# Scarlet Dragon Raid
Scarlet Dragon, huh? They’ve already gone that far. Catching that beast will be quite the struggle.
Even with a strategy guide, the Scarlet Dragon raid fails multiple times if your control isn’t skilled enough.
If it’s that difficult in a game, can Alreina really defeat it in this world that’s become reality?
I’m worried, but there’s nothing I can do. I can only hope my strategy guide helps her.
In my heart, I wanted to stop her from leaving when she came to the shop that time.
Because I know exactly what difficult and painful adventures await that child.
But I mustn’t hold her back.
Alreina was born with the destiny to become a hero. If she stops moving forward, she’ll fall to corruption and bring about the end of the world.
Alreina. Please don’t fall. Defeat the Scarlet Dragon and keep moving forward steadily.

The city development project proceeded smoothly like flowing water.
The buildings where shops would be located were all prepared, and the assignment work matching the list of artisans was in its final stages.
I had to spend several nights at the hall creating documents for the promotion application to submit to the royal palace.
It was a massive undertaking requiring countless materials: the village’s history, general topography, basic data, things created for the promotion, their costs, and how those funds were sourced.
This was absolutely impossible for just me and the administrator to handle.
Mirella only knows how to read but can’t understand anything this complex, and Brasya is out of the question.
The same goes for Liberone and the two mercenaries.
So I brought in many former cabinet members from the Zilke Republic to assist.
Processing receipts, finding errors in accounting ledgers, formatting documents, making copies, attaching bands, drawing nice covers.
“Excuse me, Administrator.”
The administrator, buried in a pile of documents, poked her head out.
“This is awkward here, Jack… there are many eyes watching…”
“Please write a preface.”
I ignored the administrator’s words completely and handed her a paper.
“Ah, right, the preface…”
The administrator took the paper with a very troubled expression.
Every report that goes up to the king must include a “preface.”
It’s not like a typical prologue—it must contain praise for the king who will read it in order to pass the strict review of the palace’s etiquette officer.
You might think you could just write something, but that’s not the case.
You must fill an entire page with precise adherence to established norms, formats, and expressions.
The former Zilke Republic cabinet members couldn’t understand such insane inefficiency, and I don’t have the ability to write something like that.
This is a task only our administrator can handle, with her elite credentials of having passed the Imperial Central Civil Service Exam.
“Hmm, a preface, is it… Alright… I’ll try writing it…”
The administrator picked up a pen with a genuinely uncertain attitude and held her head.
“Ugh… if I make a mistake and incur His Majesty’s wrath… I’ll surely be dismissed, have my property confiscated, and be thrown onto the streets… Then Jack would appear and take me to his shop… But Jack’s intentions wouldn’t be purely kind but rather to fulfill his dark sexual desires he’s been harboring toward me… As soon as we get to the shop, Jack would suddenly change and do things to me…”
I covered my ears and returned to my seat. Crazy woman, crazy woman.
I wonder if she can write it properly. That preface is incredibly difficult.
While I was doing other work, the administrator approached me timidly after a while.
“Jack… I finished it…”
The paper the administrator handed me was densely filled with small letters.
Let me read it.

A simply perfect preface. It couldn’t be more perfect.
The content itself is nothing. Truly a combination of letters without any meaning.
But a preface isn’t originally written for that purpose.
A preface that has become merely a matter of etiquette after existing for so long.
The key is to take the message “I know you’re great, so please approve this report quickly” and embellish it with all kinds of flowery language and metaphors, stretching it out looooong.
Writing a novel would be easier than filling a whole page with this kind of thing—it must be the most excruciating of tasks.
But the administrator did it. In such a short time. And brilliantly at that.
“Wow…”
The former Zilke officials gathered around to see the preface and applauded in admiration.
“Administrator! You’re amazing!”
“Th-thank you…”
The administrator began breathing irregularly at the sudden shower of praise.
I quickly opened a potion and put it in her mouth, and soon she calmed her breathing and looked up at me with trembling eyes.
“Did… I do well…?”
“You did very well.”
“Then give me a reward…”
“What reward would you like?”
“Th-that… Ugghhh!!”
The administrator, who was about to say something, suddenly screamed and ran out of the hall. What’s wrong with her?
Through the window, I could hear the administrator scolding herself.
“I’m such a bad woman…! Always thinking about doing XX and XX with Jack…! Even imagining being XX-ed and XX-ing until fainting several times…! Bad woman…! Pig of a woman…! Vulgar woman…!”
This is giving me a headache.

After completing the draft of the city promotion application, I dragged my tired body back to the shop in the early dawn.
There was no one on the first floor with the lights off.
Going up to the second floor, there was no sound as everyone seemed to be asleep.
No, there was a low snoring sound from Brasya’s room. And from the mercenaries’ room, what’s that?
“Captain… Captain… I’ll save you… Even if it costs me my life…”
The 2nd squad captain is talking nonsense in his sleep again.
I fell asleep as soon as I threw myself onto the bed.
And in my dream, I met Alreina.
Alreina on the verge of death, being pushed back by the Scarlet Dragon.
[Alreina!!]
I ran forward as soon as I saw flames sparking between the dragon’s teeth.
[Get up! You can’t give up!]
I shouted as I lifted Alreina, who was sitting down bleeding.
[Dodge to the left! Run between the third ravine! You can buy time there!]
* * * * *
“Ugh!”
Alreina, who was attacking the dragon while it recovered its magic power, failed to avoid the suddenly swooping claw.
With a severe injury to her side, Alreina felt extreme dizziness and collapsed.
Though she had succeeded in a few minor attacks, she failed to inflict enough damage to turn the tide.
After being pushed back continuously, she finally received a fatal wound due to a momentary mistake.
She had followed the strategy guide exactly, but Alreina’s skill level couldn’t keep up with the strategy.
The Scarlet Dragon looked down at Alreina arrogantly, preparing to breathe fire.
Alreina helplessly lowered her head.
Is this the end… In the end, I won’t see Uncle again…
Uncle… I really wanted to return… but now I can’t…
If souls remain after death… then I’ll watch over you…
Just as you’ve watched over me all this time…
“Alreina!!”
Alreina turned around at the sudden voice.
“Uncle…?!”
“Get up! You can’t give up!”
The Potion Uncle ran over and helped Alreina to her feet.
