Ch.516The Madman Strategy Works Sometimes and Doesn’t Other Times (2)

‘Hmm, that does make sense.’
And as if to drive that point home even further.
Not long after Jessica made that comment, we could see similar posts gradually creeping up in the gallery.

Title: They’re using Leviathan again over there

Now 3rd place is basically a one-trick like 10th place ㅉㅉ
Beyond a one-trick ship, it’s a one-trick fleet
Comments:
-[Whatever the crisis, it’s always Leviathan one-trick~ Mercenary one-trick~]
-[But isn’t it too early for Leviathan one-trick jokes when Icarus only got Leviathan recently?]
-˪[If it’s been over a month, that’s old news](Author)
-˪[What a strange templar]
-[He has too many slander nicknames to really be called a one-trick;;;]

Title: Like the post above says, Icarus does have strong one-trick tendencies
Author: Anonymous

It’s not wrong
But Kraken one-trick I could understand, but Leviathan one-trick?
Isn’t it too early to make that judgment?
It hasn’t even been 1-2 months since the Leviathan Fleet surrendered to Icarus
Comments:
-[Has it really been that short?]
-[It feels like it’s been longer]
-˪[Hasn’t the Leviathan Fleet been in Icarus’s territory longer?]
-˪[I’m talking about the surrender period](Author)
-˪[If you include the time they escaped from Humanity territory, destroyed the Dreadnought and crashed in, it’s been longer](Author)
-˪[Shouldn’t we include that too then?]
-[It hasn’t been as long as I thought]

…Anyway, besides posts like these, various other opinions were popping up.
Though these were still relatively minor opinions, if things went wrong…
I thought there was a high possibility that I could end up like Monalisa, who despite having rank-worthy skills, keeps getting criticized for being a one-trick with her ship.
Plus, my treatment has always been somewhat awkward compared to other rankers…
As Jessica pointed out, it was true that I had been relying heavily on the Leviathan Fleet lately, whether I realized it or not.
If I wasn’t careful, opinions like “You’re trash without your Leviathan, you loser” might spread both inside and outside.
And the reality was that such terrible opinions wouldn’t just come from “one or two” people, but potentially from dozens, hundreds…
No, my calculations showed an extremely high probability that thousands of jokesters would cause all sorts of trouble.
And while I was thinking about this, Jessica said:
“Besides, Commander, you don’t actually have that strong of a mentality.”
“…”
“Can you purely ignore the chatter of thousands of other people?”
“That’s a very valid point.”
She drove her point home.
Nodding at Jessica’s words, I decided to send the Leviathan Fleet back to their home.
And to replace the Leviathan Fleet that would be vacating their position…
“Berial, Tiamat.”
-“Awaiting your orders, Commander.”
-“All the Krakens are ready!”
“As soon as all the superhuman troops from the base are loaded, lead the entire fleet and launch.”
-“Yes, Commander.”
-“Understood.”
I decided to personally teach those rebels a lesson and protect my self-respect from those who just run their mouths.
Of course, I wasn’t going to bring just my fleet.
I told Jessica that I wanted to bring not only my main force but also the mercenaries and the ‘faction delegation’ as well.
“And Jessica? Bring everyone else too, all my direct subordinates and the outpost mercenaries.”
“Okay.”
“Oh right, and lastly, bring Princess Luca’s hobby fleet too.”
“Uh… the hobby fleet too?”
“Yes, isn’t that obvious?”
When I mentioned bringing the hobby fleet, which was the ‘faction delegation’, at the end.
For some reason, Jessica suddenly looked confused.
More than just confused, she soon made a statement that went beyond what I had said:
“Should I ask Marian to deploy the Armada and the rest of the Pirate Alliance fleet as well?”
“No, why would you do that?”
“Oh, so you’re only taking the hobby fleet? I’ll let them know then.”
“There’s no need to state the obvious.”
Fortunately, after hearing me, Jessica nodded and immediately relayed the message to Princess Luca via communication.
But I couldn’t help but tilt my head in confusion as to why our Jessica would say such things when I clearly said to bring all my direct subordinates.
…Although I would soon understand why she reacted that way.
But that was a story for a little later, so for now, I was just left wondering.
==========
Anyway, after making all possible preparations.
With three beautiful Dreadnoughts at the forefront, and the main force in the middle with the three Kraken brothers, Urong, and Hvelgi.
“Each fleet, report status.”
-“This is Rhodos Mercenary, all ships normal~”
-“Avalonia Security Fleet, ready for deployment.”
-“Lemings Assault Team, ready to flank and strike at any time.”
-“Me-Mekarschetentakel, I’ll do a-anything.”
The outpost and direct mercenary groups led by four mercenary leaders.
And finally…
<<“Commander Icarus, the Princess asks that you please refrain from blowing up her babies.”>>
“Ah, um.”
<<“She says if you turn her hobby fleet into what used to be a fleet one more time, she’ll never lend them to you again.”>>
“Hmm… I’ll try my best.”
The ‘faction delegation’ that arrived with Oxianor’s intense warning right from the start.
Seeing all the fleets I could mobilize gathered in front of Tannhäuser,
I felt truly moved, remembering how just 1-2 years ago, I was struggling desperately against fleets of this size.
Moreover, while other users might worry about how to defend against home invasions when taking all their forces,
‘We have the outpost defense fleet and the Pirate Alliance fleet! What is there to fear!’
Even if I took all my forces, the base would be protected by Tannhäuser’s solid outpost defense fleet docked there, and…
-“Booooo”
“Hmm.”
-“That’s not fair, big brother.”
“Hmm.”
-“Why are you taking the monster fleet but not my fleet and me!”
“You’re pregnant, shouldn’t you be taking better care of yourself?”
Marian’s Pirate Alliance fleet (which is strong) was complaining with puffed cheeks about being left out again.
With such reliable friends protecting my base, I looked around the base perimeter to check the situation.
‘Excellent!’
Thinking this was perfect, I nodded and immediately ordered the launch to have a pleasant meeting time with the B554 friends who had started a rebellion(?).
==========
Meanwhile, at the same time our Icarus was leading his entire fleet to launch.
The Date Palm Clan at B554 base was already in a state of panic and couldn’t even think of the word ‘surrender’…

Holy shit, 3 Krakens and 3 Dreadnoughts for real?
And even the special ships add up to exactly 3
As expected of 3rd place, he’s matching everything in sets of 3
Comments:
-[Man of threes;;]
-[lololol 3 Dreadnoughts, 3 Krakens, and 3 special ships]
-[It can’t be easy to match everything like that]
-[But are all the others destroyers except for one? Did he even bring resource mining fleets?]
-˪[Looking at the weapons on those destroyers, they seem to be regular destroyers, not transport types]
-[The amazing thing is if you remove either the heavy cruiser or battleship from there, the destroyers combined also divide by 3]
-˪[Oh shit?]
-˪[It’s true]
-˪[How is this possible]
—————————————–
On top of that, hearing that Icarus wasn’t just mobilizing mercenaries but coming personally to beat them up.
Date Palm, the clan leader who belatedly regained his senses, finally thought of the word ‘surrender’ and tried to put it into action.
But unlike Date Palm who had come to his senses, the other users were not in the same state…
