Of course, Ignis hadn’t actually been subjected to “five-grain Cocoa Puffs” by the tentacles. At most, she was ambushed while trying to go to the bathroom… it was a kind of overreaction, so it wasn’t really a big problem.

    Meanwhile, at the same time Griyanar and Nero were removing the tentacle monsters and restraining devices that had appeared in the base’s bathrooms.

    I decided to take some time to examine in detail exactly what we had gained from our recent docking with Daedalus.

    Of course, there were quite a few other internal matters that had piled up.

    “Jessica, please handle the victory paperwork for me.”

    “…”

    Since real-world humans say such things should be handled by underlings rather than important people like me.

    Firmly believing that Jessica-mon, who does everything for me, would handle the work this time as well.

    I began looking into various things as planned while Jessica shot daggers at me with her eyes.

    ———-

    First, I looked into the “shipyard,” which is most important for PVP and other activities.

    ‘Wow, wait, it’s increased tremendously.’

    When we docked at Tannhäuser, we only had 5 regular shipyards.

    Only 3 large ship docks, and just ONE so-called “super-large ship shipyard” dreadnought platform that the base possessed on its own.

    When I checked the shipyard while docked at Daedalus, oh my goodness.

    Perhaps it was because the base level differed by 2 stages.

    —————————————–

    <Current Shipyard Status>

    <Regular Shipyards: 8 (5 existing + 3 base support shipyards)>

    <Large Ship Shipyards: 5 (3 existing + 2 base support shipyards)>

    <Dreadnought Platforms: 2 (1 existing + 1 base support shipyard)>

    —————————————–

    ‘Whoooooa.’

    As many as 8 “regular shipyards” that can build up to cruiser-class ships.

    5 “large ship shipyards” for building battleship-class vessels.

    Even the dreadnought platforms increased to 2, which was truly impressive.

    The only disappointing thing was that while Daedalus provided everything else, it didn’t provide “fleet points.”

    If it had provided fleet points appropriate for level 9, it would have been absolutely perfect…

    Unfortunately, it seemed impossible to provide that much due to balance issues.

    And besides the shipyards, there was something very significant since docking with Daedalus.

    Specifically, we now received such a massive amount of resources from docking fees alone that we could completely abandon forward bases or resource harvesting fleets.

    According to Jessica, my “current resource income” was just shy of 10 million, but that was purely from “docking fees” alone.

    When you add up those docking fees plus all the resources I get from bases and other sources…

    ‘Wait, isn’t this too much?’

    I was shocked to realize I was getting at least 11 million per week.

    And since the number of users would only increase from now on rather than decrease, the resource income would grow accordingly…

    ‘Holy moly, holy moly shit.’

    Despite having just upgraded my supply warehouse, pushing my resource storage limit beyond 40 million.

    I faced the shocking realization that even starting from zero resources, it would only take about a month—no, 4 weeks—to fill it completely.

    “This is amazing. It looks like we’ll fill that huge resource warehouse to the brim in just a month.”

    “Well, yes. There’s a reason why we have resources to spare even after drawing new ships including dreadnoughts and building lots of new auxiliary facilities.”

    When I showed my astonishment, our Jessica also exclaimed “whoa” while pausing her work to respond.

    ———-

    And perhaps because the resources gained through docking had become so abundant.

    At this rate, no joke, we might not need resource fleets at all anymore.

    I was even thinking, ‘Damn, is there a way to expand the resource warehouse further?’ but…

    “Commander, you know we still have many places where resources need to be spent, right?”

    “Places for resources?”

    “Yes. Ship construction is fine now since we’ve used up all the points… but soon we’ll need to build new auxiliary facilities, you know?”

    “Ah, right.”

    “And you need to build all those special defense facilities for the base that you’ve been avoiding because they’re annoying, and you haven’t repaired Daedalus’s fortress cannons either.”

    “…Hmm.”

    Hearing Jessica’s continued explanation, I realized she was right, and felt rather conflicted about it.

    “How many functioning fortress cannons do we have right now?”

    “Just one. Two are moderately damaged and won’t be repaired unless you initiate the process, and two are completely destroyed and need to be rebuilt.”

    “Oh…”

    “And the <Large-Scale Ship Modification Facility> currently under construction will be finished in just a few days, so if you want to start new construction… well, you know?”

    “Ugh…”

    “Plus, we’re simultaneously working on Daedalus modifications, so honestly, we’re actually running at a deficit this week and next.”

    After hearing all that, I realized that thinking about expanding the resource warehouse was definitely premature.

    ———-

    Anyway, a few days after that general discussion.

    “Commander, this week’s docking fee collection is complete.”

    “Oh, finally.”

    After hearing that we’d received 11.7 million—slightly less than the 12 million I had expected—specifically 9.3 million minerals and 2.4 million rare resources.

    “Jessi-Jessi, resource status report!”

    “18.5 million minerals and 4.5 million rare resources.”

    “Very good.”

    After confirming these perfectly adequate resource numbers through Jessica, I immediately decided to use some of them to repair Daedalus’s fortress cannons.

    Of course, even with the large amount of resources available, repairing all the destroyed fortress cannons simultaneously would be too much.

    ‘Oh, I forgot about my parts tree here?’

    I decided to first restore one completely destroyed fortress cannon using the effects of the “parts trees” I had created long ago and was using like a botanical garden.

    At the same time, I also started repairing one of the moderately damaged fortress cannons.

    I tried to handle all the various tasks I could simultaneously to use resources as efficiently as possible.

    And after initiating the repair and restoration work on the fortress cannons…

    “Ah, now it’s time for the interest to be deducted every day.”

    “It’s not quite interest, but I see what you mean.”

    Seeing the fees for the “Daedalus modification work” that Griyanar and Nero were busy with being deducted.

    I realized I had nothing special to do now, so I decided to leisurely complete my daily quests.
