Ch.47Ultimate Karate Technique

    “What are you?”

    Amaterasu was simply bewildered.

She had thought there would be no match for her in this world where she remained after the prehistoric era ended and only insignificant creatures survived.

She was a being who could destroy this world if she so desired.

But what on earth was this creature?

“You don’t appear in any mythology.”

    “Grrrr…”

    “What the hell are you?!”

    BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!

The pitch-black monster charged forward at a terrifying speed without answering.

She couldn’t let it get close.

Sensing this with all her senses, Amaterasu immediately twisted the tree trunks extending in all directions to impale the creature rushing toward her.

    But.

    CLANG!

    “…Huh?”

    A natural predator.

The seedling’s roots were supposed to sprout wherever they pierced, devouring all life within—no matter how hard the object.

Amaterasu’s tree trunks, which had once transformed the entire Japanese archipelago into an ecosystem similar to today’s Amazon.

Her strike, capable of creating an entire ecosystem, couldn’t penetrate the pitch-black monster’s body.

    “It won’t… pierce?”

    “Grrrr…”

    Crack. Crunch.

Then she tried to at least bind and seal it forever.

But even that failed as the black monster forcibly tore away the vines beginning to surround it, getting closer… and closer.

“You…! Some inferior creation that appeared after the sons of gods!!”

Amaterasu was furious, feeling her divine status was being challenged by something at least 2,000 years younger than her.

    CRAAACK.

    “Gruk?!”

The surrounding tree roots began growing at a terrifying speed, empowered by the giant forest creator’s emotions.

The forest that had turned the entire amusement park dome into a jungle started growing rapidly, reaching higher and higher toward the sky.

Not just roots but leaves too began forming, growing into a massive seedling large enough to block the entire sky over Songpa District.

“I am Amaterasu, the sun goddess.”

    “Grrrr.”

“My vitality is nature itself, and my nourishment comes from all living beings that enter my shade.”

    “Grrrk?”

    In other words.

If the amusement park seedling, still growing, spread beyond Songpa District to cover all of Seoul, and grew further into a “world tree” large enough to cover all of Korea…!

“You’ll have to fight against all 50 million lives on this land!”

Whether the monster won or lost, all of humanity in Korea would perish.

    “I win! You lose!”

Amaterasu cackled, confident in her victory.

Fueled by her emotions, the seedling grew even faster.

In less than a minute, it had already reached around 500 meters, comparable to Seoul’s Lotte World Tower.

Outside the amusement park, everyone—hunters and civilians alike—held their breath at the sight of this enormously growing tree.

They instinctively knew that a tree growing at such a rate couldn’t possibly be beneficial.

Though they sensed the danger, they had no idea how to control this terrifying growth rate.

    “Mom…”

“What about the branch director who went inside?”

    “We can’t reach him…”

    “Haha… It’s all over… We’re doomed…!”

    Some despaired.

    Some gave up.

    Some wept.

In this peaceful 21st century after the Industrial Revolution and two World Wars, humans simply knelt and begged for their lives when a god suddenly appeared.

    Except for one.

    “Grrrr!”

    “…What is that…?”

One person—or rather, one kaijufied human—about to leap.

    “Grrrk…”

    ‘Kyokushin Karate leg technique…’

Tree trunks began growing around Shinwoo.

Seeing this, he lowered his body as much as possible, twisting it for “rotation,” preparing to jump.

    Meanwhile, the monster…

    A fellow monster no less!

    “Is that… a human ‘technique’?”

Amaterasu was dumbfounded, her expression visible through her skull, that a monster would adopt the same movements as weak humans.

    “Grrrrrk.”

    ‘Don’t be surprised yet.’

Shinwoo leaped about 5 meters into the air.

    “Gruk, kuk!”

‘I’ll show you something really amazing now!’

He extended one leg containing all the rotation he’d gathered from the ground, spinning 360 degrees and swinging it across the entire tree trunk surrounding the amusement park.

‘Kyokushin Karate – Aerial Spinning Kick.’

The sharp wind pressure from his foot tip acted like an invisible blade, cutting through the surrounding trunks and instantly spreading outside the amusement park.

By the time Shinwoo landed again, the interior of the amusement park hadn’t changed much.

    Crack, crackcrackcrack…

    “The, the tree…!”

    “I can see the sky…!”

The completely severed tree trunks stopped growing.

Eventually, the 500-meter seedling, separated from its roots, began losing balance and slowly tipping sideways.

And through the torn gap, the blue sky began to appear.

    “Grrrk.”

    ‘Let’s finish this.’

    “Don’t get cocky. I am a god!”

Amaterasu’s symbol, the world tree that could grow to reach space, had already been mowed down in the initial battle.

But still, Japan’s worst and strongest evil god remained defiant.

“I am Amaterasu, the sun goddess!!”

Shinwoo charged madly toward the sun goddess still hiding in the shadows, just as he had done before.

Trampling all the stems trying to grow from the ground again, he reached her and immediately:

“Kyokushin Karate – Basic Straight Punch.”

A straight punch that carved a huge hole in her solar plexus.

    BANG!

    “Useless.”

As her pierced chest began regenerating, next he raised his hand-blade high:

    “100 Roof Tile Break!”

A hand-blade strike that cut Amaterasu diagonally in two.

    SLASH.

    “Useless!”

Even as roots grew from the cut parts to reconnect her body, next came:

    “Kumite…”

    “?!”

    “Striking Form.”

From the Sanchin-dachi straight punch preparation stance, he concentrated even more power in one arm pulled further back.

Faster, stronger, putting a fatal blow into it!

Putting such “extreme” force into it that his shoulder blade might dislocate.

    “Karate Secret Technique.”

    “Y-You!”

    “Piercing Fist.”

Shinwoo’s piercing fist, delivered with all his might and sincerity.

That single blow instantly annihilated the life force Amaterasu had accumulated by draining the Kitsune family’s vitality for 2,200 years.

    BOOM!!

With a crisp sound, the evil god’s entire upper body flew off, and behind her:

    “Wow…”

    “T-The sky…!”

A pure blue sky without even a trace of clouds showed a strange phenomenon where the atmosphere appeared to be cut in half.

    “What is that…”

Almost all of Korea’s hunter forces, barely managing to catch the falling 500-meter seedling, doubted their eyes at the aftermath of that piercing fist.

    “Is this machine broken?”

    “What’s wrong?”

“Well… I brought a portable danger level measuring machine just in case, but I think it’s malfunctioning.”

The research team brought high-performance monster radar to assess the situation inside the amusement park.

Lee Heejeong, the machine operator, frowned at the impossible reading.

“Suddenly all stats showed ’17.’ I guess this old equipment is broken.”

While the outside was in chaos.

    “…Ah.”

Amaterasu’s corpse began slowly entering Kurumi’s body, who had summoned her.

This was a normal phenomenon when recalling a summoned monster under a Beast Hunter’s control.

But no one in the Kitsune family records had ever recalled Amaterasu this way.

Regardless of the process, Kurumi, who had succeeded in subjugating the evil god, could now feel it.

    Thump! Thump!

Her cold heart, which could have stopped at any moment, was now beating rapidly, regaining vitality.

    “Ah, aah! Aaaaaaah!”

    She didn’t have to die.

She would still be alive a year from now.

Realizing this, Kurumi hugged herself and began crying.

Meanwhile, Shinwoo, his body battered from overexertion, let out a tired sigh. He turned his back on the princess who was rejoicing at being alive.

    It was time to escape.

    But at that moment.

    Whoosh.

    “Thank you, Shinwoo.”

Princess Kurumi ran up behind Shinwoo as he was about to leap away and embraced him without prejudice despite his monster form.

He had thought he would be hated forever due to the Kaijufication Hunter debuff once his identity was revealed.

    “Grrrk…”

    “Really! Really… thank you!”

Kurumi turned Shinwoo around to face her.

And now, having removed the eyepatch she had worn to hide from the world, she looked directly at the pitch-black Han Shinwoo without any disgust.

    Smooch.

    “!?”

    With all her heart.

Even though he was in monster form.

Kurumi pressed her lips against his as thanks for saving her.

    “Ugh…”

    “……”

    “Um… was that not good?”

The princess looked up at the pitch-black monster who showed no reaction, her ears turning red with embarrassment.

But anything he said here would only sound like “gruk.”

    Pat pat.

Instead of answering, Shinwoo patted Kurumi’s head as she waited for a response.

Then, preparing for the hunters about to arrive:

    “D-Don’t move!”

    “Branch Director, are you alright?!”

“Is that… the Monster of Jamsil?”

As they entered through the amusement park’s main gate, Shinwoo escaped through the hole he had punched in the outer wall.
