Ch.563″The Republic is way too long, to the point of being ridiculous.” (1)
by fnovelpia
About a week later.
The power struggle between clans that had begun two weeks after the event ended was finally coming to a close. Except for a few trolls, the gallery and chat rooms that had been plagued with political maneuvering and propaganda between clans had become incredibly peaceful.

“Now regardless of the area, each clan’s territory has been firmly established…”
“The stabilization happened faster than expected, didn’t it?”
“Well, users get genuinely tired of constant warfare too, no joke.”
“Hmm… that’s certainly true.”
Realizing I wouldn’t have to spend the next few days scouring through that damn gallery to respond to potential lunatics, I quickly closed the gallery window, tossed it into a corner, and stretched with obvious relief.
“Ughhhh… finally I don’t have to see those damn fools’ antics for a while.”
“That’s fortunate. Also, the ship construction you ordered has been completed… would you like to take a look?”
“Oh? It’s already done?”
After expressing my satisfaction, I heard from Jessica that my fleet had been neatly organized. I showed my genuine approval and immediately decided to check on my fleet’s status.
—————————————–
Fleet Status
Total Points: 1,346/1,350 points
Annihilation-type Siege Battleship: 1 ship, 120 points each = 120 points
Assault Combat Aircraft Carrier: 3 ships, 110 points each = 330 points
Dreadnought: 5 ships, 100 points each = 500 points
Aircraft Carrier: 0 ships, 70 points each = 0 points
Arsenal Ship: 1 ship, 70 points = 70 points
Salvage Ship: 1 ship, 50 points = 50 points
Heavy Battleship: 1 ship, 45 points = 45 points
Battleship: 0 ships, 40 points each = 0 points
Subspace Submarine: 1 ship, 50 points = 50 points
Light Aircraft Carrier: 0 ships, 40 points each = 0 points
Cruiser Battleship: 0 ships, 30 points each = 0 points
Heavy Cruiser: 1 ship, 10 points = 10 points
Light Cruiser: 0 ships, 6 points each = 0 points
Destroyer: 53 ships, 3 points each = 159 points
Escort Ship: 0 ships, 1.5 points each = 0 points
Patrol Ship: 0 ships, 1 point each = 0 points
Resource Mining Ship: 8 ships, 1.5 points each = 12 points
—————————————–
Seeing the remaining points like that, I momentarily thought, ‘I should have gone with two Light Cruisers instead of one Heavy Cruiser to match the points exactly.’
But since the ship construction was already complete, undoing it would be a waste of time.
‘Oh well.’
Though it was a shame, I could only nod quietly in acceptance.
And as for the newly constructed 2 Dreadnoughts, 1 Heavy Cruiser, and 30 Destroyers…
“Berial? Is Decarabia with you?”
-“Yes, Commander.”
-“Commaaander? Do you have something for me to dooo?”
“Yeah, I’m going to assign you a fleet composed of just the newly built ships, so proceed with leveling them up.”
-“Me, you meaaan? Hmm, I understaaand.”
“Also, take Dornia and Pashtra with you in the fleet.”
-“I understand Dornia, but Pashtra too?”
“Neither Dornia nor Pashtra have had much to do lately, right? So take them along to relieve some stress while they escort the fleet.”
-“Hmmmm, if it’s your order, Commander, I’ll follow iiit.”
I decided to let Decarabia, who had recently awakened from hibernation and was ‘only’ slow in speech but quick in everything else, lead this fun leveling session as commander.
Of course, given the ships’ low proficiency, there was a decent chance they’d struggle even against pirates.
-“Ahahahaha! What a splendid party♡”
-“Hnngh, hyaaaah!”
-KWAAANG! PUNG!
“How flashy.”

For those low-proficiency ships, I deployed Pashtra, who was approaching level 70 after surpassing level 60, and Dornia, who had exceeded level 40.
And so, the unaffiliated pirate friends who appeared with level scaling matching the fleet’s level due to system allowances were reportedly torn to shreds.
==========
While watching this hopeful and touching growth story of a level 1 fleet becoming a high-level fleet under Decarabia’s leisurely command…

When I opened the chat room after hearing the notification sound…
“They’ve added more.”
“…What is this, some medieval noble title? What are they doing?”
Seeing those damn modifiers in front of “Icarus Republic” growing longer with each passing day, I felt that if I left this unchecked, it would reach the pinnacle of absurdity.
And of course, I wasn’t about to ignore such an intuition.
So I put down the command console I had picked up to oversee Decarabia’s pirate massacre, pulled up the “chat room” I had just opened in front of me, and decided to leave a message in the most calm tone possible.

The users’ reactions were quite mundane yet somehow satisfying.
