    Ch.69[Episode 69] Operation: S.P.Y

After meeting an enthusiastic fan who asked for an autograph on their card, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica bought a bed and returned home.

The house was in a state where half was in its original form and half was decorated by Sir Dominica.

Sir Dominica naturally took off her armor in Sir Dominic’s room, placed it beside the bed, and sitting on the edge of the newly installed bed, brought up tomorrow’s schedule.

“I looked at the event notice again on our way back, and there’s a stage that people from parallel worlds can do together.”

Through what was originally a white t-shirt, now worn and old with a slightly yellowish tint, Sir Dominica’s presence exploded.

However, Sir Dominic felt no particular excitement at this sensual sight.

After all, Sir Dominic and Sir Dominica were ultimately one and the same, just from different worldlines.

The same was true for Sir Dominica.

“An event stage. Does your notice say what kind of stage it is?”

“No. It just says there’s a stage, without any details.”

Sir Dominica scratched her head in confusion, then suddenly realized she was still wearing her feather ornament.

After removing the remaining feather decoration and lying down on the bed, Sir Dominica thought about various hypotheses regarding the event stage and blinked.

“Let’s just look for the event stage tomorrow if nothing else comes up. Neither of us is particularly interested in the election event anyway.”

“That’s true. But since the location isn’t written either, it will probably take quite some time to find it.”

Sir Dominic also took off his armor and placed it on the armor stand in a corner of the room.

It was in these small details that one could truly feel they were people from different worlds.

“Why don’t you come to bed too?”

Sir Dominica patted the soft bed with a playful expression.

“Unfortunately, the bed looks too soft. I’m actually more comfortable with something a bit uncomfortable for now.”

    Sir Dominic declined the offer.

In reality, he had grown accustomed to uncomfortable nights in Gachaland.

“What, you don’t see me as a woman?”

“Would anyone get aroused by themselves?”

Sir Dominic shook his head at Sir Dominica’s provocation.

This is where their values diverged.

Having lived as a battle nun and knight, and having endured countless sexual harassments on the battlefield, Sir Dominica found Sir Dominic’s stuffy chivalry refreshing.

On the other hand, Sir Dominic, who had risen from serf to knight, maintained orthodox chivalry and noble attitudes to avoid criticism from those around him.

When they entered battle, each of their true natures awakened—Sir Dominica acted like a knight, while Sir Dominic acted like a beast—but in everyday life, it was the opposite.

“Anyway, tomorrow we’ll look for the event stage. Got it?”

“You don’t need to repeat and emphasize it multiple times. Tomorrow we’ll do the event stage.”

Sir Dominica kept repeating what she was saying.

This was because Sir Dominica was falling under the spell of the soft bed and getting sleepier.

Due to drowsiness, Sir Dominica’s thoughts began to break off, and soon she surrendered her entire body to the bed, enjoying its softness.

After her vision briefly went dark, Sir Dominica turned her head to look at the clock.

Given the time and her increasingly heavy eyelids, it seemed it was time to sleep.

With the final thought of “Let’s sleep on it and think about it later,” Sir Dominica fell asleep in her darkening vision.

    “My, she snores quite thunderously.”

Sir Dominic was startled by the suddenly thunderous snoring and looked at Sir Dominica.

Sir Dominica was deeply asleep in a defenseless state.

An attitude with absolutely no trace of knightly dignity.

However, since Sir Dominica was still a knight despite appearances, Sir Dominic decided to protect her honor.

Sir Dominic pulled the blanket that Sir Dominica had kicked off up to her neck and headed to the living room.

After all, Sir Dominica was a woman, and sharing a bed with a woman was not permitted by the chivalry in Sir Dominic’s heart.

So Sir Dominic sought sleep on the living room sofa.

Deep in the night, at Himetotzsaigo Castle.

“Surprise attacks won’t work on me, Lord Hime!”

“And you, Lord Tsuki, your sword is too honest!”

In the training ground deep within Himetotzsaigo Castle, a wandering swordsman and a kunoichi were clashing.

Against the backdrop of the black sky with a full moon, their sweat droplets scattered and sparkled on the white glowing floor of the training ground.

Hime, dressed in a kunoichi outfit made of mesh and fabric, did a somersault backward and threw the shuriken hidden at her waist.

The shuriken aimed precisely at the wandering swordsman’s heart, but it was blocked by the side of the large sword the wandering swordsman was holding and deflected away.

“The crooked path cannot defeat the righteous path, Lord Hime.”

The wandering swordsman Tsuki, wearing a thin iron hat and tight black tights, shook her sword once to the side and sheathed it.

The sleeve of the kimono tied around her waist fluttered in the moonlight before returning to its place.

“But your crooked path follows the righteous path. It’s hard to understand, but that’s how it feels.”

“That you think so shows your old-fashioned thinking, Lord Tsuki.”

Hime landed on a tree planted in the corner of the training ground.

Above her head, at the top of the tree, hung the full moon.

“Any technique, when practiced honestly, is the righteous path; when shortcuts are taken, it becomes the crooked path.”

Hime clenched her fist and then half-opened it like a cat’s paw.

Between each of her fingers was a shuriken.

“Indeed. I’ve learned something. Lord Hime.”

The wandering swordsman Tsuki grabbed the edge of her iron hat and slightly bowed her head.

Her long hair that had fallen below the iron hat swayed.

And as a courtesy to her opponent, she drew the sword she had not yet unsheathed from the two swords at her waist.

The situation was tense, as if they would clash at any moment.

The wind blew, scattering tree branches in whirls across the training ground.

    “Enough! Stop.”

With a thud, a vibration ran through the training ground floor.

Hime and Tsuki turned toward the source of the sound.

Red armor with three long swords at the waist. And a mask in the form of an evil spirit.

It was the clan head, Unryu Hime.

“I understand your competitive spirit, but too much is worse than too little.”

Unryu Hime, who had planted her sword in the ground and placed both hands on the hilt, suddenly shifted her weight to one foot and drew the sword with one hand.

“Above all, haven’t I told you to always be careful when using weapons?”

    Unryu Hime’s demeanor changed.

If the Hime from just a moment ago was the epitome of a confident and imposing warrior, the current Hime was the epitome of a calm and perceptive ronin.

    “Father.”

    “Father.”

Hime came down from the tree, knelt on one knee on the training ground floor, and bowed her head.

Tsuki made a fist with her right hand, placed it on her left chest, and bowed only her head.

Having received the courtesy due to the clan head, Hime raised her hand.

“Enough. There’s no need to stand on ceremony with this father.”

“Do you know how sad I am that our daughter has lost her cuteness?”

Two different voices came simultaneously from Hime’s demon mask.

At those words, Hime and Tsuki raised their heads and looked at the clan head… no, their father.

“Come to think of it, you two met so quickly.”

“When was it that we first encountered each other?”

Half of Hime maintained decorum, while the other half took out the gourd tied at the waist and drank the alcohol inside.

“I suppose we were in similar places because of similar situations?”

    “…I’m embarrassed to agree, Father.”

These kunoichi and wandering swordsman had something in common—they both harbored inexplicable feelings for someone.

“Yes. As I mentioned before, were you thinking about someone who concerns you?”

“What! Tsuki didn’t tell me that! Who is it! Tell me who you like!”

Hime’s words contradicted each other, but both were full of love for her daughters.

“As I said, to win in love, you must become a fox. Pongs. Understand?”

“What fox! Who is it! Who is the bastard who seduced our daughter like a fox taking a liver!”

Hime looked disapprovingly at the half of herself that was losing control and raging, then raised the edge of her hand and struck her own neck.

For a moment, Hime’s head tilted, then soon returned to normal.

“Anyway, this father supports your love. Is there anything more beautiful than love?”

    “Yes, Father.”

    “Yes.”

Hime and Tsuki deeply engraved their father’s advice to become foxes in their hearts.

“By the way, I hear there’s an event stage.”

Feeling that the atmosphere had become serious, Hime changed the subject by throwing out a new topic.

“Unfortunately, since I am one body, I’ll have to give up on this event, but it would be good for you two to experience it.”

Hime and Tsuki raised their heads to look at Hime.

“Above all, I had my fortune told yesterday, and the divination showed that our daughter will soon meet her destiny. Since destiny cannot be obtained by standing still, you must experience this stage.”

    “Yes.”

    “Understood.”

Hime and Tsuki bowed their heads, accepting the clan head’s request.

Looking at his daughter and parallel world daughter for a moment, Hime then turned around and returned to the castle.

Behind the mask, Hime smiled quietly.

As did the Hime within him.

After Hime returned to the castle, Hime and Tsuki raised their heads.

The two had identical faces, differing only in hairstyle and clothing.
