Ch.5656. Teio the Tree
by fnovelpia
After spreading a nano-virus in the outskirts to create a Dead Zone (inaccessible area), I officially began my operation to exterminate the orcs.
For the command structure of the monsters deployed in this extermination, I appointed Seri as the commander, assigned one of my royal guards as her aide and staff officer, and finally deployed the newly completed Dragonian to serve as a non-commissioned officer (mid-level commander).

This monster, reborn from a Lizardman by my hand, is a medium-large humanoid sub-dragon monster standing about 3 meters tall.
As mentioned earlier, it stands around 3 meters tall, with a body resembling a bipedal dragon enhanced with numerous physical reinforcement traits and draconic genes.
It has membrane wings on its back resembling those of a dragon, and though slightly less powerful, it has a biological flame thrower in its mouth that can be used like a breath attack.
Additionally, this monster can grow to rank 7 within 10 days of birth, reach mid-tier rank 6 in about a month, and potentially reach rank 5 simply by aging without any special effort.
Of course, there’s the issue that its traits and skills are mostly monotonous due to specialization in basic ability enhancement, but this isn’t a major problem since these creatures have individual consciousness and their souls return to me when they die, allowing them to be resurrected with new bodies.
After all, skills are closer to mentally acquired special abilities, and if traits are really needed, the portion of my intelligence that I’ve separated to manage the Lizardmen can customize them appropriately.
Anyway, with these completed Dragonians as mid-level commanders, I began the orc extermination, which wasn’t particularly difficult.
Most orc tribes had sent the majority of their fighting forces to the army for the Lizardman subjugation campaign, leaving only 1-2 mid-tier warriors to protect their tribes, and those sent out were completely annihilated.
Therefore, the actual fighting force available to an orc tribe consisted of just a few rank 8 or lower orcs who could barely fight, plus one or two mid-tier warriors, which could be wiped out with just a single extermination platoon.
However, this was only the beginning. After our movements became sufficiently known in the surrounding areas, the orcs suddenly began to band together in tribal units to confront us.
Of course, even when united, they weren’t particularly strong, so we simply gathered appropriate forces and crushed their coalition.

Three days after the start of the extermination campaign.
“The last one!”
—Slash!
Thud.
With Seri beheading the last mechanical monster, the orcs of the plains were exterminated without a single survivor.
Well, the actual extermination took two days, with the remaining day spent dealing with the monsters in the kill zone, but that’s beside the point.
Now I needed to make these plains my territory as well.
From the human perspective, it needed to appear as though the Lizardmen had exterminated the orcs through some method, so the plains had to become a jungle like the existing Lizardman territory.
Therefore, I was planning to terraform the entire plains into a jungle starting from underground, when suddenly an idea crossed my mind.
‘…Wouldn’t that work?’
An idea that would provide plausibility for both events: the Lizardmen suddenly growing stronger and pushing back the orcs to expand their territory, and Theseus retreating for unknown reasons.
The idea was to place an appropriate high-ranking monster disguised as having naturally appeared in the jungle, to secure a leadership position among the Lizardmen.
‘Hmm? Not a bad idea.’
Though initially an impulsive thought, upon reflection, this idea had numerous advantages.
As mentioned earlier, it would reduce human suspicion and allow me to delegate the complex and demanding position of Lizardman leader.
Additionally, if created according to my plan, it could terraform the plains alone, and most importantly, I was in a situation where I needed a deliberately created multi-purpose entity.
‘…Alright, let’s do it!’
So I concentrated my cognitive resources that had been allocated to various places to quickly design a monster to realize this idea.
The base monster I used was a plant that had been transformed into a monster and had been diligently supplying me with nutrients through photosynthesis. First, I modified its foundation to turn the plant into a complete monster.
Unlike other monsters that are mostly based on animals, this one had a completely different structure from the beginning, which would normally require tremendous trial and error… but fortunately, I had experience handling plants and all the botanical knowledge accumulated by humanity.
By fully utilizing the computational and cognitive auxiliary brains I had stashed underground somewhere and using information collected indiscriminately from the internet, the plant design was completed even faster than I had anticipated.
As a result, the designed plant monster was set to be born from a seed and grow to rank 1 using the energy I would supply.
Normally, this method would consume more resources and time than simply creating a rank 1 monster, but because the monster I was creating was plant-based, the resource consumption was actually less than usual.
Finally completing the blueprint, I used various methods to insert the design of the plant that would grow into the following form inside the seed:

Teio, the youngest of the Te family, is a plant-type monster resembling the World Tree from fantasy.
With psychic abilities far superior to Theseus, insane defensive capabilities and HP, close combat stats that are average due to size bonuses, and skills that can produce mid-to-high tier monsters in an instant.
Particularly, as a rank 1 natural psychic specialized monster, Teio’s psychic abilities are tremendous, allowing it to manipulate the entire environment within approximately 20km of itself at will.
While it may seem too powerful for a regular monster rather than a boss, this is possible due to fitting penalties.
First, as expected, Teio is a tree deeply rooted in the ground, making it impossible to move from its position. If it were to be caught in an enemy’s concentrated fire, it might die pathetically.
Additionally, Teio has used most of its body’s storage space for these overwhelming combat abilities, traits, and skills, resulting in insufficient energy generation capacity. Fighting at full power alone would lead to self-destruction within 5 minutes.
Of course, it can barely survive on its own photosynthesis during normal times, but that’s the limit. To fully utilize its various abilities, Teio needs far more energy than it can produce, which I plan to supplement.
During normal times, energy will be supplied through dozens of pipes created in underground tunnels, but in emergencies, it will receive energy stored and produced by monsterized trees in the surrounding jungle, like auxiliary batteries.
