Meanwhile, as I was chatting about various small matters and handling miscellaneous tasks…

Jessica, who had been carrying out my orders to secure the “escort outposts” near Daedalus, returned and brought up a very important matter.

    “Oh right, Commander?”

    “What is it, Jessi-Jessi?”

“Our base’s level 10 upgrade has been completed!”

    “…Huh?”

And the moment I showed a blank reaction to her words…

As if saying “Yes, yes, your base really did reach level 10,” a construction completion message popped up before my eyes with a cheerful chime, something I hadn’t seen in a very long time.

On top of that, let’s look at the ridiculously expensive auxiliary buildings due to level scaling.

It seemed like the game developers were increasingly pushing players toward gameplay involving “clans” or docking at outposts as they progressed.

But since that wasn’t the important thing right now, I quietly tucked that thought away in a corner of my brain.

Instead, I decided to spend some time enjoying pleasant thoughts about what to build next.

Of course, if someone had been watching my situation, they would have noticed by now…

“By the way, Commander, I have something additional to report.”

    “What is it?”

“We consumed too many resources yesterday rushing to subdue Daedalus and the surrounding airspace, so we can’t build any of those buildings right now.”

“…How much do we have left?”

“250,000 minerals and 70,000 rare resources.”

“That’s not going to be easy.”

    That’s right.

While other players were distracted beating up Grand Cross, we had successfully expanded the territory of the most noble (omitted) Republic by gobbling up Daedalus and the surrounding outposts.

However, because we hired a large number of mercenaries to accomplish this, we suffered the catastrophe of having only 1/100th of our resources remaining from what had been over 30 million.

As a result, unlike before, despite completing our base upgrade…

We couldn’t immediately build new auxiliary buildings and could only stare blankly at the situation.

    ==========

Fortunately, we didn’t actually end up just killing time doing nothing…

That’s because now that the base had reached level 10…

The system I had learned about through a message quite some time ago—”every 5 base levels, one superhuman is randomly released from cryosleep”—was activated.

Consequently, through the door of the command center where Jessica and I were, a superhuman who was supposedly released from cryosleep made their appearance.

    And who appeared was…

    -Thud thud… THUMP!

“Hellooo, Commander? It’s beeeeen a really long time.”

    “Decarabia, is it?”

“It’s been a while, Ms. Decarabia.”

“Yaaawn, Jessica, hellooo to you too.”

Speaking with words stretched out incredibly looong, with an expression suggesting everything was boring—a woman with a short ponytail wearing a coat.

<SS-Rank Army Command-type Superhuman “Decarabia” Released from Cryosleep>

    —————————————–

Though it wasn’t particularly intended, an extremely rare SS-rank “commander” superhuman named “Decarabia” had appeared at our base.

To be precise, it’s not that I didn’t have any commander-type superhumans under me.

But most of them were more like mercenary band leaders rather than being completely under my command, so they couldn’t command my fleet.

So it would be accurate to say that Decarabia was like Berial, who could operate my fleet independently.

And apart from that, Decarabia overlapped with Berial in many conceptual aspects.

For example, Berial, besides commanding fleet battles, when deployed in actual combat…

Would fight using combat “dolls” that she controlled.

Along with those dolls, she herself would also fight using guns, swords, and sometimes even hand-to-hand combat, making her a true all-rounder.

Similarly, Decarabia would command fleet battles and fight well herself when deployed in combat.

Like Berial, she preferred a combat style that utilized “subordinates.”

Of course, to be precise, Decarabia had distinctive features that differentiated her from Berial…

    Title: SS-Rank Superhuman Decarabia Review

    Author: Wiki Historian mk-19

    Content: [Decarabia’s concept art.jpg]

Hey everyone, thanks for all your hard work writing about superhumans.

This review is about the SS-rank superhuman Decarabia, and to be honest, there isn’t much difference from the previously written “Berial” (hyperlink).

More precisely, if you exclude the inevitable spec differences due to the SSS vs SS rank gap,

    The level is surprisingly similar.

But regardless, Decarabia has established her own position as what you might call a “staple” superhuman, unlike Berial who is SSS-rank and difficult to obtain.

The reason is that Decarabia, apart from her own fleet command buff, also provides small buffs to superhumans.

To be precise, she applies them to “fleets or assault units,” but if you assign superhumans to fleets and assault units, they’ll receive the buffs too, so no problem.

Of course, given her rank and the fact that she’s already a commander-type character who provides both fleet buffs and superhuman buffs simultaneously,

Each individual buff is significantly weaker compared to Berial or other support-type superhumans mentioned above.

The important thing is that when you would normally need to use at least one superhuman from each different category—command, support, and assault—

With Decarabia, you can use all three tactical approaches at once, albeit with lower peak performance.

    Comments:

-[So Decarabia alone covers the basics?]

    -˪[Yes, absolutely] (Author)

-[Feels exactly like a budget version of Berial]

-[Simply put, she’s like a 50-50 mix of budget Berial and budget Griyanar]

-˪[Oh, that’s the most plausible description]

-[Her own combat ability barely makes the lower end of SS-rank, so she’s truly what you’d call an all-rounder]

    -[She’s not without flaws though]

    -˪[What’s the issue?]

-˪[Besides the low buff peaks mentioned in the main text, when she enters combat herself, the fleet buff automatically dissipates]

    -˪[What?]

-˪[So the fleet buff and superhuman buff don’t work simultaneously. You can only use one or the other]

    -˪[Oh that sucks]

-˪[If both worked at once, Decarabia couldn’t stay at SS-rank lol. She’d either be promoted to SSS-rank or get nerfed to oblivion]

    -˪[Yeah, that’s fair]

    —————————————–

‘Oh good, it’s not much different from what I remember.’

As the explanatory text showed, our word-stretching champion Decarabia was literally a superhuman who played a kind of “middle” role.

“Now that Ms. Decarabia is here, Berial’s days of suffering alone are over.”

“Yes, that’s right. Berial will be very happy.”

“Hmmmm, I’ll dooo my beeeest, Commander.”

Nodding at Decarabia, who still wore a bored expression, I decided to welcome our new recruit… no.

I decided to welcome Decarabia, our experienced newcomer, with open arms.
