Chapter Index

Besides all that, cries of dying users were echoing throughout the gallery and chat rooms.

Unable to watch the poor newbies suffer any longer, veteran players began writing tip posts for clueless newbies who kept getting themselves killed.

However, these tip posts all had their own ambiguous problems.

Title: Space Monsters are Fucking Dangerous, Be Careful

    Author: Ammonite

Content: [Image of a giant Orthoceras-type monster charging forward while being hit by missiles and shells]

The key characteristic of these bastards is that except for some “starships,” they either have no ranged weapons or their ranged capabilities are pathetic.

But in exchange, the moment you allow them to get close, your fleet gets completely shredded.

Plus, their bio-armor is insanely tough, so as shown in my proof shot, it’s impossible to stop them with the firepower of typical small ships lol

Either control them by running like hell while pouring firepower on them to take them down.

Or there’s equipment called “Heavy Torpedoes” available in the gacha—mount those on your ships and fire them for meaningful damage against medium-sized monsters.

Small monsters can even die in one hit if you do it right.

Title: Micro-tips for Newbies Who Suck Against Space Monsters

    Author: Newbie Slayer

    Content: [Image of Space Monsters]

First, note that this information was obtained from veteran players and may change with future updates.

The most important thing to know is that with current user fleets, you should absolutely avoid close combat with space monsters.

Unless you have dozens of superhumans specialized in anti-personnel or anti-army combat stationed on each of your ships,

Your fleet will just become an iron supplement for space monsters.

Small Monsters: Size between escort ships and destroyers

These are the smallest in the space monster fleet and have no weapons except claws and tentacles.

But their frontal armor is almost tougher than armored medium destroyers, so when they push forward, the turrets and small interceptor missiles on small ships won’t even scratch them.

They can be one-shot if they take a direct hit from cruiser-class main guns or heavy torpedoes mentioned in other posts.

Medium Monsters: Similar in size to cruisers, but varies by individual

These are the actual main force of space monsters.

From this size, they start having ranged weapons, but it’s literally just for show—these huge creatures only have a single plasma breath attack.

Instead, their armor gets even tougher, with frontal armor literally at battleship level.

So for users to penetrate them head-on now, you either need to simultaneously fire dozens of heavy torpedoes,

Or use firepower-type cruisers or siege-type cruisers from the gacha.

Large Monsters: Minimum size of a battleship or larger

From this point on, if you encounter one in the current situation, repeat after me: “We’re all dead.”

The firepower needed to penetrate these bastards head-on is only available from strictly firepower-type characters among the SSS-rank characters that drop with extremely low probability.

They are somewhat slower than other monsters, so one strategy is to sacrifice a large ship as bait and attack from behind,

But what’s characteristic of these guys? They’re always surrounded by tons of escort ships.

Super-Large Monsters: Minimum larger than large monsters

Specifically, they’re said to be larger than dreadnoughts or carriers.

Since you’ve never seen either of those two ships, just accept this description.

They’re basically super battleships, monster version.

They have the powerful ranged firepower that monsters usually lack, plus incredibly tough armor and excel at close combat.

Their only weakness is being slow, but for super-large ships like these, being slow doesn’t really matter much.

Queen Monsters: Even larger than the above

They’re monster versions of aviation battleships.

But they’re overpowered ships that excel as both aircraft carriers and battleships, with insane performance.

They automatically heal nearby monster fleets and produce new fleets over time.

You probably won’t encounter one now, but if you do?

Give up your entire fleet, you absolutely can’t save it.

Besides their inherent capabilities, their bio-radar tracking is insane,

If a fleet attacks them and tries to escape, they’ll chase it to the edge of the universe and completely destroy it.

And if there are other fleets there, they’ll destroy those too.

Oh, and besides these, there are also humanoid monsters that counter users’ superhumans and other interesting things.

The humanoid ones all look sexy.

They look like they’re wearing full-body suits infested with tentacles, and you can put those on your superhumans like skins which is super hot haha.

    Comments:

-[That last line reveals your true intentions]

-[I was thinking this was really informative until the true motive popped out at the end]

    -[Tentacle fetishists will love this]

-[Lololol great, I’m going to pledge allegiance to Monster-sama right now lololololol]

-[But there’s only ship descriptions and no other explanations]

-[I asked for faction explanations, you idiot]

    —————————————-

Due to the nature of Space Monsters causing newbies to have their “fleets” shredded, the tip posts contained more explanations about fleets than about the factions themselves.

    —————————————-

Title: Let’s Learn About the Annoying Space Elf Aliens

    Author: Khanpf

    Content: [Alien concept art]

These are the alien faction known as Space Elves.

Their characteristic, as is typical in these games, is that they’re armed with amazing technology but have extremely small numbers.

So this faction doesn’t start with an equal relationship with users, but rather acts like they’re doing users a favor, so they’re super picky at first.

But as you complete quests, their friendliness increases, and eventually they shower users with all kinds of gifts.

Kind of like treating a pet performing tricks?

Anyway, as you’re probably experiencing firsthand now, this faction has fewer ships but insane firepower.

Roughly speaking, their ships have higher firepower and defense than typical ships of the same class?

However, their defense is only amazing because of their shields; their actual armor is just average or thinner.

Their mobility is surprisingly ordinary, as according to their lore, only lowly beings rush around frantically.

So how do you deal with these guys?

Unlike those space monster bastards, trying to outmaneuver them is meaningless unless you’ve pulled S-rank or higher from the gacha.

If you try zigzagging, you’ll just get hit in a zigzag pattern.

So you need to wear down their shields in a slugfest, then destroy them from a distance with your main ships.

Boarding actions are not recommended, as their internal troops are similar in level to our superhumans.

If you’re unlucky, even SSS-ranks can get shredded, so it’s dangerous.

    Comments:

    -[Upvote for information]

-[Why are the fleet explanations so brief here too?]

-[This only talks about large ships, there’s nothing about small ships]

    —————————————-

Unlike the Space Monster post, the Space Khanpf post had somewhat comprehensive explanations, but the depth of those explanations was remarkably shallow.

    Finally, for the Earth Federation…

    —————————————-

    Title: Earth Federation Fleet Explanation

    Author: Tsutsugamushi

    Content: [Earth Federation logo]

Appearance = You can see it, right?

Fleet performance = Similar to ours, but some special fleets are overall stronger than ours

Response method = Similar to dealing with pirates, either properly beat them from a distance or engage in close combat for boarding actions

Dangerous things = Anything labeled “Federation Main Force,” don’t touch it or you’ll die

    Comments:

    -[Upvote for information]

    -[TLDR good]

-[Why is this one so compressed?]

    -˪[Real compression king]

-˪[Too lazy to write in detail](Author)

    -[Author is a real man]

    —————————————-

With explanations that were overly brief and only covered what was “sort of” necessary, the gallery users could only shake their heads at these veteran players who had various issues.

But regardless of the reasons, these posts were invaluable tips for clueless newbies, so before long, the newbies were gathering all these tip posts to create a “Sanctuary of Knowledge” within the gallery.
