Chapter Index

Of course, given the sheer number of players, as evidenced by seeing only a handful of people winning a “Super Dreadnought” or something equally impressive…

The probability was truly at a horrifically abysmal level…

This only counts people whose gold dropped below 10% of what they had before

Seems like about 3,000 more were added just today

The result of frenzied players recklessly pouring resources into random boxes.

Within just 3 days, regular players like me and the gallery got to witness the wailing of about 20,000 gold-bankrupt players.

Of course, “bankruptcy” and “explosion death” were just expressions—everyone managed to obtain at least one S-class or SS-class battleship or better.

Anyway, since players were investing resources in “random boxes” at the rate of 100,000 units per person…

Even as countless players went bankrupt, users who pulled “Super Dreadnoughts” or comparable ships kept popping up here and there.

    ==========

After watching all this, I took some time to think.

Since I had accumulated 5 random boxes that were handed out for free, including today’s…

I decided to open them one by one, harboring the hope of “Could I be a classy Super-Dread owner too?”

Of course, as I—and anyone else watching this situation—might have already unconsciously guessed…

    <‘4th Anniversary Random Box’ x5 Opening Results>

    <Gleaming Equipment Box x5 Acquired>

    —————————————–

    “…”

    “That’s unfortunate, Commander.”

I was only greeted with the merciless result of “Not a chance! No! Nooooo!!”

But since I’d been scratched by these kinds of things far too many times already…

After such a terrible result, I took a deep breath, and then…

“Heh, figures. What did I expect?”

    “Commander…”

“Damn boxes. Jessica? Let’s just calmly save up gold during this event.”

    “Ah, yes.”

I shook my head and snickered, deciding to just leisurely accumulate gold.

    ==========

    Two days later.

I opened all the additional “random boxes” I received, but all I got were “Gleaming Equipment Boxes”…

So I completely lost interest in random boxes and focused solely on the “Trade Market.”

Actually, I did get an S-class ship, but it was just a corvette, so I sold it immediately.

And looking at the situation in the trade market, I found myself thinking how unpredictable the world can be.

    “It’s quite fascinating.”

    “What is, Commander?”

“Since this event started, the price bubble in the trade market has been rapidly deflating.”

As I said this while browsing through the list of “large ships” in the trade market,

Jessica, who was responding to my conversation, casually wiggled her rabbit ears from side to side and spoke as if it were obvious.

    “That’s only natural.”

    “Huh?”

“Through the event, a large number of powerful capital ships have flowed into the hands of various commanders, right?”

    “That’s true.”

“And some commanders have put their ships up for sale in the trade market, saying they don’t need them.”

Saying this, she pointed at the items I had displayed in the trade market.

Then, folding one rabbit ear and opening her eyes lazily, she continued.

“But in this situation, the gold in the hands of commanders has significantly decreased, hasn’t it?”

    “Mm.”

“So unlike before the event, demand has decreased exponentially while supply has increased, and on top of that, the amount of gold each commander has has drastically decreased…”

    “And the result?”

“All the conditions that could create a price bubble in the trade market have been removed, naturally causing the bubble itself to deflate.”

    “Hoeh.”

And as I watched Jessica calmly explaining knowledge that I couldn’t possibly understand,

While complimenting her on her excellent interpretation, I wanted to relieve the headache that comes from hearing about such economic issues.

So I immediately buried my head between Jessica’s thighs, naturally enjoying the sensation of her black stockings-covered thighs.

Of course, this situation didn’t last long.

    Right after that.

    -Squeeeeeze-

“Commander, I understand you’re tired, but we still have mountains of work to do, right?”

“Noooo, Jessicaaa, this is crushing my heaaad.”

As half of the floating status window was blocked, Jessica squeezed my head from both sides with those luscious thighs, telling me to get back to work.

Since I couldn’t let Icarus be compressed into Carus, I naturally removed my head from between Jessica’s thighs.

“Oh right, what about the exploration of the event map?”

“Berial, Tiamat, and all the other superhumans except for Partia and Smeragi, who are guarding you, have been deployed and are exploring.”

    “Really?”

“And they’ll probably return today or tomorrow. Should we send them back out immediately when they return?”

“Hmm, no, we should let them rest for at least a day.”

After checking on the “event map exploration” that I had momentarily forgotten about,

Having regained my peace of mind from enjoying Jessica’s honey pot thighs happy time…

“It’s interesting, things that were once too expensive to buy are now mostly affordable.”

“And with an additional 5,000 gold coming in tomorrow… we’ll be able to buy even more.”

    “Ah, that’s right.”

Leaning back against the command seat, I decided to spend some time on the “pleasant and enjoyable” contemplation of what to buy from the trade market.
