Ch.7575. Confession Attack
by fnovelpia
On the way to the Student Council Hall. Alkine seems somewhat hurried.
It was because of her quick steps. Though she seemed to think she was walking at her normal pace.
It couldn’t be helped. The place she was heading to was somewhere she went daily, but her purpose today wasn’t her usual one.
She was too busy organizing her chaotic feelings to even think about how to handle her repeatedly flushing face.
Suddenly, she remembered what Celia had said when allowing them time alone.
“Ludion won’t strongly refuse whatever we do. But never mistake that for consent. Don’t cross the line, understand?”
Indeed, Ludion did seem like someone who had difficulty refusing.
If Celia had pushed just a little more, their relationship might have deepened beyond what it was now.
“Obviously, don’t pounce on him.”
“I wouldn’t do such a thing!”
“Yes, you absolutely must not. I’m holding back too, after all.”
“…What?”
During their conversation, she learned things she hadn’t particularly wanted to know. Anyway.
It could be said that the only reason the two hadn’t developed into lovers was thanks to Celia’s patience.
Thinking about this made her determined to follow Celia’s words.
Cutting in line here wouldn’t be proper conduct as student council president… no, as a human being.
Lost in these thoughts as she walked, she suddenly found herself in front of the Student Council Hall.
Though it was a place she entered daily, she suddenly felt nervous.
She took a deep breath in and out. Then carefully opened the door.
Creeeeak-
The door’s sound, which she normally wouldn’t even notice, bothered her.
She wasn’t ready yet, afraid he might speak to her first if he was inside.
Fortunately, there was no one near the entrance.
Only then did she sense someone’s presence from deep inside… in her personal workspace.
The only person who could be in there now was obviously Ludion.
‘Is he still preparing to write the report?’
Quite some time had passed before she arrived here because her conversation with Celia had taken longer than expected.
Given his personality, he wouldn’t have started without her… so what exactly was he doing in there alone?
Since she couldn’t know without checking directly, she decided to go in.
Click. The door opened and she stepped inside.
And there he was. Ludion, sitting in her chair, having finished preparing for the report.
“Oh, President. You’re here?”
…Wouldn’t he normally wait outside?
Even if not, shouldn’t he be embarrassed about being caught sitting in someone else’s seat?
She thought this but soon shook her head, acknowledging her thoughts were wrong.
Right. He had always been this kind of man.
He was doing something strange, rapidly switching objects in his hand, but when he saw her open the door, he instantly made them disappear.
He seemed to have used his newly acquired ability to put them away.
‘All his abilities are inexplicable.’
Penetrating through attacks, deflecting attacks in incomprehensible ways.
And completely erasing parts of the sounds coming from his body, which he and Celia seemed to underestimate.
Every single one was an ability beyond common sense.
It was truly amazing that he could live so normally with such abilities. In a positive sense.
Unaware of what she was thinking, Ludion just casually greeted her.
“You’re a bit late. Did you scold Celia well?”
“Just… had a bit of a conversation. By the way, what were you doing just now?”
“Oh, that? Well… a kind of training, I guess?”
It seemed he was practicing to get used to his newly acquired ability.
Well, after what happened today, he probably thought he needed to improve his proficiency.
‘…Hmm.’
Thinking about it again, she felt somewhat regretful, so she took off her outer garment and threw it at Ludion sitting in the chair.
“Ugh.”
Partly because she threw it without warning, but also because Ludion didn’t bother to react, the outer garment covered his face completely.
Just as she was about to laugh at the sight, the garment suddenly disappeared and reappeared in his right hand.
…He already seems to be using it skillfully, doesn’t he? Is there really a need for more practice?
“Why did you suddenly throw this?”
“Ahem. Because you’re brazenly sitting in my seat. Hang it properly on the chair.”
“Of course.”
He got up from his seat and neatly hung the outer garment on the chair.
Then, as if he were a butler, he gestured toward the chair with both hands, indicating for her to sit.
Since he was just imitating, there was no real formality.
His seemingly light-hearted appearance wasn’t particularly funny, but for some reason, laughter suddenly burst out.
“Pfft… hehehe…”
“President?”
“Ah, just… heh. Wait a moment.”
What a strange man. He had been from the first time she saw him.
From his abilities to his behavior. A man whose everything was incomprehensible.
He clearly showed manners, yet was oddly willful.
That’s why she initially thought of him as an eccentric.
But as the time spent with him lengthened… and after receiving his help whenever something happened, she began to see him differently.
“Heh… whew… ah, I’m fine now. I’ve calmed down.”
“Why did you suddenly laugh?”
“Never mind. Is everything ready for the report?”
“Yes, now it’s your turn, President.”
“What does that mean? Shouldn’t you, as the secretary, write the report?”
“Just this once, could you do it?”
His actions were the same, but they didn’t seem bad anymore.
Simple courtesy became humility and consideration, and his willfulness became individuality.
The difference in perception was truly frightening.
And from the moment she started feeling that way, her heart had already begun to lean toward him.
Somehow her heart started racing.
Feeling like she shouldn’t miss this moment, she put aside their previous conversation and brought up what she wanted to say.
“Ludion. Before writing the report, I have something to say.”
“What is it?”
…That expression. It’s somewhat irritating.
Because he seemed full of willingness to agree even before knowing what she wanted to say.
Surely, even if she made a difficult request here, he would grumble but find a way to help her somehow.
Of course, she wouldn’t make a difficult request.
“It might take a while, so sit beside me.”
“Beside you? It’s cramped. I’m fine standing.”
“Sit down.”
“But it’s cramped… ugh.”
She might end up saying something troublesome after all.
She grabbed his arm as he kept refusing and forced him to sit beside her.
…The contact area seems wider than expected… but that can’t be helped, right?
“Obviously, don’t pounce on him.”
She thought she heard Celia’s voice from somewhere, but it was drowned out by the sound of her pounding heart.
///
An awkward atmosphere flows.
The sudden confession attack was enough to take my soul away, and anyway, I’m very confused right now.
I really didn’t expect this situation… am I the insensitive one for not anticipating this after helping her all the time?
Of course, she didn’t directly ask me to date her or anything. She just poured out her feelings to me.
But that doesn’t reduce the pressure I feel, which is the problem.
‘Yes, I am handsome. But this shouldn’t be happening.’
No matter how good-looking the face of this ‘Ludion’ I’ve possessed is, this wasn’t right.
But the most surprising point here is that this confession was agreed upon with Celia.
What was she thinking when she agreed to this?
More than that, I wanted to get up from my seat right now.
The chair I was forcibly pulled into was very narrow.
Of course, her chair isn’t small. It’s about the size of a single-person sofa.
But that’s exactly it.
It’s spacious enough for her alone since she’s not large in build… but it’s tight for me to squeeze in.
I’m already burning up after hearing her confession, and being stuck this close is making my mind hazy.
I wonder if I could just stand up… but Alkine was leaning against one of my arms, making it difficult.
Though I try to act normal, I’m still a man. I’m very vulnerable to such beauty attacks.
‘This is driving me crazy.’
Still, whenever strange feelings arose, I endured by thinking of Celia.
Such a kind girl made efforts to maintain our current relationship out of consideration for me, so I couldn’t be the one to break it first.
…But she said this was agreed upon with Celia. Celia, what exactly are you trying to do?!
Of course, Celia never agreed to this level of contact. If she saw this scene, wouldn’t she be furious? I don’t know.
Whatever the case, getting out of this cramped seat is the priority now.
I glance at Alkine. She didn’t seem to want to get any closer, but she also didn’t seem willing to let go.
As I was wondering how to break this situation, I suddenly noticed Alkine’s outer garment that I had hung on the chair earlier.
‘This is it.’
I slipped the outer garment into my inventory, then took it out and grabbed it.
Then I pushed it right into Alkine’s face.
“Mmph?!”
The startled Alkine shifted slightly, freeing my trapped arm, and I was finally able to escape.
Alkine looked at me as I left my seat, seeming somewhat disappointed but also relieved, and muttered softly.
“Whew. I managed to hold back well…”
“What did you say?”
“…Just that I kept my promise well.”
Promise? I have no idea what she’s talking about.
Well, she probably realizes she did something embarrassing and is rambling.
I understand. I’m not exactly calm right now either.
“Should I step out for a moment?”
“No. Stay here.”
I thought about taking some personal time to cool my head, but this too was prevented.
In the end, the awkward yet lukewarm atmosphere continued to linger for quite some time, and time passed endlessly without any conversation.
The original purpose of writing the report had long been forgotten.
