For various overlapping reasons, the Central Zone users had been going through quite a painful time…

But no matter the situation, it seemed the users weren’t completely brainless.

…Or perhaps it was because the Grand Cross’s main cannon—dreaming of equality for all and the abolition of class systems—was indiscriminately roasting both solo player bases and alliance strongholds alike.

The end result was that users came to a common agreement: “Let’s not fight and get along.”

While thinking, “You could have said that before half the Central Zone alliance bases were blown away,” I shed tears watching these Central Zone jokesters belatedly setting aside their love-hate relationships and anger to come together.

However, even though they somehow managed to gather opinions, I realized there was another major problem.

“There’s one big problem here.”

“What would that be, Commander?”

“There’s no user to lead these jokesters.”

“…”

As the gallery users mentioned earlier, they may be grouped as one zone, but internally, they’re in complete chaos. Who on earth would lead such users if they were gathered together?

So as I watched the situation unfold, I decided to press X to pay my respects in advance to whoever might become the commander of the Central Zone user alliance.

But about 30 minutes after having such thoughts…

Originally, the prevailing opinion was that someone who had experience running a clan would be best

But the actual parties involved—Freedom Legion and other clans—refused, saying it was too burdensome

Then the opinion emerged that since Raksha had the highest ranking among individual users, Raksha should lead

But Raksha personally refused, saying they couldn’t handle command duties, leaving the commander position vacant

So naturally, Icarus, who has the next highest ranking and is technically an individual but actually a faction, was forcibly appointed as commander

Of course, nobody actually discussed this with the person in question

Because they thought he might run away if they did

Perhaps because I hadn’t expected that I would be chosen as the person in charge.

I could feel tears welling up in my eyes without even realizing it.

But obviously, just because they forcibly appointed me there didn’t mean I had any reason to eagerly accept it.

After all the major clan leaders from the Central Zone, as well as Raksha, myself, and other clan users all refused one after another…

The result was that Snow Leopard, ranked 14th and the leader of a small clan, was forcibly appointed as commander.

Seeing this, I nodded my head in approval, which made Jessica tilt her head in confusion.

“Commander, why did you refuse?”

“Let me put it differently—why should I have accepted it?”

“Well, judging from how you usually command, I felt you could have accepted and carried it out quite well?”

“I appreciate the kind words, but it’s a burdensome position for me.”

Finally, a raid party leader was selected to raid the Grand Cross in the Central Zone.

Looking at the chaotic Central raid chat room, users including myself were expressing great satisfaction.

With a feeling of “For the Central Zone, this is quite an impressive effort!”

The Central Zone only managed to select a commander after two level 5 bases and fifteen level 3 or lower bases were destroyed

As you can see, the actual command in the Central Zone is being handled by mid-tier clan leaders and top rankers like Raksha and Icarus

What this means is

Snow Leopard isn’t actually in overall command, but rather serves as a sort of biological terminal that takes in opinions from Raksha, Icarus, clan leaders

And representatives of users who aren’t clans but are treated as factions in the Central Zone alliance, and then puts them into action

Yeah

So if you look now, you’ll see all the aforementioned users, clans, and factions lurking behind him as operations proceed
