Ch.73The Second Change

The sun that had illuminated the world returned to its original place.

Night had fallen.

Given the six hours that had passed, most of the vampires’ wounds had already regenerated.

I wanted to chase after the humans who had fled all the way to Busan, but the remaining vampires weren’t in the best condition.

And we were short on numbers too.

In the end, the vampires had no choice but to make their way to Seoul.

Some wanted to stay behind to monitor the changes in Uljin, but the clan leaders, including Firin, who led the vampires, opposed the idea.

The reason was that the escaped humans might return with new forces.

Since I agreed with their thinking, we didn’t leave any vampires behind in Uljin.

Hwang-gu naturally transformed into her riding form and carried me and Aurel.

The journey to Seoul was very comfortable, buried in her soft fur.

Then she transformed into a girl and held out her food bowl.

Hwang-gu nodded and smiled brightly.

She buried her face in the bowl and began crunching on the Gorgon horn.

The strength of her teeth crushing the hard horn was remarkable.

I reached out and patted Hwang-gu’s head.

After devouring the Gorgon horn, a noticeable change immediately came over Hwang-gu.

Crackle-

“Gasp…”

“Whoa…!”

Hwang-gu was startled as she looked down at her hands.

Aurel, watching from the side, also stared at Hwang-gu’s hands with a surprised expression.

Had she absorbed the Gorgon’s power? Amazingly, Hwang-gu could now control lightning.

Right now it was just static electricity, but once she got used to the power, it seemed like she’d be able to wrap her entire body in lightning.

Hwang-gu raised her hand toward her hair.

As soon as we arrived in Cheorwon, Hwang-gu immediately caught the scent of humans.

Hwang-gu started running, following the scent.

We arrived at a deep part of an unnamed mountain.

It seemed they had brought containers and formed a clan hideout on the mountainside.

Actually, it looked more like a small village than a clan hideout.

Clotheslines stretched between tall trees, and wooden platforms made from polished lumber.

Nearby, something like a wooden top caught my eye.

There were even earthenware jars, suggesting this was quite an established place.

“Sniff sniff.”

I dismounted from Hwang-gu’s back and checked the human scent.

Being a vampire, I could also detect human scents when this close.

But something was strange.

I tilted my head as I checked the smell.

Men and women have different scents.

Women’s scents are softer and lighter, while men’s are heavier.

Hwang-gu was also tilting her head as if something was odd.

The scent was light and soft. Every single one of them.

It was like a village without any men.

But that couldn’t be right. I tilted my head as I approached the container village.

What I saw was quite peculiar.

Every single human walking outside the containers was female.

From tall women with large chests to small, soft girls.

Humans of various ages were visible, but not a single man could be seen.

Aurel nodded as she looked at the human village.

I could attack right now, but I was intrigued by the existence of this village.

I lay flat on the ground with the children and observed the village’s movements.

The humans displayed a variety of expressions.

One characteristic of these humans was that they all wore ill-fitting clothes.

As if they were wearing someone else’s clothes, especially men’s clothes.

The humans were all beautiful.

At that moment, two women walking on the path made eye contact.

No choice then. I stood up with the children and attacked the human village.

The children who jumped out from the shadows joined in and began to pounce on the humans.

I tore off the door of the container where the two women had entered earlier and stepped inside.

The inside of the container was very hot, filled with some kind of sensual smell.

Every single human became my child.

I sat down one child who had the highest level and asked about this village.

“What is this place?”

The child cautiously answered while checking my reaction.

Was she unhappy about changing from a large woman to a small girl?

Her previous form was pretty too, but in my eyes, her current appearance was much more beautiful.

“I know that. What I’m curious about is why there were only women in this village.”

The girl reacted strongly as if remembering something.

She slowly began to explain.

“I don’t know the details… Just that a girl named Yuri threw some kind of card and then transformed…”

“Yuri…?”

“Ah, Yuri was a member of our village, I mean clan…”

“Where is this Yuri now?”

“I’m not sure… She hasn’t been seen since today, like she went out somewhere…”

The girl who had just run off came out of a container carrying small clothing items.

Judging by the small size of the white panties, the owner of these clothes was definitely a small girl.

I handed the clothing items, including the white panties, to Hwang-gu.

She naturally sniffed them.

Hwang-gu nodded. She seemed to recognize the scent.
