-Professor Mahabharata (Shapeshifter, Dragon Guardian)(1st Year Student Advisor)

    -Lecture: Advanced Class Homeroom

    -Classification: Common, Advanced Class

    Monday 2nd Period (11:00-13:00)

-Professor Bronze De Estra (Righteous Thief, Human)

-Lecture: Developing an Eye (1st, 2nd Year)

    -Classification: Adventure Department, Liberal Arts

    Lunch (13:00-14:00)

    Monday 3rd Period (14:00-16:00)

    -Professor Warerd (Druid, Dryad)

-Lecture: Basics and Understanding of Mana Usage

    -Classification: Magic Department, Liberal Arts

I fill Monday with three consecutive lectures.

Unless you’re a college student who spends weekends drinking, this is a natural schedule for an academy student!

‘If you want to enjoy club activities too, it’s better to concentrate your lectures on a few days of the week!’

The Monday concentration meta is the wisest choice.

“Oh my. Are you taking full-time lectures until 4th period on Monday? That’s a tough schedule.”

“But Arcadia, you’ve filled your schedule too.”

“I’m 17 and Miss Oknodie is 11. This much is easy for a 17-year-old.”

Arcadia, who attended a different lecture during the same time slot.

The 4th period lecture where I met her was, surprisingly, the Knight Department’s liberal arts course <Mastery of Ranged Weapons>.

Arcadia is a supporting character notorious for acquiring random skills as much as her random fashion.

Her abilities change arbitrarily with each playthrough.

-Arcadia had naval swordsmanship and marksmanship in the previous playthrough when I recruited her, but where did all her combat skills go? What’s with the shopping skill and why is her dance skill so high?

-LOL newbie got screwed, thought he was getting combat Arcadia but got social Arcadia instead

-Arcadia’s primary and secondary skills change randomly each playthrough. With high shopping and dance, she’ll be useful for black market events and social events haha

-I took her on a ship, so what’s she doing during naval events?

-Maybe… entertainment? She could probably do that if asked?

    -Cheerleader Arcadia LOL

    -Cheerleader Arcadia LOL

It’s no exaggeration to say that veterans make a regular sport of gathering to mock newbies who are confused by Arcadia’s changing abilities!

    “What can you handle, Arcadia?”

“Hoho. Don’t be surprised when you hear this. I can handle a ‘gun’!”

    “Oh.”

    I got combat Arcadia.

…or so I’d like to think, but something feels off.

This person had extremely high charisma in this playthrough.

She’s even acting as the spiritual pillar for the Group A girls.

She must have skills related to <Politics> or <Command>.

I thought she was commander Arcadia, but if she’s also combat Arcadia, isn’t that too many skills?

‘More is only better when the total increases.’

NPCs generally have fixed total skill points.

Some start with a total of 3,000 skill experience, others with 10,000.

While there are limits to their totals, most cannot exceed their predetermined skill experience cap.

    ‘Jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none Arcadia would be troublesome!’

Veteran players have agreed to call characters who aren’t specialized in anything “trash characters”!

    * *

The professor for <Mastery of Ranged Weapons> was a half-human half-demon beastkin who looked like a natural archer.

Unfortunately, not a bipedal horse girl but a quadrupedal centaur.

Centaurs, known for producing many heroes recorded in continental history, are famous as a heroic race, and this professor is a magnificent female warrior.

    Clop clop

As the professor, who was no different from a living hero, entered the classroom with the sound of hooves, one student muttered.

“How does someone that size use the bathroom?”

    “!!”

The students fell into serious contemplation.

Oknodie was also lost in imagination.

‘I never thought about it in the game, but I’m really curious now. How do they use the bathroom?’

    Do they have special bathrooms?

“Young pillars of the continent, pleased to meet you. I am Professor EveningShooter, who will teach you Mastery of Ranged Weapons for the next few months.”

    “The bathroom must really…”

    “…a stable would be most…”

    “…surely special facilities…”

The students were slow to regain their senses after the shocking topic, even as the professor greeted them.

Professor EveningShooter, without changing expression, gripped her bow and drew the string without an arrow.

    <EveningShooter>

    <Rapid Fire>

    <Magic Arrow>

    Pababababat

    Thwack thwack thwack!

    “Ack!”

    “Ugh!”

    “Ouch!”

Students who were hit in the forehead by the rapidly flying magic arrows shed tears.

Having narrowly avoided it with my heart pounding, EveningShooter gave me a look that said ‘You dodged it?’

I was afraid she might concentrate a dozen shots on me as if to say “try dodging this too,” but fortunately, she seemed satisfied with the impact on the other students and lowered her bow.

“As you can see, mastery of ranged weapons allows you to discipline students who don’t focus on lectures, and can also terrify enemies who let their guard down.”

The professor, now in a better mood, began the lecture.

“In this course, you will learn how to use ranged weapons in various situations.”

“Bow, gun, crossbow, sling, blowgun. You will acquire the skills and wisdom needed to achieve your goals with any weapon.”

“Those who achieve the goal pass the test. You may leave immediately or stay until the end of the lecture to continue individual training.”

In the spacious outdoor training ground.

To prevent accidents from stray shots during training, several instructors were assigned to assist with Professor EveningShooter’s lecture.

Unfortunately, Arcadia wasn’t in the line of archers that I scurried to join.

“Gyahaha! Ranged weapons are all about guns. Can I shoot? Can I shoot everything?”

Thankfully, the crazy pirate Zigoku with her gun wasn’t there either.

I made the right choice with the bow.

Just as I was feeling relieved, a student in another line beckoned to me.

“What’s an assassin doing with a bow? Come throw daggers with me!”

“…No thanks. I’m sticking with the bow.”

The masked assassin Zhang showed clear disappointment in his eyes.

Hmph. Who’s he calling an assassin?

“Now, the archer group, take your bows and stand at the line. There will be a demonstration by a skilled instructor for beginners.”

Brief basic education followed, covering stance, breathing methods, and aiming techniques.

“Trainees who haven’t mastered the basic stance will continue basic training, while skilled ones will aim to hit targets displayed through magic goggles.”

Of course, my archery experience, rapidly improved through intensive training in butler Jona’s training ground, wasn’t so poor as to be held back by basics.

Unlike most students who chose light bows made of manageable materials appropriate for their size and arm strength.

I chose a ridiculously heavy bow with high tension, a longbow with a draw weight of over 45kg, also known as <Great Knight’s Killing Range>.

    “Look at that little one.”

“She’s holding a bow as heavy as her own weight.”

“Isn’t she lighter than the bow? Hehe.”

The imperial nobles made no effort to hide their mockery.

To those who had experience with bows at their family’s annual hunting events, my actions must have seemed ridiculous.

Even the instructor was surprised by my choice and said something.

“First-year Oknodie. There’s no need to choose such a heavy bow. This target isn’t an armored knight in full plate.”

“I’m just used to this weight.”

    Stretch.

As I draw the bow, my arm muscles tense up too.

    Yes, this is it.

A bow should have high tension to be worth using.

What good is plinking around with a tiny shortbow? What use would that be?

    Swoosh-

    Ping-.

Unlike the toy-like arrows that wobbled up and down when they hit the target, the arrow I nocked made a distinctly different sound as the tension built.

Creak, the arrow aimed at the target, and I released.

    Whooosh-

    THWACK-!

I not only hit the target but destroyed it.

The upper body of the target folded in half and fell off, causing the imperial noble students who had been sneering beside me to stare in disbelief.

“What were you saying earlier? I couldn’t hear because I was concentrating.”

“N-nothing. Just that you’re good with a bow.”

“Is she a monster…? Is she really half-orc?”

Seeing the dumbfounded students made me feel completely satisfied.

    Heheh.

When I’m holding a bow, you’d better not mess with me.

    * *

“Instructor, do you have a ballista?”

“The flower of naval warfare is the ship’s cannon, so why aren’t there any cannons? I want to show off my artillery skills!”

    “Gyahaha! Shoot, shoot, shoot!”

While instructors in charge of other groups suffered with unreasonable students, their expressions souring.

The archery instructor who was in charge of the bow students rushed to a spot he had been eyeing as soon as the shooting ended and break time began.

“Wow. What is this? It’s completely destroyed.”

The target wasn’t so fragile that it would break apart just from being shot with arrows.

Yet the upper body of the target was completely shredded.

If a real person had been hit, the arrow would have pierced through armor in an instant and torn the upper body to shreds.

“Professor EveningShooter. Take a look at this.”

“A Power shot. Did I assign an instructor who’s doing his own practice instead of teaching students?”

    “It wasn’t me.”

“Then you’re saying a student shot this?”

    “First-year Oknodie’s target, ma’am.”

Professor EveningShooter fell into contemplation at the evidence of a target shot by a first-year.

This wasn’t the kind of power you’d see from someone who just dabbled with a bow at parent-accompanied hunting competitions.

“The 981st advanced class shows many heroic qualities. A descendant of the divine archer, a master of dagger techniques, a shooting prodigy, and now a mighty archer.”

    Professor EveningShooter smiled with satisfaction.

“I can raise the difficulty level for the next lecture. Let’s move up the lecture scheduled for three weeks from now.”

The lecture difficulty jumped up significantly.

Only the students who would suffer for taking the same class as Oknodie were to be pitied.
