I knew what had happened because I had won the mental magic duel against the Purple Tower Master who introduced herself as Alice, but from the audience’s perspective, there was no way to tell what we were doing.

From their viewpoint, they just saw us holding hands and staring at each other, and then suddenly one person lunged forward saying “I love you.” It was only natural for them to be confused about what had happened.

Fortunately, the mages from the Purple Tower were stepping in to explain the situation, but…

The Purple Tower Master can’t use attack magic with physical form

It’s obvious if you think about it, but in battles between mages, they primarily use their own attribute magic

It’s not that they can’t use other attributes, but their talent is limited, so people usually join the Magic Tower that represents their most talented attribute

In other words, most people have magic that suits their own attribute

If they could use everything well, they’d be in the Aether Tower, not in other Magic Towers lol

Anyway, the Purple Tower Master can use other attributes too, but she’d only be at an intermediate mage level at best, and that’s nowhere near enough against the Blood Tower Master, so she was probably going to surrender right away

Until now, she didn’t know the Blood Tower Master could use mental magic, and as a Tower Master, she couldn’t possibly ask her opponent to duel with mental magic

But apparently the Blood Tower Master suggested a mental magic duel first

Most people weren’t interested in how I defeated the Purple Tower Master with a mental attack, but rather in how the Purple Tower Master and I were clinging to each other.

Mental magic is so complex that those with talent like the Purple Tower Master often don’t follow the magical system.

It’s called magic, but it’s more like a kind of psychic ability.

It’s not impossible to translate it into academic terms, but you’d need fundamental knowledge, so for the Purple Tower Master, it’s like a lifelong challenge.

The way I handle blood is similar—it’s not magic based on calculations and forming magic circles, but rather using the Blood Claw Art, an instinctive ability of True Ancestors.

It’s just that moving magical power is the same as in magic, and since I manipulate blood through it, to most people, the Blood Magic and Blood Claw Art I use look identical.

As the level of Blood Magic advances, they might realize that I’m using something different, but by then, I’ll have long since retired as the Blood Tower Master, so it doesn’t really matter.

And regardless, Blood Magic was ultimately created to imitate the Blood Claw Art, so what can you do?

Surprisingly, the overall sentiment on the Aether Tower forum wasn’t bad.

The Red Tower Master and Black Tower Master were getting more attention, but the fact that the Aether Tower forum was this active meant there was a lot of interest in the Greatest Magic Tower Tournament, especially in the duels between Tower Masters. If I play my cards right, I could really boost the Blood Tower’s standing.
