    Ch.7574. Omen (3)

    # 74. Omen (3)

Unless Bael dies, humans and demons will never coexist, no matter what.

Rather, one of the two nations will perish first.

    “Do you think that’s possible?”

“It’s certainly nonsensical right now, for now.”

“Are you asking me to trust you?”

    I spoke with arrogant composure.

“I’m not forcing you, but if you stand with us, you won’t regret it at the very least.”

From the beginning, Lilith must have harbored resentment toward the Babylon Kingdom and its king and high nobles.

Considering Lilith’s childhood, this was perhaps only natural.

After contemplating for a while, Lilith carefully opened her mouth.

“Give me some time to think…”

“Of course. Please come find me when you’ve decided. I’ll be here.”

Lilith shared the same goal as us.

That’s why she would eventually take our side, just as she did in my past life.

    “Then, see you next time…”

With a serious expression, the succubus vanished like a ghost from that place after those final words.

With that, I felt safe enough to deactivate my two skills.

    ‘I didn’t know that person was Lilith…’

    It was truly fortunate.

If it had been any other Executor besides Lilith, I might as well have died right there.

The woman who had been staring blankly at me finally spoke.

“Where do you get such information from?”

Normally, I would have evaded her question.

Saying something like, ‘I’ll tell you when you become Emperor.’

But now wasn’t the time for that.

It was right to inform her of the truth and actively utilize the information I had.

“It’s not something I can talk about here… Is there somewhere we can speak privately?”

“Of course there is. Follow me.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she walked toward the women’s dormitory with a bright smile.

I asked her, not knowing why she seemed so pleased.

“Are we going to your room, noona?”

    “Um… yes.”

The way she became shy after hearing me call her “noona”…

‘It was so cute… No, wait, her room?’

I never imagined I’d be going to her room so suddenly.

    “Is this… uncomfortable for you?”

    “No… it’s fine… really.”

My heart was already starting to act up a bit, but I was still okay.

Of course, there was no guarantee I could maintain this state once we were actually in her room.

I stood nervously in front of the women’s dormitory building.

“Wait here for a moment. I need to get permission from the dorm supervisor to bring a man inside.”

After saying that, she went into the building alone.

I stood still, doing nothing, waiting for her to return.

After about five minutes, she came back outside.

    “Come in.”

I followed her into the building.

The women’s dormitory wasn’t particularly different from the men’s.

Except for the considerable number of female students in the first-floor lobby who were staring intently at us.

    “Don’t mind them.”

“Has any other man besides me ever entered the women’s dormitory?”

“Of course, though only about once every four months.”

So for these girls, this scene was a rare event that happened once every four months.

    ‘So that’s why they’re staring so blatantly…’

Their stares were so obvious that it was a bit absurd.

Feeling like a monkey in a zoo, I quickened my pace and soon reached the elevator.

She entered the elevator with me and said:

“You’re clearly not used to this kind of attention.”

    “Yeah… it’s definitely uncomfortable.”

    “Let’s get off.”

She got off at the 20th floor, and I followed her out of the elevator.

As I exited, a scene no different from the men’s dormitory awaited me.

But there was definitely one difference.

“Huh? Why are you coming out of there?”

    “Yeah, seriously.”

Aelin and Riel were staring at me intently in front of what I presumed to be her room on the 20th floor, and Riel approached us and asked:

“You couldn’t have progressed that far with your girlfriend already… Princess, what’s going on?”

    “We have something to discuss.”

“Must be something really important? Important enough to go into your room…”

I addressed Riel, who wore her characteristically sly expression, and Aelin, who was quietly observing behind her as if watching strangers.

“Senior, you should come in too. You probably need to know this as well. And you too.”

    “Us too?”

“Yeah, don’t come if you don’t want to. Honestly, it doesn’t matter if you’re there.”

While Riel didn’t know my secret, Aelin’s case was a bit different.

But it seemed Aelin wanted to hear our conversation too.

“No! I want to come too!”

    “Is that okay?”

    “I don’t mind. Actually, I’m curious. Isn’t this supposed to be a well-kept secret?”

She was right that I had been keeping it secret.

But I thought it was better to tell trustworthy people like her and Riel.

“That’s fine. Senior Riel is certainly someone we can trust.”

“What if I go around blabbing about whatever this is?”

“You wouldn’t do that, which is why you’re here now.”

Riel was one of the few truly loyal subjects who showed absolute devotion to her master and even cared about those around her.

Because of that, I trusted her words.

    “That’s true enough.”

“Then let’s go in now. It’s getting late.”

She said this as she opened her door.

She entered the room, and we followed her inside.

    ‘It’s very simple.’

It was indeed a simple room that reflected her personality.

And as if to prove that reading was her hobby, books were stacked all around the room.

It wasn’t particularly tidy, but it was still a clean room.

“Your room still smells like books.”

“What should a student’s room smell like then?”

“I meant the book smell is pleasant.”

As soon as Riel entered the room, she looked at me with quite an intimidating gaze and asked:

“How does it feel to be in your girlfriend’s room?”

    “Um… it’s nice.”

“That’s boring… Shouldn’t your heart be pounding with excitement? Sniffing around the place and all.”

    “That’s not why we’re here.”

Hearing that, she smiled and pointed to a large sofa in front of the TV, saying to us:

    “Everyone sit there.”

We sat on the sofa as she instructed, and she did the same.

Once everyone was seated, we looked at each other awkwardly, and in that quiet moment, she was the first to speak.

“I have so many questions… I don’t know where to start.”

    “I’ll just explain everything.”

They listened attentively as I continued speaking in that strange atmosphere.

“It’s a long story… To start from the beginning, I’m not from this time period.”

    “Time period?”

“Yes, I’m from about 400 years in the future.”

    Hearing this, Riel responded incredulously:

    “Is that even possible?”

“You don’t have to believe me. You can think it’s nonsense and ignore it. I’m just telling my story.”

I looked at her, who maintained an intensely serious expression and gaze, and said:

“In my past life, I was also your subordinate.”

Starting with those words, I recounted everything I had experienced until now.

    How I met her.

“We first met in a dungeon.”

    My feelings in that situation.

“That’s when I decided to stand by your side—you who saved me when I was completely useless.”

    What happened afterward.

“So I worked hard to stand by your side, striving and struggling to transform from a loser who lagged far behind to the empire’s strongest hunter. And throughout that process, you thoroughly supported me.”

And events that occurred even later, such as the war with the Babylon Kingdom.

“The weather was very bright that day too, until those guys invaded.”

    And about her as well.

“That’s how you became Emperor at the young age of 31.”

I told many stories, and each time, she showed different reactions.

Sometimes she smiled, and other times she frowned.

“And in that war where the dragon clan participated, our Empress passed away. It was truly dangerous then. Although we won the war thanks to the Empress’s sacrifice, no one could fill the void she left behind.”

When the strongest mental pillar and the world’s greatest magician departed from the world, the empire was greatly shaken.

With continuous civil wars and successive battle defeats, the empire nearly collapsed.

“But with the emergence of a new leader, the situation was reversed.”

    “A new leader?”

“Yes, the person you saw earlier became the princess.”

As I said, the person who became the Emperor of the Kainis Empire after her was none other than Lilith.

“Of course, there was tremendous resistance from the people, but we didn’t have the luxury to worry about such things.”
