”

    “…What did you say?”

Did I hear that correctly? I asked back, momentarily dumbfounded. Her suspicion seemed to be turning into certainty. Her gaze quickly went down to my lower body and then darted back up.

She carefully held my cheeks and said:

“You said there are various issues, so shouldn’t you go to the hospital right away?”

    “……”

I try to be serious for once and she treats me like I’m impotent? For a moment, I felt the urge to just pounce on her. But I restrained myself once more.

I removed her hands from my cheeks. After deliberately suppressing my rising masculinity, I calmly told her:

“It’s not like that. I’m perfectly fine.”

    “Then why can’t we?”

“I told you, there are various issues. Our families are connected.”

“…What era do you think this is? Does this have to involve family matters?”

“Do you even know what year ‘ssangpal-nyeondo’ refers to when you say that?”

    “Isn’t it 1988?”

    “No, it’s 1955.”

After lightly correcting her, I poked her neat bangs and slightly exposed forehead. Hwa Nabi’s face immediately turned pouty.

Finding it cute, I gently pulled her closer and kissed her forehead.

“You think that’s going to make me forgive you?”

Hwa Nabi rubbed her forehead where my lips had touched. Though her words were sharp, her cheeks had softened. Despite her outward sulkiness, she seemed pleased inside.

I subtly embraced her. To convey that I couldn’t go further, I gently stroked her back. She sighed deeply, then hugged me back.

“I had my suspicions, but I can’t believe it actually turned out this way…”

I had nothing to say to that. It was my fault for acting like I would go all the way and then backing out.

It wasn’t quite an apology, but I held Hwa Nabi tighter. And I buried my face in her soft nape.

    “I’m sorry.”

“…This isn’t something that can be resolved with an apology, you know?”

I knew that, but apologizing was all I could do.

Hwa Nabi slowly stroked my back as if handling a baby, then suddenly spoke up.

“Then, when will it be possible?”

    “…”

An unexpected direct question came flying. I should have answered immediately… but I couldn’t. That was because I hadn’t specifically thought about when it might be possible. It was a natural result.

In the brief silence, three seconds that felt like three years passed.

After those three contemplative seconds, I casually fabricated a nonchalant voice and answered.

    “When you get into university?”

    “…What did you say?”

I thought that at least by then we could hold our heads high. That was my reasoning, but suddenly Hwa Nabi grabbed my shoulders in alarm and met my gaze.

    “What? When did you say?”

Twin flames lit up in Hwa Nabi’s eyes. She glared at me as if ready to demand an explanation.

Or was she already demanding one?

“Um… when you get into university?”

“Wait a minute, if it’s after getting into university… that means at least two and a half years from now, right?”

    “Hmm, I guess around then?”

Honestly, even that felt insufficient, but it was my own compromise. However, Hwa Nabi, not knowing this, widened her eyes.

Judging by her reaction, she probably couldn’t accept it.

…If I had said after getting a job, she would have completely lost it, wouldn’t she?

“T-two and a half years from now…? Siwoo, are you serious?”

Hwa Nabi’s eyes silently asked, “You’re not serious, right? You’re joking, right?” But I could only avoid her gaze. Then her voice tone rose considerably.

“No, this man really…! You’re telling me to wait almost three years? It’s not like I’m waiting for a boyfriend in the military!”

“…These days military service is only a year and a half.”

“That’s not the important part right now!”

Hwa Nabi abruptly sat up. Her cheeks were flushing red and blue. Her face had turned completely red, suggesting her body was heated up in an entirely different way from before.

“Siwoo, I can still forgive you if you say it was a joke. Don’t you want to take it back?”

“As I’ve said before, returns are not accepted. Customer…”

I couldn’t finish saying “sir” because suddenly the highly excited Hwa Nabi climbed on top of me.

The tightly fastened belt of her bathrobe had loosened. As a result, the robe was precariously draped, but such minor details didn’t seem to concern the current Hwa Nabi.

    “You, idiot!”

Her speech pattern changes when she’s excited. While I was thinking that, she angrily bounced up and down in place.

Given our position, the impact was directly transmitted to my abdomen, but since she was inherently light, it wasn’t something to worry about much.

However, Hwa Nabi didn’t seem pleased with that. Seeing my unfazed face, she changed tactics and pressed her body against my upper body. Since physical attacks didn’t work, she was trying mental attacks.

    “…What are you doing?”

“Two and a half years, two and a half years…”

It must have been quite shocking as she kept repeating the same words in my ear.

…Just how much were you expecting? Anything I say now would only be adding fuel to the fire. Giving up on resistance, I embraced Hwa Nabi’s back.

    “Siwoo.”

    “Yes.”

    “Do you like me?”

    “…Of course I like you.”

If I didn’t like her, I wouldn’t have the desire to treat her preciously.

“How much do you like me?”

    “Probably more than you think.”

“How do you know how much I’m thinking?”

    “Well…”

I deliberately trailed off, taking my time. I intended to answer leisurely after building suspense, but Hwa Nabi couldn’t wait and buried her face in my neck.

Following that was a hot sensation, and I instinctively knew. She was leaving her mark on me.

After a moment, the trace where Hwa Nabi had lingered was imprinted on my neck. She looked at the flower mark she had left with satisfied eyes.

    “I like you this much.”

    “…I see.”

I understood Hwa Nabi’s way of expressing affection.

Now, it was my turn to return the affection I had received.

I raised my upper body and carefully held her chin. Normally she would have averted her gaze out of embarrassment, but instead, she boldly looked back at me.

    “What are you doing?”

“Weren’t you curious about how much I like you?”

    “…It’s only that much anyway.”

“What do you mean by ‘that much’?”

“Your feelings for me are… just enough for a kiss, right?”

Hwa Nabi seems to be misunderstanding something… I’m definitely not a person without desires. If anything, I’m closer to being quite greedy, but I’m just suppressing it with what little self-control I have.

    “Do you really think so?”

    “…Isn’t it true?”

…But it seems it will take quite some time to imprint this fact on Hwa Nabi. I pressed my lips against hers.

    “Mmm…”

In an instant, our breaths mingled, and naturally, our breathing became rough. She had already wrapped her arms around my neck. I separated our joined lips and murmured.

“Do you understand a little better now?”

“…More, explain it to me in more detail.”

    “…Alright.”

…And so, we spent a long time together.
