Ch.77Chapter 10. My Savior Who Came to Ruin You (End)
by fnovelpia
Caesar moved closer.
Leticia’s body shrank back.
Except for combat training, arrests, interrogations, or moving cargo, she had never been this close to another person. She had no idea how to handle it. She could only helplessly hiccup as she watched the man approach with purposeful strides.
…He just walked past her.
“I’ll use this.”
Caesar took the shawl he had placed on the table and spread it out. He leaned toward Leticia. Carefully avoiding touching her body, he covered her legs. A pleasant fragrance she had never smelled before washed over her.
“You seemed uncomfortable.”
Caesar grinned and stepped back slightly. Only then did Leticia breathe again. Her hiccups stopped as if by magic.
‘He’s so kind…’
Her chest felt strange. It seemed to tighten and squirm at the same time. The tips of her breasts became sensitive against her bra, feeling itchy as they rubbed against the lining, becoming slightly firmer.
‘If he touched them, they might relax.’
Startled by her own thought, Leticia clutched the shawl. She felt certain she would have said that aloud if he had been standing just a bit closer. But once a thought surfaces, it’s not easily erased.
“Um.”
Unable to contain herself, Leticia grabbed his hand. He looked down at her. Though he was only looking at her with his eyes, she felt subdued. It was a feeling that her usual self would never have welcomed.
Yet strangely, her body kept growing hotter, and deep in her lower abdomen, a warmth was building. As if his hand could somehow cool her down, Leticia unconsciously pulled his hand closer.
“Why did you call… is something wrong?”
Caesar smiled a bit awkwardly and sat beside her. He gently covered the back of her hand with his. Leticia thought she understood the feeling of a criminal who had given up. This was the relief of being caught.
‘His hand is big… thick… and warm.’
“…Leti?”
“Yes? Sorry, I didn’t hear you. What did you say?”
“You must be tired. Well, it’s nothing major… I just need to go get more alcohol. But as you know, I might have to go to places where calls don’t connect, so I meant we might not be able to communicate regularly.”
That’s a relief. A real relief.
Feeling as if a cool breeze had entered her body, Leticia sighed. ‘So it’s not that he’s tired of me or anything like that.’ But suddenly, an anxious thought occurred to her.
“Are you going somewhere dangerous? Is it illegal or…?”
She thought it was a foolish question, but fortunately, Caesar listened to her question attentively.
“It is dangerous, but not illegal. I have to make a living somehow, right? There are too few jobs in the city, and… it’s not exactly safe here either. So, I’ll work hard to find good items and come back.”
Caesar squeezed her hand as if asking her to trust him.
‘No. That was the reason? It’s nothing. Or should I ask him to live together?’
She almost said it. Until she remembered the closet where she had hidden her military uniform and boots. He might be lenient now, thinking she was a civilian, but would he still see her after learning she was a soldier working for Römer? It was impossible to know.
‘It’s too soon.’
Leticia made a decision.
“…I understand. But it doesn’t have to be just alcohol.”
Caesar tilted his head at her words. Leticia added:
“I understand what you’re saying. You normally salvage items from dangerous places and come to the city for necessities, right?”
“Thank you. For understanding.”
“This might sound strange, but I think it’s romantic.”
Leticia smiled boldly.
“Caesar, if you need anything, please tell me. I know quite a few people in the city. It doesn’t have to be alcohol, it could be anything… generators, guns… I’ll try to get them for you. Not for free, of course, but I’ll try to get you the best price. So.”
Leticia closed her eyes and forced a bright smile.
“…Let’s see each other often. Every day might be difficult, but once a week, or if that’s too hard… once a month would be fine too.”
“Thank you so much, Leti. To care so much…”
Caesar smiled gently, but Leticia did not.
Her reason was kicking her skull from the inside, screaming, ‘Hey, you crazy woman! Once a month? ONCE A MONTH? Are you planning to wither away waiting for calls that might never come?’
– ‘Then what should I do?’
Leticia asked her reason. Her reason shouted in frustration:
– ‘Give him THAT!’
Her instinct countered in a frightened voice:
– ‘B-but THAT is really… off-limits. The very fact that the Military Police intelligence unit uses it is classified.’
– ‘Those stupid 14th Military Police guys already had their communication network hacked. Would this be any different? Just don’t hand over classified information, right?’
Come to think of it, that was true. Leticia made up her mind.
“Caesar, wait a moment. You have a computer or laptop, right?”
“Of course I do.”
Leticia stood up and turned on her computer. She boldly placed the shawl on the floor. She transferred an application installation program to a USB drive from her drawer and handed it to him.
“Install this on your mobile phone.”
“What is it?”
“It’s an application that allows you to access the Minsk communication satellite. With this, you can communicate without going through the Elza network.
The signal is a bit weak, so it’s difficult to connect underground, but it works relatively well in open areas or places with communication facilities. However, you need to update it periodically. It uses a kind of backdoor…”
Minsk’s technology is superior to both Elza and Römer. And there are many pro-Minsk soldiers in Elza. After exchanging a few “gifts” with them, one can easily obtain things like this. It’s truly a tactic of “gaining advantage using enemy resources.”
“…Is it really okay for me to accept this?”
Caesar hesitated a little. Leticia pointed to the bottle of alcohol he had brought.
“If it makes you uncomfortable, consider it payment for the alcohol. Or you can think of it as my gift.”
‘Take it quickly,’ Leticia was impatient.
This backdoor application would serve as a monkey trap. Once he tastes the convenience of smooth communication and internet access, it would be hard to go back. So this man would have to come to Leticia periodically for backdoor updates. She would never provide them wirelessly.
Moreover, with some special manipulation, “find my friend” would be possible. Though the range is wide, about 20km, she could still know roughly where he was. Conversely, Caesar could also know Leticia’s location, but that was trivial. The important thing was maintaining a connection with him.
“The world is tough, and life gets harder day by day, but it’s nice to have a friend with similar interests, isn’t it? I’m not asking for much. Just drop by when you’re tired and exhausted. We’ll have a drink together, eat delicious pie… laugh and chat, that’s all. Is even that too much to ask?”
“Friends, huh.”
Caesar accepted the USB.
“Thank you, Leti. For seeing me in a good light.”
“Me too. Let’s get closer.”
Caesar nodded shyly.
Leticia felt good. She was proud that she could do something for him. Yes, this was a good start to their relationship. Gradually getting to know each other like this, and when their bodies and hearts open up in the spring breeze, eventually…
Honk! Honk!
An emotional-sounding horn blared from outside. Caesar looked at his watch with an “oops” expression. Ten minutes had already passed.
Her good mood twisted, and Leticia felt a surge of irritation. Her body, already heated from excitement, responded sharply to the threat. It was a soldier’s response.
“…I should go.”
As Caesar turned to leave, Leticia clung to his side. She gently hugged his arm, subtly pressing her breasts against it. Caesar flinched momentarily, which was so cute that she deliberately rubbed her breasts against his arm slightly.
‘Ah, it tickles…’
Of course, she wasn’t entirely without the desire to satisfy her own needs. They walked side by side to the car after opening the front door.
The wind against her exposed thighs created a strange excitement. The liberating feeling of exposure—something she had never experienced when always dressed in military uniform.
‘So showing your body feels this comfortable and good. I’ve been missing out…’
She wanted to feel more, more. Leticia boldly stretched her legs. She didn’t care if her knit dress rode up enough to show her panties.
The warm wind seemed to wash over every corner of her body, sending shivers down her spine. It was also thrilling to know that Caesar, walking beside her, was sneaking glances at her. He seemed to be rolling his eyes around, trying to look at her legs and down her cleavage. How cute.
‘I can be a little mischievous, right?’
Leticia hugged Caesar’s arm tighter. Her left breast was completely pressed against it. Caesar hesitated but couldn’t refuse Leticia’s request: “I want to say hello to your colleague too!”
‘…This is fun. Should I go further? I’ve already shown my underwear anyway. What’s the big deal?’
Leticia rubbed her breasts against his arm and stretched her body. Her breasts bounced as if about to pop forward, and her straightened waist naturally made her buttocks wiggle. Caesar desperately looked ahead, but Leticia could see exactly where and how he was stealing glances.
‘I’m controlling this man as I please…!’
But they had already arrived at the car.
The all-black-clad driver was chewing gum vigorously.
“Hello.”
Leticia waved in greeting. The driver mechanically nodded. As a test, Leticia put her arm around Caesar’s waist. It was cute how he flinched in surprise. But then.
‘That woman?’
It was momentary, but the driver emitted a killing intent. In that instant, Leticia was certain that person was definitely a “woman.”
‘Hey, hey, why are you suddenly getting so aggressive?’
Her reason waved its hands in panic, but,
‘Let me at her. I’m going to throw that woman in a holding cell right now. Look at those eyes!’
This time her instinct growled.
‘You don’t even know if it’s a man or a woman! And how can you see her eyes through those dark sunglasses?’
Her reason desperately tried to dissuade her. Leticia cleared her throat. She looked up at Caesar with a bright smile.
“Is this someone you work with?”
“This is my friend.”
Caesar answered gently. But before Leticia could ask anything more, he added:
“A precious friend who has crossed the line of death with me. If it weren’t for this friend, I would have been dead long ago.”
At that moment, all thoughts about the driver vanished. Leticia could only see Caesar.
‘…Loyalty!’
A man who values friendship, does his job properly, and is kind to a woman in an awkward situation. Indeed, giving him the classified communication network was the right thing to do. Yes. What does it matter if his colleague is a man or a woman?
I’ll just take him away.
“That’s wonderful. Such friendship. It would have been better if you had come in for a cup of tea. Oh, Caesar?”
“Yes?”
Regardless of who was watching, Leticia lightly embraced Caesar. It was a loose hug, but close enough to rub the tips of her breasts against him slightly.
“Don’t forget you promised to whip the meringue for me, okay? You remember our promise, right?”
“Uh… yes.”
“Take care of yourself.”
She gently pressed her cheek against his. She grabbed his hand and pulled it to her thigh. As expected, he flinched at first, but then subtly caressed her flesh.
The killing intent grew stronger. It was a sensation she had felt before. Back then, a criminal had pointed a gun at the back of her head.
Leticia released Caesar. She could see the driver wrinkling her face and getting irritated.
It was certain. The person in the driver’s seat was a woman. And that woman had feelings for Caesar. It was both a woman’s intuition and an investigative officer’s sense.
But so what? What could that woman do? She could only hold the steering wheel and glare. What else could she possibly do?
Caesar got into the car. Leticia bent slightly, showing her cleavage.
“Goodbye.”
She even blew him a kiss. It was complete provocation. Even the sight of the driver grinding her teeth as she stepped on the accelerator was cute.
If the two of them were inseparable, Caesar would have no reason to act this way with Leticia. If they were truly madly in love, how could he even notice someone else?
But even with the driver present, she had literally played with Caesar. At least, that’s what she thought.
‘What do you think? From the way they’ve been looking out for each other’s lives, they’ve probably been together for quite a while, but he doesn’t seem to like you as much as you like him. Well, having a high share doesn’t mean you win. Right? It’s unfortunate, but if this goes all the way, I think I’ll win.’
Emboldened, Leticia felt fearless. Those pathetic days of wrapping herself in military uniform and constantly watching others’ reactions were over. With Caesar by her side, she would become the most attractive woman in the world.
The commander was right. It’s much better to be the master than the slave.
“…But.”
Leticia quietly watched the departing car.
“Why do I feel like I’ve seen that woman somewhere before? I definitely saw her for the first time today, but strangely, she looks familiar. Do I know her?”
But no one came to mind. Leticia returned home in a good mood. She thought it would be good to order more “dating coach” books. That way, she could prepare the perfect event for their next meeting.
* * * * *
A little later. The car came to a stop. Camilla turned off the engine and got out.
“Wow, this place is quite big.”
Camilla whistled. A sturdy-looking five-story brick building. It looked like it might have been a bank in the past. The jewelry store Cassandra had mentioned was located on the first floor and basement.
We each gathered our weapons and took the bag containing the jewels. And I felt like now might be my last chance to explain.
“Camilla. I really didn’t…”
“Didn’t I tell you we’d talk about this later?”
Camilla stood with her arms crossed, but her hand was clearly twitching. It was screaming that she was ready to draw the gun at her waist and shoot me.
“…Nothing really happened. She was the one who clung to me.”
“I know nothing happened.”
“…Really?”
I looked at her with a bit of hope, but Camilla’s expression remained rigid.
“Your pants should have been a bit tighter. I thought she’d taken our car’s transmission! How did you manage to get a woman in that state after just 10 minutes? If I’d given you 20 minutes, would she have come out fully serviced?”
“Come on, as if.”
I’m not that quick. Camilla slightly removed her hat and brushed back her flowing hair.
“That thieving cat with her big butt, I really don’t like her eyes. They’re predatory eyes. So vicious, I thought I was looking at military police. Anyway, we’ll talk later. Let’s deal with the jewels and that doctor first. By the way, I wonder if they sell accessories here too.”
Still a woman after all, I thought.
“Why, should I buy you something? A necklace? Or earrings?”
“No. I’m going to buy something for you.”
It was an unexpected statement. Come to think of it, I had only thought about selling jewels at the jewelry store, not about buying something for Camilla. But she had.
“If we’re getting matching rings, I’ll chip in.”
For a moment, something like a demonic aura flickered across Camilla’s face.
“Matching rings, my foot.”
“Oh, then what?”
“I’m going to buy a male chastity belt and put it on you.”
“Excuse me?”
Camilla opened the door and went in abruptly.
Ding-a-ling, the bell sound was cheerful.
I’m a bit worried. If even Leticia, whom I just briefly met, caused this much trouble, I didn’t want to imagine what would happen when I met Cassandra later. She was such an unpredictable woman.
…Ah, what could possibly happen?
I followed her into the jewelry store.
