<GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENT>
<<<‘FORCES OF COUNTERATTACK’ EVENT GUIDE>>>
<Event Duration: 4 weeks>
<No separate event map available.>
<The event will proceed as follows:>
<Return of ‘Mercenary Corps’ and ‘Faction Delegations’>
˪<All ‘Mercenary Corps’ and ‘Faction Delegations’ stationed at Commanders’ bases will be forcibly returned to their original territories.>
˪<However, contracts with mercenary corps will be suspended as of this moment, so you will not pay additional contract fees.>
<Goodwill checks will officially begin.>
˪<Goodwill checks with all factions will be conducted simultaneously, and goodwill will be increased or decreased based on actions Commanders have taken previously.>
˪<All checks will be conducted in real-time, and goodwill will change in real-time according to the Commander’s attitude toward factions.>
˪<When goodwill status reaches a certain level or above, you can receive rewards from that faction.>
˪<If goodwill status falls below a certain level, you may receive a ‘warning’ from that faction.>
˪<If you ignore this warning and fail to improve goodwill, the faction may launch an offensive against the Commander.>
<Important Notes!>
<Since this is not taking place on an event map, ships and superhumans will not be restored.>
<When the event ends, the mercenary corps and faction delegations you hired will return to their original positions at the Commander’s base.>
<The event starts tomorrow!>
<During the event period, due to agreements between factions, main fleets of each faction can cross faction boundaries!>

<Current Commander’s Faction Goodwill Status>
˪<Space Monster: 105>
˪<Pirate Union: 200+@>
˪<Xenovia Empire: 10>
—————————————–
As soon as the official event announcement appeared like that, the goodwill ratings associated with each faction were prominently displayed right next to it.
Looking at it, I strongly felt that there wouldn’t be any major problems with these numbers.
“Your relationships with the Pirate Union and Space Monsters make sense, but you’re on decent terms with the Xenovia Empire too?”
“That’s just the basic starting value they give everyone, so it doesn’t mean much.”
“Ah.”
Although my relationship with the Xenovia Empire was literally just ‘existing,’ nothing more, making it slightly precarious.
Thanks to Marian, I had impressively high goodwill with the Pirate Union, not to mention the Space Monsters.
I decided to just maintain adequate goodwill with the Xenovia Empire to prepare for any potential unfair treatment.
Of course, I could think this “comfortably” partly because I was essentially using a cheat key in a way.
Additionally, being in the ‘Central Zone’ meant I didn’t directly border any of the factions.
Unlike me, other users had been actively utilizing mercenary corps or faction delegations right up until the event, knowingly or unknowingly.
So when both mercenary corps and faction delegations were suddenly returned to their factions, immediate and intense reactions erupted through the gallery.

Title: WTF Where did my mercenary corps and faction delegation go?

I was about to engage in an epic battle, where the hell are they going?

-˪[Oh damn]

-[Where are you going now?]
—————————————–
There were users who complained about failing because their mercenaries suddenly disappeared during a time-attack-like PVP with other users.
And there were users who were devastated because they had just happily gained access to both forces after lacking resources, only to have them taken away five minutes later.
I could see all sorts of chaotic reactions.
==========
But the real problem with this event wasn’t just the inability to use mercenary corps and faction delegations.
The real issue that was revealed on the day the event actually started was…
—————————————–
Title: Wait WTF why are factions pushing in from the start

This event is spectacularly messed up from the very beginning
Comments:
-[Wow, this looks fun ^^]
-[Look, all those Gigantia-class ships you wanted are coming in hordesㅋㅋㅋㅋ]
-˪[Not just hundreds of Gigantia-class ships, but tons of special ships like Anchorage tooㅋㅋㅋ]
-[ㅋㅋㅋㅋYou should have maintained good relations]

The so-called “anti-faction” users who had been antagonizing factions before the event were facing full-scale offensives from those factions as soon as the event started.
And these weren’t the small-scale main ships and escort fleets like “independent pirates” or “wild space monsters” that users typically faced.
These were main fleets filled with powerful super-large ships, like the Earth Federation’s main fleets that kept popping up during Humanity’s Revolution.
The Xenovia Empire, with its “small elite forces with powerful super-large ships” concept similar to users, was relatively easier to adapt to, as users could respond as if facing “somewhat stronger users.”
But Space Monsters and the Pirate Union specialized in “quantity warfare,” the exact opposite approach.
Users, whose overall quantities were already reduced due to the event, couldn’t help but suffer serious damage from monsters and pirates who were willing to accept some losses to push forward.
Of course, unlike these anti-faction users, the “mega clans” within each faction’s territory had connections with faction leaders before the event started, for better or worse.
Realizing this wasn’t WWE but UFC, they all quietly bowed their heads and stayed silent…
So while anti-faction users were being crushed by total attacks from factions in the gallery, the mega clans were experiencing a remarkably peaceful(?) time.
==========
However, regarding this flat submission to preserve clan status, dissatisfaction was secretly bubbling up within each clan.
The Magellan Clan had a shared mindset of “They’re bringing more of these damn awesome ships to fight? Let’s just submit!”
The Justice Clan was keeping in line because “We could be attacked by two factions simultaneously if we mess up, we need to submit to survive!”
But unlike these two clans, the Loki Clan was merely “controlling” clan members under Betelgeuse and the executives’ orders.
Within the troll-filled Loki Clan, resistance against “why do we have to bow to factions like this!” finally reached a critical point.
Additionally, there was internal dissatisfaction with Betelgeuse’s one-man, or rather one-woman(?) show-like operation of the Loki Clan from before.
When combined with the lower clans’ dissatisfaction with Loki Clan’s “autocratic management”…
Exactly one week after the event began.

Users got to enjoy another delicious popcorn-worthy event separate from the ongoing faction event.
