[Event: Gacha Land General Election]
Elections in Gacha Land always smile upon those who put in effort. Everyone receives one basic vote, and you can earn additional voting rights every time you run a stage during the election period.

Does this violate equal voting rights? Well, this is how voting works in Gacha Land.

[Balance Patch]
[★★ Sir Dominic][3 Cost] → [★★ Sir Dominic][5 Cost]
※When Sir Dominic greets someone, Defense Penetration -15%
The tanker recently called the ultimate value-for-money has been more popular than we expected.
We believe a character not yet in the gacha pool is this popular because of both excellent concept and performance, plus the ability to deploy early.
Thinking that if Sir Dominic were released as is, he might be included in almost every card pool, we decided to nerf his cost so he can be deployed at a more appropriate timing.
Additionally, judging that Sir Dominic’s stats were too high and would diminish his value as a tanker, we boldly nerfed his defense penetration.
From now on, Sir Dominic will have difficulty dealing with those wearing armor.
[Bug Fixes]
· Fixed a bug where singer Neweller Cave wouldn’t sing his third song.
· Fixed a bug where the Black Scholar was just loafing around at home.
· Fixed a bug where the Black Scholar was writing five novels per day.
Sir Dominic was reading the newly released patch notes while drinking corn silk tea at a café in town.
This tea, which he ordered because of its interesting name, tasted like the tree root he often consumed in Feralant.
While savoring the taste that brought back memories, Sir Dominic thought about yesterday’s hearing.
It had been a day that made him think, “Gacha Land is truly a strange place.”
‘At yesterday’s hearing, Senator Trom of the Melee DPS Alliance was exposed for corruption. Senator Trom was charged with dealing with Mountain Bridge Marsh, manipulating public opinion, and accepting bribes.’
Was there a radio somewhere?
All broadcasting media in Gacha Land had been reporting on Trom’s corruption all day long.
“Is this necessary when he’s already being punished by becoming a boss?”
Sir Dominic asked the muscular man sitting across from him.
It was Senator Muscleman.
“Just as each dimension has slightly different etiquette, Gacha Land has its own etiquette.”
Senator Muscleman took out his water bottle, gulped down lukewarm water filled with protein, and smiled brightly.
“Value is important in Gacha Land. Now he has gained the value of being a boss.”
After taking another sip of his protein drink, Muscleman carefully placed the water bottle on the table.
The bottle was so heavy that the table momentarily tilted slightly toward it.
“What is the value of a boss? Strength? Concept? Or gimmick?”
“Are you saying a boss’s value lies in gaining recognition and being well-farmed?”
Sir Dominic preemptively asked.
Muscleman clapped his hands, flashing his white teeth.
“Something like that. It seems you’re beginning to understand Gacha Land.”
Sir Dominic remembered yesterday’s madness.
Until the nerf for him was confirmed, Trom had been killed no less than 13 times.
Yet he revived, and revived again… The situation was so miserable that Trom might have already atoned for all his sins.
“When value disappears, one can no longer survive. That’s the fundamental principle of Gacha Land.”
Sir Dominic nodded.
Despite having reason to be annoyed by Sir Dominic’s persistent questions, Muscleman actually liked him.
Shouldn’t a tanker strive for improvement in various fields?
In that sense, he couldn’t help but like Sir Dominic, who made efforts to learn what he didn’t know.
“Would you consider joining our Tanker Union?”
Muscleman casually broached the subject.
“In ten years. No, in five years, you could be sitting in a senator’s seat.”
“Don’t say that. After experiencing yesterday, I realized politics is too chaotic to be worth doing.”
Sir Dominic waved his hands dismissively.
His expression was so contorted that one might have mistaken it for being visible beneath his blindfold.
Sir Dominic grumbled that politics was incomprehensible, then suddenly changed the subject as if something else had piqued his curiosity.
“There’s one more thing I’m curious about.”
“Ask away.”
Sir Dominic expressed his doubt while recalling yesterday’s scene that suddenly came to mind.
“Yesterday’s madness among the senators wasn’t easily explainable. Is politics always like that?”
“Ah.”
Muscleman thought about what had happened yesterday.
“Such incidents are rare, but none of them are quite in their right mind.”
“Including myself,” he added with a self-deprecating smile before continuing.
“To become a senator, one must be at least 4-star. Actually, the original law had no tier restrictions, but…”
Muscleman closed his eyes and spoke softly as if recalling the distant past.
“Gacha Land seems to offer a lot to do, but surprisingly, people who’ve reached a certain orbit often have nothing to do. That threshold is 4-star. And the senator position was created as a temporary job to help those idle people pass time. It started as something like, ‘If you have free time, help us out with some work,’ from what I understand.”
Muscleman took another sip from his water bottle.
“Come to think of it, what Trom misunderstood was that the senator position in Gacha Land is far from power. Other departments are so busy that we handle some of their work, but being a senator is essentially just being a figurehead. Since the general election itself is close to a popularity contest…”
Muscleman’s voice trailed off.
He felt a bit embarrassed after saying it out loud.
“I’ve talked too much. Anyway, because they’re so bored, when something interesting appears, everyone throws themselves into it wholeheartedly. Content is so rare that there’s a tendency to go overboard, but their true nature isn’t like that…”
Muscleman wanted to defend the senators as much as possible, but when he thought about it, their true nature wasn’t much different.
In the end, Muscleman gave up on correcting himself and told it like it was.
“I see. Well, it seems none of the senators are quite in their right mind.”
Feeling embarrassed again, Muscleman cleared his throat and added a slight defense.
“Well, in Gacha Land, normal people are abnormal, and abnormal people are normal.”
Sir Dominic nodded at those words.
After all, he hadn’t met a single sane person among those he’d encountered in Gacha Land.
“Anyway, we’ve achieved all our goals.”
Muscleman changed the subject. He felt that if they continued on this topic, controversial statements might slip out.
“We succeeded in controlling your nerf to some extent, and we succeeded in punishing Trom. Now what remains is… making you a star for the revival of tankers.”
“Were you serious about that? I thought you were just saying that to disrupt eavesdropping.”
“Of course not.”
Muscleman spoke with a serious expression.
His protruding brow bone and sunken eyes cast a shadow.
“The revival of tankers is an important issue. I don’t even ask for half of half. Just 5%. If we could just reach 5%, Gacha Land’s pool would expand.”
Sir Dominic saw a burning passion in those shadowed eyes. It was like a flame of passion blazing within.
“Tankers don’t stand out much, but you’re different. You have something that makes people take notice. If you learn to use that power properly, the revival of tankers will be easy.”
Muscleman leaned on the table and bent his upper body toward Sir Dominic. The table nearly collapsed under him, causing him to slip, but he maintained a pose with his chin resting in mid-air as if nothing had happened.
“Therefore, the Tanker Union will spare no support and sponsorship for you. If you need anything, call me. Even if not through the union, I’ll support you personally.”
He handed Sir Dominic his business card and left.
[★★★★☆ Senator Muscleman (23 years old)][10 Cost]
23 years old.
Sir Dominic almost missed it, but he looked at the card again.
23 years old. Sir Dominic had thought he was in his 40s, but he was surprisingly young.
In his confusion, Sir Dominic momentarily escaped reality.
So that’s why he was so passionate, he thought.
