While resources were being spent lavishly due to the impressive supply rate…

    In galleries and chat rooms, opinions criticizing the developers for another “no update” period since the Grand Cross continued to pop up.

    Title: It’s been over a month without updates, what are you devs doing?

    Author: Anonymous

    Content: [Image of a spreadsheet showing no events after the Grand Cross event.jpg]

    Is this for real?

    Get to work, devs

    Is this why you kidnapped and possessed us here? I’m feeling self-loathing and misery

    Comments:

    -[LOLOLOLOLOLOL]

    -[Why aren’t you working!]

    -[But even without updates, clans have been busy fighting each other]

    -˪[That’s true]

    -[Plus, even solo players have been busy fighting among themselves, so they haven’t had time to whine about no updates]

    -˪[*sigh*]

    Of course, no matter how much they complained…

    As everyone already knew, unlike the no-update period after the 4th anniversary event…

    After the Grand Cross event, all users’ combat power had been drastically weakened, resulting in power struggles in all areas.

    It would be fair to say that users who would whine about “no updates” could hardly exist in such circumstances.

    Well, those with overwhelming power like myself or the Four Major Clans and other large clans didn’t get caught up in those petty struggles.

    Similarly, the “self-proclaimed Imperial citizens” or “so-called users” in my territory had observed the chaos from a distance.

    So it was only natural that complaints about “no updates” would eventually emerge.

    Of course, since users who experienced the “great chaos” outnumbered those who felt the no-update period, users who whined about no updates were quickly ridiculed…

    Perhaps from the developers’ perspective, they thought, “Yeah, it has been quite a while since we ran an event.”

    Not long after those whiny posts started appearing…

    An event notification message, something we hadn’t seen in quite a while, popped up before the eyes of myself and other users.

    <General Notice>

    <<<New Update Announcement!>>>

    <Notice to all Commanders!>

    <We would like to provide information regarding the ‘Planetary Exploration’ event scheduled to take place in 3 days.>

    <‘Planetary Exploration’ Event>

    <Overview>

    ˪<During routine interstellar exploration by unmanned drones, a very interesting discovery was made.>

    ˪<Surprisingly, this discovery revealed a subspace rift near the Commander’s base.>

    ˪<After the base scientists deployed additional drones into the rift to assess the situation…>

    ˪<Inside the subspace rift, amazingly, there exists a planet containing a secret research facility of the Ancient Empire!>

    ˪<Although it’s a peculiar place where day and night exist on the planet despite being in empty space with no apparent source of stellar light…>

    ˪<Intrigued by this bizarre discovery, the base scientists have suggested that the Commander should explore this planet!>

    <Event Procedure Information>

    <This event will proceed as follows:>

    <A ‘Subspace Rift’ will be generated in front of each Commander’s base.>

    <Upon entering through the rift, each Commander will find a randomly generated ‘planet’ in the form of an instant dungeon.>

    <The planet’s natural environment and internal events are completely random.>

    <Find the ‘Ancient Empire’s Secret Research Facility’ located somewhere on the planet and obtain the rewards hidden inside!>

    <Important Notes>

    <The forces that can be deployed for this event are as follows!>

    ˪<Large Ships: 1 vessel>

    ˪<Small Ships: 5 vessels>

    ˪<Superhumans: Unlimited>

    ˪<Superhuman Troops: Maximum 5 units>

    ˪<Assault Troops: Unlimited>

    <Please note that ships larger than ‘Battleship’ class cannot be deployed for this event.>

    “Oh…”

    While the scale seemed smaller than expected, looking at the content, it appeared to be quite a substantial event.

    I don’t know how other users felt, but after seeing that announcement, I was quite satisfied.

    That’s because, although I couldn’t immediately process what the event was about…

    If I had to summarize it, considering that it came at a time when users’ fleets were weakened due to large-scale conflicts…

    It was an event that utilized Superhumans, who most people would still have intact due to their overwhelmingly superior survivability compared to ships.

    It was impossible not to think of it as a user-friendly event.

    And I wasn’t the only one who thought so…

    Title: This event seems pretty good?

    Author: Anonymous

    Content: [Full capture of event message.jpg]

    Just when I’ve barely restored the numbers of my fleet that I lost in that damn war

    An event that doesn’t require using fleets comes at just the right time

    Now I can leisurely level up by hunting pirates or wild space monsters with my fleets during the event period

    Comments:

    -[At this point, did the devs deliberately create this event after seeing the users’ situation? lol]

    -[With that level of fleet deployment, it’s not a fleet but just a squadron]

    -˪[For a single planet, one battleship-class and five destroyer-class ships would be overkill]

    -˪[Yeah, that’s true]

    The reaction was much more positive than expected, showing anticipation for the event.

    And unlike before, since this time the event didn’t come with a “main text” a week later but provided all the explanations upfront…

    Users in the gallery began producing various “analysis posts” much faster than usual, just hours after the event message appeared.

    Of course, as always, most of them were more like garbage posts than actual analysis or information posts.

    Cutting to the chase

    You see that part about deployable forces in this event?

    You might think it’s great that you can deploy unlimited Superhumans and assault troops

    But unless you’re planning to randomly throw assault pods into subspace where base coordinates don’t work, it’s meaningless

    Because the maximum fleet you can deploy is limited to one battleship and five destroyers

    Light cruisers are ambiguous, but obviously not included so let’s discard that

    But destroyers are limited in how many assault units they can deploy due to their size

    And battleship-class… as you all know, the number of assault pods doesn’t increase dramatically from battleship-class up

    Unless it’s a ship with “assault-type” in its name, but those aren’t common

    Plus, as everyone already knows

    To be honest, battleships have fewer assault pods than five destroyers combined

    In my view, this event is about loading as many troops as possible onto five destroyers

    While Superhumans and troops search the planet, the battleship provides orbital bombardment support if enemies appear

    Oh, and the destroyers would do that too, I guess

    Comments:

    -[Ah, is that why everything else is unlimited but Superhuman troops are limited?]

    -˪[Probably? Otherwise users could spam assault troops with only Superhuman soldiers]

    -[About 10-15 Superhumans, 5 Superhuman troops, and dozens of assault pods from all the destroyers combined]

    -[That’s an awkward scale]

    -˪[For real]

    -[It’s set up to be slightly less than the scale we used for planetary assault invasions back when this was a game]

    -˪[We’re going to investigate, not wage war]

    Since quality information posts did occasionally appear like beans in a drought…

    Most ordinary users, including myself, decided to gather as much information as possible from such posts to prepare for the upcoming event.
