    <Round 10, Final Round!>

    <‘Icarus’ vs ‘Rio Grande’>

<Would you like to proceed with the battle?>

<*Both sides must agree for the battle to begin!>

    <Y/N>

    (Battle preparation complete: 0/2)

    —————————————–

Obviously, neither I nor my opponent would proceed without first assessing the current mess of a situation.

Rio Grande, ranked 8th in the Clan rankings, and I came to an implicit agreement to analyze the battlefield first.

    And shortly after.

“Commander, I’ll divide the area from bottom to top into ‘lower, middle, and upper’ sections for easier explanation.”

    “Yeah, go ahead.”

Our Jessica gathered all the information and organized it to give me a clean, easy-to-understand briefing.

“Starting with the lower section, the widespread ion currents make it completely impossible to properly assess the situation.”

    “The situation can’t be assessed?”

“Yes, meaning it’s impossible to determine the ‘depth’.”

Seeing the mess filled with ion currents where high-density energy flowed like lightning—where small ships would either melt or explode upon entry—I couldn’t help but wonder how anyone was supposed to operate small vessels here.

Regardless of my thoughts, when the image appeared on the command center’s massive screen, I saw a bluish space that was wider and deeper than our entire fleet formation combined.

“So all of that is considered the ‘lower section’?”

“Yes, but we can’t even determine how wide it is. Even with the fleet’s radar at maximum output, we can’t detect the full range.”

    “Wow.”

Just as Jessica said, there was a wavy line symbol between the markers for the “end” (the black hole) and our fleet’s position in the “middle section,” indicating an unmeasurable distance.

“But isn’t that just skipped because it’s too deep?”

“Actually, we don’t even know if it’s deep or not. The ion currents covering the lower section would cause any ship smaller than a medium cruiser to lose steering control and get sucked straight into the black hole.”

“So that’s why confirmation is impossible?”

“Yes, and since radar and scanner detection don’t work either, we’d need to see it directly, which is also impossible.”

    “Hmm.”

“Oh right, and we’ve confirmed that the lower terrain is unstable due to the energy from the ion currents and the gravitational waves from the black hole.”

    “Unstable?”

“It looks like it’s slowly falling inward toward the black hole like a sand trap, but in reality, it’s like exploring a seabed filled with reef clusters.”

    “Oh shit.”

To summarize the lower section: ships smaller than medium cruisers can’t even go down there because of the terrible natural terrain(?) of ion currents.

And in a situation where those damn ion currents block all visibility, one wrong move could put you in range of the black hole that protrudes higher than other areas, sending you straight into it.

How insane is this terrain? (1)

But the story didn’t end there.

“Next is the middle section. The ion currents spread like clouds throughout the area severely limit visibility and navigation.”

    “Hmm.”

“In addition to the ion currents, there are neutron storms forming throughout the terrain, created by gamma ray energy escaping from the black hole in the lower section.”

    “Ssssss.”

Despite looking like clouds, these extremely dangerous ion currents move randomly and ambiguously.

And then there are neutron storms that send asteroids ranging from tens to hundreds of kilometers toward the “upper section,” moving around as they please.

I strongly felt the urge to abandon everything else and quickly return the fleet to base if possible.

The ridiculous part is that the middle section still has safe zones where there are no ion currents or raging neutron storms.

How insane is this terrain? (2)

And finally, for the “upper section”…

“After investigating the density of the asteroid belt in the upper section, only destroyer-class ships and smaller can navigate through it.”

“There must be problems, of course. Tell me.”

“The asteroids are densely packed, and new ones are constantly being introduced by neutron storms, so there aren’t many routes available for maneuvering.”

As another new screen appeared with those words.

I could feel a rather peculiar sensation seeing what was essentially a “maze,” making a mockery of the term “three-dimensional space.”

“So you can only move in certain directions, and evasion is impossible if you get hit.”

“You can move forward and backward, and make slight movements in other directions.”

    “Not easy.”

And the problems with the upper section didn’t end there.

-“Commander? A new natural phenomenon has just been detected in the upper terrain.”

“…The term ‘natural phenomenon’ sounds a bit strange, but what is it?”

-“Due to the neutron storms connected to the upper section, asteroids and gamma ray energy rise from the lower section to the upper section.”

    That’s right.

After hearing that unavoidable traps occasionally appear in the already incredibly complex upper terrain.

How insane is this terrain? (3)

‘Damn this terrain, it’s three strikes and you’re out.’

Occasionally, asteroids (large ones) or gamma ray energy naturally emitted from the black hole ride the neutron storms upward.

Then they scatter randomly across the battlefield, meaning one wrong move could lead to unavoidable mass casualties.

Seeing this truly vicious and brutal situation, I wondered what on earth I should do here.

    ==========

And such thoughts weren’t limited to our Icarus—the gallery watching the live broadcast felt the same way.

Title: Why is every Round 10 terrain such a complete mess? LOLOLOLOL

    This is fucking terrible

And this is just what I’ve picked out

If you look at other videos, there are even more monstrous things

Some have massive black holes randomly appearing in the middle of the battlefield making combat super difficult

    Comments:

-[Hey, why are rankers showing up? Didn’t they get eliminated in the preliminaries?]

-˪[Those who were eliminated in the preliminaries only did rounds 1 and 2, they weren’t completely removed]

    -[LOLOLOLOLOL what a mess]

-[Why did they make it like this?]

Why did they suddenly lose their minds in Round 10?

How am I supposed to fight in this?

    Comments:

-[They accommodated players through Round 9, so now players have to accommodate them in Round 10 lol]

    -˪[Damn, that’s exactly it]

-[This is the Round 10 you chose, endure it with grit and determination]

-[At least that one has some humanity. Some maps just completely abandoned any sense of decency]

Perhaps because all sorts of things were popping up.

The viewers seemed to be losing their minds all over the place.

But no matter how many terrible things appeared…

Title: The funny thing is that among all the verified battles, Icarus vs Rio Grande got the worst one

    Asteroid belt

    +

    Neutron storm

    +

    Ion currents

    +

    Black hole

Is this seriously a comprehensive gift set of the worst natural terrain ever?

    Comments:

    -[For real lol]

    —————————————–

Since they got the worst “comprehensive gift set of terrible terrain” compared to others.

A large number of users began focusing their attention, curious to see what kind of bloody mess these two rankers would make in such conditions.
