Ch.64Fun Competition (4)
by fnovelpia
Unlike those raising their glasses in celebration behind them, the ordinary mages were completely absorbed in enjoying the tournament.
With plenty of food and entertainment available, they could enjoy themselves without a moment’s pause.
However, something even more astonishing was happening at this tournament that would surprise all the people of the Magical Kingdom, including the mages.
[What’s with these Blood-poor bastards?]
Why are they suddenly so good?
They used to be the idiots who cut themselves just to draw blood and then begged us for help.
But now when I meet them, they’re flinging blood around and sending everyone flying?
Damn… I never thought I’d get hit by blood and go flying.
Comments:
– So that was you? LMAO
ㄴ Seriously, getting slapped with blood feels weird lol
– Slapping people with blood… is this Blood Magic?
ㄴ It does look kind of tasty… might be fun if used properly…
ㄴㄴ (Join the Blood Tower, come on)
ㄴㄴㄴ No thanks
– These Blood-poor kids are acting strange lately… They’re not the ones I used to know…
ㄴ Glad I’m not the only one who noticed;
[“When did we start thinking we were weak?”]
(High-level Blood Mage sweeping everyone away with Blood Magic.jpg)
(Meme with Count Vladimir’s face photoshopped.jpg)
Break, “Illusion”
Comments:
– You Purple Tower geek…
– A Blood Mage using illusion magic…
– ?? Did all the other Magic Tower people just get slaughtered?
– Stop photoshopping this stuff, you Purple Tower losers
ㄴ If you think this is photoshopped, I seriously question your intelligence… I’d like to know your research scores lol
ㄴㄴ If this isn’t photoshopped, then what is it? lol They’re not mages with nothing better to do 24 hours a day lol
– Damn you, Purple Tower! Are you the best at illusion magic too?!
ㄴ They’ve always been in charge of illusion magic lol
ㄴ You bastard lol
– First time I’ve seen the Purple Tower and Blood Tower connected…
ㄴ Since vampires as a species can be enchanting, maybe they actually go well together?
ㄴㄴ What what what what what?
ㄴㄴ Midir’s enchantment? Ah… I’m getting hard…
ㄴㄴㄴ Please stop
ㄴㄴㄴ You fucking bastard
[Didn’t the Blood Tower Master teach them something? That’s probably why.]
Yes, the Blood Tower Master taught the Blood Mages.
It’s a famous story that’s spread across the forums.
They say she only taught them the basics, but since Blood Magic itself is a relatively new magic without much foundation, learning just the basics could dramatically improve their level.
I don’t know what she taught them, but…
Comments:
– Average Bloods;
– An Average Blood pretending to be an Average Red pretending to be an Average Blue pretending to be an Average Green pretending to be an Average Black pretending to be an Average White pretending to be an Average Purple pretending to be an Average Iron lolololol
ㄴ What’s with this guy?
ㄴ You’re just an Average Blood…
– This is a real Average Blood…
– Why is this an Average Blood? Couldn’t they have genuinely improved after learning the basics?
ㄴ I think it’s possible since the Tower Master taught them directly, but still… lol
ㄴㄴ If you haven’t heard it directly, you shouldn’t be talking…
ㄴ When they’re using what the Blood Tower Master taught them to destroy all the other Magic Towers, what else would you call it but an Average Blood? lol
ㄴㄴ Oh, THAT kind of Average Blood lol
– Was there such an incident? Link please
ㄴ Go find it yourself
ㄴㄴ Come on! How am I supposed to find it when I don’t even know when it happened!!!!!
[Let me guess what she taught them]
I’ve experienced dealing with Blood Mages firsthand.
You’ll probably feel it too, but I’ll just post this.
If you disagree, you’re right.
1. Their magic casting speed is on a completely different level
Before, whenever they wanted to use Blood Magic, they had to wound themselves first.
Once they made a wound, they could use Blood Magic through that wound until it healed, but honestly, I think this is the biggest reason why Blood Magic wasn’t popular.
I mean, who would like magic that requires self-harm to use? lol
But watching the Blood Mages this time, this preliminary work of wounding themselves doesn’t exist at all.
As soon as they want to use magic, blood is extracted and used for magic. I think this might be the “basics” they learned.
2. They’re incredibly strong
This might sound meaningless, but surprisingly, their bodies are completely different from ordinary mages.
Should I say their physical abilities are generally better? Their dynamic vision is faster, and their judgment is insane.
I thought it was just that one person, but all the Blood Mages I met today were unbelievable.
I mean, the fact that only Blood Mages remained in the equestrian competition is extremely unusual, damn it.
3. Their Blood Magic level is different
Until now, most Blood Magic I’ve seen was all wobbly, but the ones I met this time were all sharp… It’s still blunt, but seeing them create various forms and use them however they want makes me think Blood Magic might actually be good.
I never imagined someone could make threads with Blood Magic and pull off a headband, damn it.
Conclusion: When will our Tower Master teach us…
Comments:
– Is this for real? How is this possible?
ㄴ Since it’s direct teaching from a Tower Master, I think it’s possible… Damn, I’m so jealous of those bastards
ㄴㄴ Sigh… why only them…
– Why are you even jealous? Just join the Blood Tower and all your problems will be solved lol
ㄴ For real lol I think it’s actually a loss not to join the Blood Tower now lol
ㄴㄴ Seeing how you talk, I really don’t want to join
ㄴㄴㄴ Yeah, don’t come~ We’ll enjoy all the benefits ourselves~ Mmm, delicious~
– Wanting to be taught by the Tower Master is ridiculous in itself lol. The Blood Tower Master is just amazing
ㄴ That’s true… It’s not easy to share what you’ve built with others… Even I don’t like teaching others
Most people thought it was impossible, but what could they do?
The fact that the Blood Tower Master had personally taught her mages wouldn’t change just because they didn’t believe it.
Unlike the forums that were buzzing with surprise at the unexpected performance of the Blood Mages who had always been in last place…
“Hehe…”
Midir, the mastermind behind all this, was having a great time.
“Is everyone enjoying the festival?”
“Ah, Lady Midir!”
Several days had passed since the start of the Greatest Magic Tower Tournament.
The mages were enjoying what could be considered the highlight of the tournament.
Since the basic purpose of the Greatest Magic Tower Tournament was to establish hierarchy among the Magic Towers, competitive elements were necessary.
The basic structure was to earn points through competitive matches proposed by each Magic Tower, with the tower earning the most points being the winner, making competition essential.
The Magic Tower that wins by receiving high scores will be recognized by Eterna and given the opportunity to become the representative Tower Master for that year, standing as an equal to Eterna.
‘That’s the important part.’
Midir’s eyes gleamed.
Unlike before, this was an opportunity to create a representative who could gather and express the opinions of all Tower Masters.
That’s why every Magic Tower was desperately struggling to win.
Of course, winning this tournament was essential for properly executing the plan she had devised.
“The others are all doing well.”
Fortunately, the Blood Mages were performing even better than she had expected.
“Ahem.”
Midir, standing on the platform, cleared her throat.
“Everyone has worked hard. I am very satisfied with the results you’ve achieved despite receiving the Blood Strengthening Art only recently.”
Midir was genuinely satisfied.
She hadn’t expected to take first place.
She thought it would be enough if they could just keep the point difference manageable for her to make up.
But it was more than that.
“Our total score so far puts us in third place. Compared to always finishing last, this is tremendous progress.”
How could this be possible?
Midir wore an expression of sincere amazement.
“B-Blood Tower Master…”
“Thank you! We’ll work even harder!”
Midir’s reputation among the Blood Mages was soaring through the roof.
Of course it was.
In addition to the benefits of the Blood Strengthening Art, she had brought them this far when they had always lost before.
They couldn’t help but feel grateful.
“…There’s no need for such words. You’ve come this far through your own hard work.”
Just a few months of proper direction couldn’t possibly allow them to overwhelm the others.
The roots of magic that the others had built were very deep.
It would be absurd to think they could win with just a few months of training.
“But don’t worry this time.”
Midir smiled confidently.
“This time, I’ll show you.”
Midir was certain.
The Blood Tower would take first place in this tournament.
The era of the Blood Tower was about to begin.
