Ch.6Kidnapping Like This (3)

    “…….”

A quiet silence flowed. The sound of someone swallowing beside her was loud enough to ring in her ears.

The magicians couldn’t take their eyes off the intruder’s face. Even the 9th Elder, known for his composure, couldn’t hide his continuous surprise while looking at the stranger.

The intruder was a beautiful woman with haughty eyes. Honestly, “beautiful” was insufficient to describe her. Looking into her blue eyes made one lose oneself as if under a spell.

And her hair—it was like a pristine sea untouched by human hands.

    But, but…….

Looking at her stirred up an inexplicable anger. The anger gradually grew larger, threatening to consume one’s mind like a whirlpool.

If they hadn’t been magicians, let alone White Magicians famous for controlling their emotions, a bloodbath might have occurred.

    No, it probably would have.

Even he, an elder of the White Tower, found it difficult to control his emotions.

‘What kind of person is this?’

The intruder appeared on the dragon’s back, of all places. Though he had only faced a dragon once in his life, he understood what it meant to ride on a dragon’s back.

‘A close friend, or master, close enough to offer its back.’

If she were a friend, she would have rushed to the collapsed dragon, not staring at them with an inscrutable expression.

Then it must be the latter.

It made sense that the dragon had rammed into the magic tower out of nowhere because the intruder had ordered it to.

‘She’s no different from a witch.’

While magicians draw magic power from nature, witches obtain it from the demons they serve.

Demonic magic is destructive and much denser, but to obtain it, one must sacrifice many human lives.

It’s not for nothing that witches are called traitors who betrayed humanity.

And witches were also the main enemies of the White Tower.

    ‘Now, reveal your true identity!’

The 9th Elder spread a thin layer of magic power toward the intruder. A subtle strand of magic that couldn’t be detected without reaching a certain level wrapped around the intruder.

    The intruder seemed unaware.

    ‘Good!’

The 9th Elder smiled with satisfaction. Though low in rank, he prided himself on his control of magic power second to none.

The results would soon be evident.

Evidence that she was an evil witch…….

    But nothing happened.

    ‘Huh?’

The 9th Elder shot another strand of magic power. Again, the result was no different.

The 9th Elder widened his eyes at the unbelievable result.

    ‘The color doesn’t change?’

Light magic specializes in countering evil. If the intruder were truly an evil witch, the magic strand should have turned black.

    There were only two possibilities.

First, if the magic power was as pure as nature itself.

High elves fall into this category. The reason one feels like standing in the middle of a forest wherever high elves are present is because of this.

She was fundamentally different from them, as merely looking at her aroused aggressive feelings.

Then the second possibility, that she blocked the approach to prevent her magic from being read…….

    This meant only one thing.

    ‘……She’s stronger than me.’

    Overwhelmingly so.

If they attacked recklessly, everyone would die.

    Then, for now, dialogue…….

    At that moment.

    “Wi-Witch!”

A magician who had finally come to his senses pointed at the intruder and shouted. At those words, magicians who hadn’t yet composed themselves were startled and deployed their magic.

    “Light!”

    “Judgment of justice…….”

Their number was around several dozen.

The incantations echoing from all directions were enough to blur the 9th Elder’s response.

    “Stop immediately!”

He shouted after regaining his senses, but some spells had already been fired toward the intruder.

    ‘Damn it!’

At this point, there was only one option.

The 9th Elder took out his staff and struck the ground.

    Light Spear.

Overflowing light magic formed a giant spear.

It was a spell normally used against large creatures like yetis, but now was not the time to be picky.

The sight of hundreds of spells pouring in one direction was truly spectacular.

    KWAGWAGWAGWANG!

No matter how strong the opponent was, it would be impossible to escape that explosion without any damage.

At the very least, there would be a momentary opening.

    That would be enough.

If they could just buy time to prepare the next spell…….

    At that moment.

“So you guys threw the first punch?”

Along with a casual voice from beyond the smoke, a blue light flashed.

    PAJIJIJIJIJIK-!

With a chilling sound, blue electricity swirled from the intruder’s fingertips.

    Thunderbolt.

    “KYAAAACK!”

An electrocuted magician screamed and collapsed. The current didn’t stop there but spread in all directions like a snake.

One strand became two, and two became four.

Before long, blue electricity filled the entire chamber.

    “Wh-What is this…….”

The 9th Elder turned his head blankly. The current that had already reached right in front of him filled his vision.

    ***

‘They’re definitely weak, as expected for the early stages.’

Olivia turned away from the unconscious 9th Elder.

While it was understandable for average magicians with levels in their 20s, it was somewhat surprising that an elder in his early 50s level fell with one hit.

Damage calculation was much harder than expected. It was fortunate that these were magicians with some magic resistance; if she had used this on ordinary villagers…….

    ‘The thought alone is terrifying.’

Olivia slightly raised her head to look at the shattered stairs. The collapsed pillars completely blocked the way to the upper floor.

    It was all Glacia’s work.

Thanks to that, reinforcements couldn’t come down from above, but the same applied to them—they couldn’t go up.

Judging by the noise from the stairway, they seemed to be preparing to clear the pillars and come down.

In that case, she would go in the opposite direction.

Olivia went to the point directly opposite the stairs and stopped. The next moment, her electricity-charged fist struck the first-floor ceiling.

    KWANG!

With the sound of the ceiling shattering, debris shot upward.

    “Th-The enemy!”

Having ascended to the upper floor, Olivia quickly scanned her surroundings.

    [Casey]

    [Ronan]

Unfortunately, the people she was looking for weren’t here.

    Then?

    PAJIJIJIK.

    “KYAAAACK!”

She would just knock everyone out and go to the next floor.

    The next floor too.

    “Intruder!”

    PAJIJIJIK!

    And the floor after that.

    “Inva……!”

    PAJIJIJIK!

The next next floor as well.

    “Wa……!”

    PAJIJIJIK!

Oh, that was faster than before.

    Olivia had already adapted.

After breaking through and ascending five more floors, a scene quite different from before awaited her.

First of all, there were incomparably more people. It seemed like all the remaining magicians had gathered here.

    “Your rampage ends here, witch.”

A familiar old man emerged from the crowd.

The White Tower Master, Royd Claithian.

He was quite popular in the community for the gap between his grandfatherly appearance and his habit of beating demons like dogs.

When players walked the righteous path, he would smile kindly and encourage them, but when they took the path of betrayal, he would burn their necks without the slightest hesitation.

    – Hoho, come right at me. I’ll fix that attitude of yours.

She used to really like him.

There was even a time when she reluctantly learned white magic at the White Tower just because of Royd.

Though it had been quite a while since she left the White Tower.

Olivia stopped reminiscing and raised her head.

    [Royd Claithian]

    – Level: 66

    – Affinity: -80

Despite the information displayed in the status window, Royd maintained an expressionless face.

But she knew. That Royd was very angry.

His expressionless demeanor meant he considered Olivia a demon, or a traitor equivalent to one.

The gazes of the other magicians were the same.

    Hatred, disgust.

All kinds of negative gazes were directed at her.

To the White Tower magicians, she was already an enemy, someone who needed to be killed.

Well, it was understandable in a way.

She had taken down quite a few White Magicians on her way here.

    “I didn’t kill them.”

“That’s why I’m still entertaining you for a moment.”

Actually, she had initially tried to resolve this through dialogue.

But the moment their eyes first met, she realized.

‘This isn’t something that can be resolved through words.’

If the White Tower magicians were like this, there was no need to consider others.

It was a moment when she once again realized she had become the enemy of the entire world.

    But!

Olivia had a goal. A goal to see the ending of this cursed world.

For that, she absolutely needed allies.

Even if the method was wrong.

    Olivia asked one last time.

“Even if I say I’ll leave if you just hand over three people now……. You won’t believe me, right?”

    “You know well.”

“Even if I swear on my mana that I won’t harm them?”

“The oath of a traitor who sold her soul to a demon isn’t worth listening to.”

    “But I’m not a witch?”

“That’s what they all say to defend themselves.”

    Words were not getting through.

Was Royd Claithian originally this kind of person? No. She knew his personality better than anyone.

Then there was only one answer.

The cursed affinity system was blocking his rational thought.

Olivia grabbed her head with one hand and laughed.

    “Ha, haha. Hahahaha.”

These crazy game company bastards. Just wait until I get out.

    “Haha…….”

    Olivia’s laughter stopped abruptly.

    And she spoke resolutely.

    “I clearly warned you.”

A thick cold air rose around Olivia.

The next moment, light and ice collided.
