For various overlapping reasons, the Central Zone users had been going through quite a painful time…

But no matter the situation, it seemed the users weren’t completely brainless.

    <This is a public anonymous chat room.>

<Let’s all use polite and proper language to maintain etiquette.>

    -[Waaaaaah]

-[Let’s be honest, if we continue like this, we’re all dead]

-[Even if the admins try to be reasonable, yeah]

-[We need some kind of solution]

-[At first I thought it was hilarious watching the base alliance groups get screwed]

-[<Image of a user’s base destroyed after being caught in Grand Cross’s bombardment range.jpg>]

-[My perspective changed after getting hit directly]

    -[Lolololol;;]

    —————————————–

…Or perhaps it was because the Grand Cross’s main cannon—dreaming of equality for all and the abolition of class systems—was indiscriminately roasting both solo player bases and alliance strongholds alike.

The end result was that users came to a common agreement: “Let’s not fight and get along.”

While thinking, “You could have said that before half the Central Zone alliance bases were blown away,” I shed tears watching these Central Zone jokesters belatedly setting aside their love-hate relationships and anger to come together.

However, even though they somehow managed to gather opinions, I realized there was another major problem.

    “There’s one big problem here.”

    “What would that be, Commander?”

“There’s no user to lead these jokesters.”

    “…”

As the gallery users mentioned earlier, they may be grouped as one zone, but internally, they’re in complete chaos. Who on earth would lead such users if they were gathered together?

So as I watched the situation unfold, I decided to press X to pay my respects in advance to whoever might become the commander of the Central Zone user alliance.

But about 30 minutes after having such thoughts…

Originally, the prevailing opinion was that someone who had experience running a clan would be best

But the actual parties involved—Freedom Legion and other clans—refused, saying it was too burdensome

Then the opinion emerged that since Raksha had the highest ranking among individual users, Raksha should lead

But Raksha personally refused, saying they couldn’t handle command duties, leaving the commander position vacant

So naturally, Icarus, who has the next highest ranking and is technically an individual but actually a faction, was forcibly appointed as commander

Of course, nobody actually discussed this with the person in question

Because they thought he might run away if they did

    Comments:

    -[What’s with that last part]

-[Icarus was already about to lose his mind just from being the Central Zone leader with an armband, and now he has to be a raid party leader too?]

-˪[Such is the fate of our President]

    -˪[Crazy]

    -[What the hell?](Icarus)

    -˪[Ohhh our Commander]

    -˪[Lead us, Mr. President]

-˪[Look at Icarus’s fanatics popping up again]

-[What’s with the comments above, are they really fanatics?]

-˪[Not really, they’re just teasing because Icarus really hates that kind of stuff]

-˪[Are you guys bullying the outcast;;]

    —————————————–

“Why does everyone always do this to me?”

“It’s because there’s no one else who can replace you, Commander. Congratulations on your promotion.”

    “Arggghhhh!!”

Perhaps because I hadn’t expected that I would be chosen as the person in charge.

I could feel tears welling up in my eyes without even realizing it.

But obviously, just because they forcibly appointed me there didn’t mean I had any reason to eagerly accept it.

As a result, the users who somehow gathered together continued their marathon meeting to figure out what they should do…

There’s no more right of refusal

    Comments:

    -[What’s this?]

-[Wasn’t Icarus decided as the commander?]

    -˪[Nope](Author)

-[What the hell did you guys do?]

-[Can’t you even agree on a raid party leader?]

    -˪[1st commander selected-bounced-2nd commander selected from rankers-bounced-3rd commander-bounced]

-˪[It kept bouncing like that until finally someone couldn’t withstand the pressure from veteran users]

    -[Damn lololololol]

    —————————————–

After all the major clan leaders from the Central Zone, as well as Raksha, myself, and other clan users all refused one after another…

The result was that Snow Leopard, ranked 14th and the leader of a small clan, was forcibly appointed as commander.

Seeing this, I nodded my head in approval, which made Jessica tilt her head in confusion.

    “Commander, why did you refuse?”

“Let me put it differently—why should I have accepted it?”

“Well, judging from how you usually command, I felt you could have accepted and carried it out quite well?”

“I appreciate the kind words, but it’s a burdensome position for me.”

    ==========

And so, through various twists and turns, and under semi-forced yet democratic procedures…

Finally, a raid party leader was selected to raid the Grand Cross in the Central Zone.

<Announcement: Our leader is Snow Leopard!>

    -[Finally got someone]

    -[Fuck you guys](Snow Leopard)

-[Commander, please give us your orders]

-[So what do we do now?]

-[Obviously we need to prepare for the raid now](Snow Leopard)

    -[Lolololololol]

    -[Oh shit]

    -[It’s been a long wait]

-[Where do we gather our fleets?]

    -[Still deciding, so wait](Snow Leopard)

-[My base is getting raided, damn it]

    —————————————–

Looking at the chaotic Central raid chat room, users including myself were expressing great satisfaction.

With a feeling of “For the Central Zone, this is quite an impressive effort!”

Of course, this kind of thing only applied to our Central Zone users.

As for how the healthy and bright users from other zones felt about this…

Content: [Image of an incredibly complex internal power structure diagram, with equally complex command hierarchy.jpg]

The Central Zone only managed to select a commander after two level 5 bases and fifteen level 3 or lower bases were destroyed

As you can see, the actual command in the Central Zone is being handled by mid-tier clan leaders and top rankers like Raksha and Icarus

    What this means is

Snow Leopard isn’t actually in overall command, but rather serves as a sort of biological terminal that takes in opinions from Raksha, Icarus, clan leaders

And representatives of users who aren’t clans but are treated as factions in the Central Zone alliance, and then puts them into action

    Yeah

So if you look now, you’ll see all the aforementioned users, clans, and factions lurking behind him as operations proceed

    Comments:

-[Why are they going to such lengths?]

    -[This is too much slander]

-[Those are just advisors, like staff officers]

-˪[Since when do staff officers tell the commander what to do from behind?]

    -˪[What is this;;]

-[Come on, if you’re going to criticize, criticize something more legitimate]

-[But it is a hard-to-understand approach, couldn’t they just control things appropriately among themselves?]

-˪[If that were possible, the Central Zone wouldn’t be in this state]

    -˪[That’s true]

    —————————————–

They seemed to be having a hard time understanding the situation in many ways.
