Ch.7878. Collision Between Choi Min-seo and Morgan
by fnovelpia
“Just between us, about Choi Minseo?”
Ji Se-hwa swallowed hard.
“You saw them talking, right? The plan to kill Ui-seok—Choi Minseo was behind it.”
“Yeah. That bitch, acting all innocent while stirring up trouble behind our backs? I’m partly to blame for falling for it… but I want to rip her spine out so badly! However.”
“If even Dorado, who called Epsilon a failure, approves of her, she must have become a high-ranking monster of considerable power.”
“How is it even possible to turn humans into monsters in the first place? Their genes are completely different. Epsilon had four arms. Monsters have tough skin and fur, and their abilities are on a completely different level from ours.”
“There were occasionally monsters who resembled humans. Like Morgan.”
“She was a piece of shit. I should have tea-bagged her corpse. She probably died along with the Dark Kingdom’s ship, right?”
“I suppose so. Come to think of it…”
“What?”
Kang Yerin suddenly remembered something she had momentarily forgotten in all the chaos.
“I was so distracted by Eridanus that I forgot—there was another executive who attacked that day. Someone named Ursula.”
“Ah, right. I remember Ui-seok oppa fighting her. We can’t even check what she looks like now. The Association building belongs to Vengeance now…”
Ji Se-hwa’s shoulders slumped.
“Could she be a hidden talent or a new executive? We never saw her in any of our past loops.”
“That’s true.”
“It’s strange. I… I heard information about Galaxy Empire’s executives from Gerogius… I mean, from Ui-seok in the past.”
“Oh, really? Who’s there?”
“At this point in time, Dorado should be the last executive. The name Ursula never once came from Ui-seok’s lips.”
“Then could she also be…?”
“Dorado might have turned her into an executive too. And the reason Dorado is doing this here might be related to Gerogius.”
“So now the executives are Dorado, Ursula, and Choi Minseo.”
“Yes. That’s two more than before.”
“…This won’t be easy. Did they increase the number of executives because Ui-seok oppa became too strong and they’re being cautious?”
“Dorado also mentioned that the technology to transform humans into monsters came from the Dark Kingdom.”
“Then maybe…”
“…It might be our fault. Because Ui-seok became Gerogius, some follow-up measures weren’t taken, and the technology leaked out.”
“…Fuck.”
Ji Se-hwa’s face contorted. After taking a deep breath, she steeled her resolve.
“Let’s take responsibility. Let’s deal with both Choi Minseo and Ursula ourselves.”
“I have a way.”
Kang Yerin pulled out a Switch.
It was Milky Way’s Switch that she had acquired from Eridanus.
“Like the one at Pegasus’s Supernova, the executives’ Switches have a return function. I think we can use this to infiltrate the Galaxy Empire’s ship.”
“Good. I’m ready.”
Kang Yerin stared at the fired-up Ji Se-hwa with cold eyes.
“Ready to die?”
“Huh? No…”
“Se-hwa, don’t misunderstand.”
Kang Yerin’s icy voice pierced Ji Se-hwa’s ear like a needle.
“I’m not suggesting we fight Choi Minseo and Ursula and try our best. I’m setting a clear goal: to kill them.”
“What do you mean…?”
“Nobody gives you credit without results. Are you seriously suggesting that the two of us, without any preparation, storm the Galaxy Empire’s headquarters and take the heads of two executives? That’s not realistic.”
“Well, that’s true, but…”
“The Nameless level notifications have disappeared, so we can’t even compare our strength. Our ability levels have increased, but our bodies can’t keep up.”
“Do you have a plan?”
“We need to use everything at our disposal.”
Kang Yerin answered with an unwavering face.
“The final battle with Emperor Recter is in three weeks. Considering Gerogius’s personality, he won’t make a move at that time. He’ll probably take action no later than two weeks from now. We’ll move during that chaos. Let’s prepare until then.”
“What kind of preparation?”
“Everything. Dillitter, Pad, drugs, prosthetics. Everything we need to kill Choi Minseo.”
“…Alright.”
Seeing Kang Yerin’s hardened eyes, Ji Se-hwa felt a fire ignite in her own chest. She smiled, baring her teeth for the first time in a while.
She asked Kang Yerin:
“Yerin, what changed your mind? Did you realize something when you pierced Eridanus’s heart, surpassing your limits?”
Kang Yerin answered with a slight curl of her lips.
“I did realize something.”
“What?”
“That I am truly a hero.”
“What’s a hero?”
“Someone who protects.”
“What do you protect?”
“Myself.”
“How will you protect yourself?”
Kang Yerin briefly looked at Milky Way’s Switch before putting it away and gently hugging herself.
“…By being acknowledged, by being loved.”
A strange ecstasy subtly appeared on her face.

“Your Majesty’s loyal servant, Ursula, reporting.”
Emperor Recter sat alone on a high platform in the vast audience chamber.
Below him, Morgan knelt and bowed her head in respect.
“Speak, Ursula.”
“Warrior Gerogius has nearly conquered Earth. Considering his ability to grow stronger as his dominion expands, I believe he will soon reach his peak. The day of his duel with Your Majesty approaches.”
“So he has grown by feeding on my servants. What a curious being. I look forward to it!”
Recter laughed loudly, as if he didn’t miss the now-empty executive chairs. His boisterous voice echoed off the walls of the audience chamber.
“What is your assessment, Ursula?”
“I believe it will be the finest battle, one that will not disappoint Your Majesty.”
A sharp voice interrupted Ursula’s response.
“My, isn’t that statement treasonous?”
A female monster executive walked into the audience chamber. Sharp spider legs that could kill prey with just a touch wriggled on her back.
While her body was clearly that of a pure-blooded monster, a grotesque trace remained on the left side of her face that revealed her identity.
A fragment of a human face.
It was Choi Minseo.
“Don’t you know what kind of ultimate duel His Majesty desires, Warden?”
“Executioner Gemini, is it?”
Choi Minseo, now named Gemini, knelt before Recter and bowed her head.
“I am honored to be in Your Imperial Majesty’s presence.”
“Do you think your half-hearted courtesy makes your disrespect any less obvious, inferior species? This is my private audience with His Majesty. Where did you learn such manners?”
Morgan scolded Choi Minseo, who responded with a relaxed smile.
“Aren’t we both equally lacking in pedigree? You’re just a corpse that crawled up from underground.”
“The Dark Kingdom was far superior to your inferior species.”
“Didn’t they get annihilated by those inferior species?”
“You were busy hiding. It was the Red Warrior who defeated our King. What right do you have to be so smug?”
“Then why are you keeping secrets from the Emperor? About that Red Warrior?”
Morgan briefly fell silent at Choi Minseo’s provocation.
Recter, seemingly intrigued, asked Morgan:
“The secret of Red Dragon? Executioner, you said you were his comrade. What is his secret?”
“Your Majesty. I regret to inform you that he is not as noble as you believe. He is not an honorable warrior. There is nothing to hide. Gerogius is Red Dragon himself.”
“I see. Ursula, did you know this?”
Morgan answered calmly.
“Yes, Your Majesty. During our last invasion, I determined that his techniques were identical to Red Dragon’s.”
“Why didn’t you inform me immediately?”
Choi Minseo mocked Morgan.
“It’s obvious. Being of low and vile origin, she must be plotting something.”
“Plotting? Hahaha.”
Morgan let out a relaxed laugh. Choi Minseo frowned at her attitude.
“Your Majesty, I did not relay this information because it was irrelevant to you.”
“Indeed.”
Recter nodded in understanding. Choi Minseo couldn’t comprehend their exchange.
“But Your Majesty, if Gerogius has been deceiving you from the beginning, who knows what scheme might be hidden! Even the Warden…”
“That’s the limitation of inferior species, Executioner.”
Morgan glared at Choi Minseo with sharp eyes.
“The affairs of lesser beings are like garbage. Do you question why ants line up on the street? His Majesty’s supreme intellect is not meant to deduce such pathetic causalities.”
“What…”
“What His Majesty desires is a duel with a strong opponent. It is an executive’s duty to focus solely on that and assist in ensuring His Majesty enjoys the battle. Whatever Gerogius’s identity may be, I only need to determine if he is strong.”
“By what authority do you make that judgment?”
Whoosh!
Morgan released her aura.
“By the authority of being the second strongest in this empire after His Majesty. If you cannot accept that, feel free to request a sparring match. But place your life on the Goddess’s scales.”
“…Ha. There’s a bitch here too.”
Choi Minseo snorted dismissively and then bowed her head to Recter.
“I apologize for showing such an unseemly display, Your Imperial Majesty. I will strive to improve as an executive of the Galaxy Empire.”
“If the Great Sage vouches for your skills, they must be certain. I look forward to seeing them.”
Morgan and Choi Minseo left the audience chamber.
As the massive doors closed behind them, they flared their auras without looking at each other.
“Thanks to us clearing out the executives, you’ve really been sucking up, huh?”
“Us? You weak thing were just desperate to hide again. What is your purpose?”
Choi Minseo glanced sideways at Morgan, baring her teeth.
“First, I’ll kill Ji Se-hwa and Kang Yerin who’ve messed things up this far. As for Dark Matter and E.lena, I won’t just kill them. I’ll have them gang-raped and tortured by elite combat units for 500 years before tearing them apart. I’ll erase Earth. And as for Ui-seok oppa…”
Choi Minseo looked happy.
“…Heheh. That’s a secret. Don’t worry. I like Grandpa Dorado, and the Emperor is quite handsome, so I’ll be loyal to the Galaxy Empire for now. But you… hmm… you’re really a piece of shit.”
Morgan felt a slight emotion from the smiling Choi Minseo.
Though she didn’t realize it, that emotion was a subtle fear.
