    Ch.4Hero Agency (4)

The dormitory was great in every way. The living room was naturally spacious, and there were even two rooms large enough for three people to comfortably share.

It’s a bit disappointing that I can’t have my own private space, but if it’s this spacious, I can tolerate that much.

“But how should we arrange the rooms…?”

Leo put his hand on his chin and began to contemplate.

“Can’t we just divide it with two men and two women?”

“Would you mind looking in a mirror for a moment?”

“…I think I look normal enough.”

I originally thought I looked decent, but thanks to the people in front of me, my perspective has changed.

It’s really unfairly unbalanced. Those people are both good-looking and incredibly talented, while the only thing I have over them is my personality.

But since their personalities are excessively bizarre, my personality only seems better in comparison, so ultimately, I have no advantages to speak of.

Anyway, Agath suddenly spewed out some disgusting words.

“Are you trying to seduce men on your first day after being TS’d? You’ve already become a depraved female.”

“Why would I disgustingly try to seduce men…?”

I realized what Leo meant when he told me to look in the mirror.

There aren’t two men and two women here, but one man, two women, and one man who’s been TS’d into a woman.

“No, that’s not what I meant… Anyway, I’m still a man mentally, so I’ll share a room with Leo.”

“But if a male and a female are in the same room, something serious might happen, right? So share a room with me instead.”

“Even if I look like a woman on the outside, I’m still a man inside, so it would be awkward to share a room with you all.”

No matter how much my body has changed to female, my inner self is still male, so I’m more comfortable with the same gender than the opposite.

But in my current physical state, how should I interpret what “same gender” means? Mentally I’m a man… but physically I’m a woman. It’s really ambiguous…

“It’s okay, I’ll kindly make you into a proper female. So let’s share…”

“Can’t I just move out of the room?”

Leo snapped his fingers as if he’d found the answer.

There are many ways to solve this kind of problem, but the most definitive solution is to eliminate the possibility of the problem occurring in the first place.

But is this issue serious enough to warrant moving out?

“Since I’m a man inside anyway, can’t we just share a room?”

“Then what about when changing clothes?”

    “We just change, right?”

Is showing underwear a big deal among men? When I was in the dormitory, there were plenty of guys who just walked around in their underwear.

“Please… just look in the mirror.”

“This is definitely begging to be pounced on, right? Right?”

Men showing each other their underwear…

    …Oh.

I was already aware that I had changed into a woman due to the changes in my voice and body. But my life as a man is so deeply ingrained that I simply cannot adapt to this changed body.

I probably won’t be able to adapt to this body for the rest of my life.

“But if I use that room alone, where will you stay, Leo?”

“I’ll have to live in the living room, I guess.”

“You kept pointing out privacy issues to me, but it’s okay for you?”

“I’m fine because I’m a man both physically and mentally.”

Leo casually dropped that comment and started moving his belongings out of the room.

    …I won, but I lost.

“I have quite a lot of stuff, could you help me?”

Leo’s voice came from that room.

“Sure. But how much could there be…oh…”

The room, which was spacious enough for three people to live comfortably, was filled with all kinds of books and papers, leaving no space to step except for the bed and desk.

    “…What is all this?”

    “Traces of my magic research.”

I picked up one of the papers scattered messily on the floor and saw what looked like a magic circle diagram.

If he studied this much, wouldn’t his magic be stronger than the Holy Sword?

“By the way, what’s your level as a mage?”

    “At best, I’d say I’m around a High-Rank Mage.”

“How impressive is a High-Rank Mage?”

“They’re about one in 100 million.”

“Then you could easily drop a meteor from the sky and wipe out an entire city, right?”

Suddenly my expectations for Leo skyrocketed. If he could use both that level of magic and the Holy Sword…

No, even just using magic would be powerful enough.

“I could drop a meteor with about two years of preparation… but it would be easily stopped.”

    “…It takes two years?”

“Even an Archmage would need at least five months.”

The Archmage I knew was a being comparable to an entire nation who could easily drop meteors…

Maybe dropping meteors is just that difficult, but other magic might be fine.

“Then what kind of magic do you mainly use in battle?”

“Why would I use magic in battle?”

    “…Why can’t you?”

“I can, but drawing even a basic magic circle takes at least 10 minutes. Do you think the opponent will just sit and watch during that time?”

…Still, wouldn’t the power be proportional to the preparation time? Though it’s cowardly, a surprise magic attack could be quite powerful.

But once again, my expectations were completely shattered.

“Everyone has strange fantasies about mages. In terms of combat power, an Archmage is at most an A-rank, maybe even below a B-rank Hero.”

    “Roughly how strong is that?”

“B-rank Heroes appear about one in 10,000.”

“Then what is magic mainly used for?”

    “Every field except combat.”

Nothing is working out at all. How unlucky am I to end up in this situation?

My companions won’t help defeat the Demon King, they’re all mentally unstable, and I’m neither strong enough to defeat the Demon King nor do I have any way to become stronger.

What do I even have? The fact that I know what will happen in the future?

I don’t even know where the Demon King will appear in a month, what abilities they have, or how powerful they are.

On top of that, getting TS’d has made it several times harder to adapt to an already difficult world.

I’m now convinced that a world with only mint chocolate would be much happier than this place.

“Let’s start moving the stuff out. You can throw away all the papers, and put the books in that corner of the living room.”

Let’s just clean up the room for now.

    ***

I think I’ve lived quite diligently. I studied a little every day and exercised consistently.

Especially with exercise, I spent at least an hour daily, so my physique and stamina were naturally superior compared to others.

    “Haaah… huff…”

But when I changed into a woman, that superior stamina vanished in an instant. In fact, I became incomparably weaker than before.

It’s ridiculous to be struggling just to carry four books.

And in less than 10 minutes, my stamina was completely depleted, and I collapsed on the floor.

    “You really need to exercise.”

    “No… haaah… I really… huff… exercised hard…”

Now I’m so out of breath that it’s hard to even speak. At this rate, my stamina seems worse than a middle schooler’s.

The Goddess gave me this terrible penalty when she TS’d me.

Did she really send me to this world to save it? Or did she just want to watch me suffer?

While I was complaining about everything, Leo opened the window and said:

“I’ll go throw these away. Don’t do anything weird while I’m gone.”

Then Leo jumped out the window carrying a pile of papers three times his size.

    …This is the 20th floor?

After Leo disappeared, Agath approached me.

“Drenched in sweat and defenseless, unable to resist—how lewd.”

“You said you can’t touch me because of your doctrine anyway.”

“I wonder how you’d react if I pounced on someone so off-guard?”

Agath climbed on top of me and said:

“This time, there’s no one nearby to help you like before.”

“…Can we talk like normal people?”

    “It’s okay, I’ll be gentle.”

I desperately looked around, but all I saw was Rebecca staring blankly into space.

Still, I had no choice but to send a distress call, clutching at straws.

    “Rebecca! Please help me!”

    “Okay, please wait a moment.”

But contrary to her words, Rebecca was still staring into space.

    “…Didn’t you say you’d help?”

“Yes. I’ll help you in a bit.”

Rebecca doesn’t seem to have any intention of saving me. So what should I do?

But Agath didn’t even give me time to think, saying:

“Too bad for you, but good for me.”

    “…Please spare me.”

“This is your fault for having such a lewd body.”

I tried to resist as much as possible, but my body had no strength, and Agath was far stronger than me.

As I continued to resist as much as I could, Agath’s face came right up to mine.

    …It’s all over now.

I tightly closed my eyes, not having the courage to look ahead.

    “…Pfft!”

Suddenly Agath burst into laughter and got off me.

    …Did I survive?

    “I didn’t expect such a good reaction.”

“…Don’t tell me you were just joking this whole time?”

“Why? Would you prefer if I really pounced on you?”

    “I’d rather die.”

“Don’t worry. I have no intention of breaking my doctrine anyway.”

Thinking that this wouldn’t happen again, I let out a sigh of relief.

No matter what, I absolutely hate the idea of becoming a depraved female.

“But who knows? I might suddenly break my doctrine and pounce on you.”

Agath said with a devilish smile.

…I should continue to be careful just in case.

And right on cue, Leo returned.

“I’m back. You didn’t do anything weird while I was gone, right?”

Despite jumping from a height of 20 floors, he showed no signs of injury.

According to what Leo said earlier, magic is very complicated, and even casting a simple spell takes at least 10 minutes.

That means he endured it purely with his powerful physique.

With a body like that, why is he so obsessed with magic? It seems like he could have a great life just throwing punches.

“Agath tried to pounce on Lite.”

Suddenly Rebecca showed a photo of Agath on top of me.

It’s a bit embarrassing to say this, but it looks really erotic. So erotic that I could easily get three steps ahead…

    …I don’t feel anything.

Even when I try to focus on sensations down there, there’s nothing to focus on.

Before I knew it, rain was streaming down my cheeks.

What’s the point of saving the world? My precious world has already disappeared completely without me ever getting to use it.

“It was just a joke! It was really just a joke!”

Agath desperately made excuses, but Leo was still coldly staring at Agath.

    “Then why is she crying?”

“…Her reaction was so good that I couldn’t put on the brakes and went too far.”

“Okay, I believe you. We’ve been companions for years after all.”

Leo smiled kindly while picking up a thick book.

“…If you believe me, why are you holding that?”

“I’ve been researching a magic recently. It’s a spell that makes you lose consciousness. Mind if I experiment a bit?”

    “No.”

“I trust you. So you should trust me too.”

“I’m innocent! Please believe me just this once!”

Seemingly moved by Agath’s desperate claims of innocence, Leo put down the book he was holding.

“I’ll believe you just this once.”

Leo placed his hand on Agath’s shoulder and said:

    “I knew you would believe—”

    *BZZZZT!*

Suddenly, electricity began flowing through Agath’s body.

    “ARGGGH!”

Shortly after, accompanied by a toasty smell, Agath collapsed to the floor.

“Didn’t you say magic can’t be used in combat?”

“This kind of basic magic is simple enough to cast quickly… So what did he do to you?”

    “Nothing really.”

“Then what was that photo about?”

“Agath was playing a bit rough, but didn’t actually touch me.”

    “…Then why were you crying?”

“…I suddenly realized that my precious thing is gone.”

This reaction is natural for any man. How could you not cry when your precious comrade has disappeared?

“So… he didn’t do anything seriously wrong?”

    “Probably not?”

“…Why didn’t you say so earlier?”

“I thought you would naturally believe Agath…”

Who would mention being companions to lower someone’s guard and then attack them?

Leo let out a big sigh and said:

    “I’m screwed…”
