Ch. 48 Rescue

    Chapter 48 – Rescue

    R̃e&a;&d; oń Kat&R;&e;a&d;ińg̃Сa&f;e

The first boss, [Parasitic Hatchery], didn’t present any particularly difficult gimmicks or patterns.

It felt like a warm-up, with only slight variations on gimmicks and patterns from the Abyss Dungeon and various Raid Bosses this season.

Devising tactics using CoSurvival Skills and External Survival Skills was straightforward.

    To put it simply:

A CoSurvival Skill is a survival skill, or buff, that affects the entire GuildRaid Group.

An External Survival Skill is a buff that only affects one person.

These survival skills become crucial at the start of a Raid. Having them can be the difference between success and wiping.

For example, if the GuildRaid Group Dealers are getting one-shot, you use a CoSurvival Skill to protect everyone.

If the squishy Dealers are still dying, you use an External Survival Skill on the vulnerable individual.

The tactic involves determining when to use these skills based on the incoming gimmicks and patterns.

Our Arang Arang Party was progressing smoothly.

The first day went well, and by the second, we had a good sense of how to clear it.

The Boss’s gimmicks and patterns were similar to those in other Dungeons and Raids, so everyone quickly adapted.

The gimmick that appeared after reducing the Boss’s HP to a certain point was the 4Area 4Line pattern.

The first time, we simply directed the Dealers to the far east, west, south, and north to get through it. However, during the next 4Line pattern, the four Dealers died and were resurrected as clones, wiping the GuildRaid Group.

“Please review the recorded video of the Dealers who received the floor patterns this time.”

    Nod.

    “Guild Leader.”

Belly Cover raised her hand first.

    “Yes.”

    “After reviewing—”

As expected of the top [Grim Reaper], Belly Cover’s analysis was quick.

She checked all the Debuffs applied to her and recorded their effects.

After understanding the situation, I realized this gimmick wasn’t particularly difficult.

“Do you think we can survive if the remaining people divide the straight-line attacks among themselves?”

    Everyone nodded in agreement.

Another GuildRaid Group Member spoke up.

“But then the Dealers have to stop dealing Damage, and for quite a while, increasing the risk of triggering the wipe mechanic.”

“I think it’s worth trying to get past this gimmick first, right?”

    “That’s true too.”

    I considered the suggestions.

    The last straight-line attack…

It was the same as the Boss’s thorn attack I experienced before.

Back then, the Stun System hadn’t been revamped, so I took the attack with my left arm and leg, ignored the Stun, and Parried through it.

‘If the Stun hadn’t been revamped, I could have Parried… Ah!’

    Then it hit me.

    I raised the Taseom Sword.

I remembered what happened when we fought the Field Boss, Corrupted Judge.

It was when Pink Berry Unnie saved me with the Rescue skill.

I was clearly Stunned and unable to move, but Pink Berry Unnie pulled me in with Rescue, forcibly releasing the Stun.

    “Pink Berry Unnie.”

    “Hmm?”

“Use the Rescue skill when I give you the signal.”

    “Um? Okay.”

I deliberately ran towards the Boss alone to get Stunned.

    “Arang!?”

    Predictably, the Boss attacked me.

As soon as I, a Dealer, was hit, my HP dropped by about 70%, and I was Stunned.

Even though I tried to move, I was completely immobilized.

    “Now!”

    Paang!!!

At my signal, Pink Berry Unnie used Rescue on me, releasing the Stun, and I effortlessly Parried the Boss’s attack.

I died immediately due to the reduced Damage after Parrying, but the experiment was a success.

I smiled and explained how to overcome this 4Line4Area pattern.

The Abyss of Intrusion Raid WFK Race has begun.

The Mead Guild, who achieved WFK last time, is likely to win again. Mead’s resources and the number of personnel in the Situation Room are overwhelming.

It’s too early to compare progress, so I’ll skip that.

However, one Guild is attracting attention in Korea:

    -Arang Arang Guild-

    Created by our Gallju.

It’s a newly formed Guild with no backup and a messy combination, so why the attention?

    Simple.

    Our Gallju has unbelievable skills.

    The logs tell the story.

Even before the Soma revamp, her Physical Skill was so overwhelming that she outperformed other Somas by a huge margin.

The scary part? The person in 2nd place is a Dealer in the Mead Guild. And not only is there a Soma in 1st place, but also a Grim Reaper. Our Gallju’s Guild has two of the world’s top Dealers.

[But honestly, the Healer has to be better than the Dealer in a Raid, lol]

ㄴ[I agree, lol. The Healer has to be good to make progress no matter what]

[Even if the Guild Leader is 15 years old, will it work properly? lol]

ㄴ[Being good at dealing Damage is different from leading a Guild]

ㄴ[No matter how good you are at dealing Damage, it’s meaningless if you can’t strategize the gimmicks]

[She might do well in a Raid where strategies are already known, but this is a raw Heading Party, so it’s different.]

[Is our Gallju’s Guild streaming?] [62]

    ???

[Yes, they are. Gang Hangil go go]

    Okay, okay thanks thanks

[Why is our Gallju so good…?] [127]

Seriously, is she really 15? Not a 30-year-old Mister?

    Analysis, judgment, Damage—she has it all;;;

I’m watching with other European Guilds, and there’s not much difference?

[She’s the ideal Guild Leader. She analyzes the gimmicks, makes judgments, and gives instructions. Perfect in every way.]

ㄴ[But a 15-year-old Middle School student is doing that? lol Crazy]

[Breaking News: Mead Clears 1st Boss, Parasitic Hatchery]

As expected, Mead cleared the first Boss.

Mead broke through the most difficult pattern, 4Area 4Line.

It gives four Dealers instant-death-level floor patterns, and upon explosion, the affected Dealers receive instant-death straight-line attacks, which the Tank must intercept.

With three Tanks, one Dealer was guaranteed to die.

‘Can’t you just die and revive?’ No, this Boss summons a clone of the dead user. So, you have to clear it without anyone dying.

Mead positioned three Tanks in front of three Dealers during the 4Area 4Line pattern.

The remaining Dealer had all the Dealers and Healers stand in front of them, each taking one tick of the straight-line attack.

The problem? They couldn’t deal any Damage to the Boss during this.

Other Guilds kept wiping, but Mead cleared it with a groundbreaking combination of three Pure Dealers.

    [As expected, Mead is Mead.]

[No way, they brought 3 Pure Dealers in a 12-person Raid? lol How confident are the Dealers?]

ㄴ[It’s even more impressive that they succeeded, lol]

[Wow, 3 Pure Dealers? The Pure Dealer simps in this Raid are going to be so cocky]

In reality, they just wipe due to lack of Damage bye lol

Yeah, lol. The Mead Dealers are really good, but the Public Party level is damn it lol

Gallju’s Guild, [Arang Arang], cleared the 1st Boss after Mead.

    What?

[What? Fuck? Is this a dream?]

[The Korean Guild is in 2nd place right now? lol]

ㄴ[Has there ever been anything like this?]

[No way, how is a newly created Guild in 2nd place?]

[Wow, this is crazy. Our country’s Guild is currently in 2nd place? I’m going to watch the stream right away.]

[Arang Arang Guild 4Area 4Line Pattern Breakthrough Video] [1273]

    (Video)

Here’s a video of the Mead Guild, which broke through the pattern first.

They had the remaining Dealers and Healers divide the straight-line attacks, except for the 3Dealer 3Tank setup.

    (Video)

Our Gallju Arang Arang Guild Breakthrough Video.

The remaining Dealers and Healers take the hit? ㄴㄴ

Our Gallju just Parries all the attacks alone and only gets care from one Healer lololololol

The remaining Dealers and Healers deal Damage to the Boss, so they don’t even see the wipe mechanic and clear it lolololol It’s so absurd

[Her Parrying is really the best in the world;;]

ㄴ[No way, is it even possible to Parry the Boss’s gimmick attack in a Raid?]

[If you look at the Party Meter while doing that, her Damage isn’t lacking either. Her Damage is top-notch]

ㄴ[The reason why Soma got revamped lol]

[But why is the Healer stuck right behind Gallju and healing? Does she really have to do that?]

ㄴ[I know, right? Was she intentionally stuck like that?]

    [Gallju 4Area 4Line Pattern Analysis] [162]

    (Video)

Here, you can see the Healer stuck right behind Gallju. Why?

    (Video)

Here, you can see the Healer throwing a rope when Gallju is Parrying.

    (Video)

And Gallju Parried the remaining attacks and got through it.

There’s only one rope skill: Rescue.

So, why did the Healer use Rescue instead of a healing skill? Rescue is meant to pull in distant Guild Members.

Why use it when she’s right behind her?

The answer is in the video.

    (Video)

If you watch closely, Gallju flinches and gets Stunned, but the Stun is released by Rescue.

[I’ve never used Rescue, so I didn’t even know that existed lol]

ㄴ[I don’t even remember being hit by it lol]

[Gallju solves a gimmick that other Guilds do with 5 people with just 2 people lol]

    ㄴ[This is crazy lolololol]

[Because the remaining Dealers deal Damage, there’s Damage left over lol]
