User reactions to the event message announcement broadly fell into three categories.

    First were the mega-clans who had received warnings from me and other forces, as well as friendly users.

    It seems they weren’t actually planning clan wars, but were preparing for this event

    Of course, there was still potential for conflict with the forces

    [GIF showing merchandise rapidly disappearing from the trading market.gif]

    They’re quickly hoarding supplies to respond to the event

    Comments:

    -[So this explains all the confusion lately]

    -[Well, groups at that level would have tons of information sources]

    -˪[For real?]

    -˪[Just look at Magellan—they recently received various starships as gifts after being treated like a Grand Duke of the Xenovia Empire]

    -˪[I had no idea]

    -[I expected this from Magellan, but not from Justice and Loki]

    -˪[Justice spans two forces, so they probably had even more reliable information]

    -˪[Loki Clan is the real surprise—I thought they’d be targeted by the Pirate Alliance]

    -˪[I guess even trolls think things through sometimes? lol]

    -˪[That was it all along]

    —————————————–

    The users’ analysis in that post wasn’t far off from the actual reactions.

    More specifically, clans in each force’s territory were reacting that way.

    As for what I was doing…

    <Neutral Nation Neutral Village Official Chat Room>

    <Notice: Room name suggestions welcome>

    -[This event looks like it’ll be super fun](Icarus)

    -[Yeah, for real lol]

    -[But unlike other places, we’re in the central zone with no connection to regional forces]

    -[Do we even have any stake in this event?]

    -[Of course we must]

    -[No user lives completely without receiving force delegations]

    -[That’s true]

    -[But wait, couldn’t the King of Neutrality get invaded by surrounding forces if things go wrong?]

    -[With Leviathan here, they’d be the ones getting crushed if they invaded]

    -[Thank you, Le-viathan!]

    —————————————–

    I had already secured safety guarantees from two of the three forces (Monsters and Pirates).

    Even if someone did invade, I had my awesome main force, direct mercenary units, and all sorts of troops.

    Plus, even without using unlimited mercenary units, there were about 4,000-5,000 users who would be furious if neutrality was violated.

    And finally, as mentioned in the chat, the Leviathan Fleet served as a deterrent just by existing.

    Since everyone would clearly be fighting each other, our plan was to just deal with anyone who came at us while munching on popcorn.

    ==========

    Unlike those who “heard in advance,” most regular clans and users only learned about this when the event message appeared.

    Most users simply reacted with “New event! That means more fun things to do!”

    At best, some prepared by hoarding supplies for the event.

    Of course, even though users didn’t know the detailed background, they understood “why” the forces were acting this way from the event announcement.

    As a result:

    Title: Today’s News) Recent Trading Market Situation.txt

    Author: News Boy

    Content: [Image of thousands of users trading various items.jpg], [Image showing main force ships of each faction—the culprits of this situation—remaining in stock while other ships are quickly sold out.jpg]

    Yeah

    Since this event is based on the premise that the forces are furious

    Unlike before, ships captured by forces aren’t being casually purchased even when they appear on the market

    Instead, users who previously bought them are dumping them on the market, causing prices to drop continuously

    Comments:

    -[Honestly, thinking about facing dozens or hundreds of those ships, I’d be scared to touch them too]

    -[Feels like watching someone sell a cursed car]

    -˪[A used car (that comes with a high probability of getting grabbed by the collar by strong men)]

    -˪[lololol]

    -[Getting grabbed by the collar would be lucky—you might get completely cleaned out]

    -˪[What, like organ trafficking? lol]

    —————————————–

    They were being cautious in their own way, but unlike major clans or Icarus who were openly submissive,

    They showed perfectly ordinary reactions, wanting to participate in the event as usual.

    ==========

    And finally, our friends in the “anti-force” camp…

    —————————————–

    Title: LOLOLOLOL Perfect Time to Crush the Forces

    Author: Anonymous

    Content: [Red propaganda poster calling for the eradication of force sympathizers and expulsion of forces.jpg]

    It’s already been proven that their main fleets can be defeated by our fleets

    Now is the time to secure the realm of User-sraum for the users!

    Rise up, users! Woo! Woo!

    Comments:

    -[I thought this was some democratic activist stuff, but turns out it’s from an art school reject with a mustache]

    -˪[lololol]

    -[Reading this makes my arm keep rising involuntarily ㅠㅠ]

    -˪[Mein Führer;;]

    -[Excuse me but my mustache is getting thicker]

    -[Zi-eg Heil]

    —————————————–

    They were trying to build Lebensraum—no, Usersraum.

    Of course, all this talk about building “Usersraum” was just talk.

    The undeniable truth was that the number of anti-force users was clearly insufficient.

    As mentioned before, without a leader or center to unite the anti-force factions, they were moving based solely on collective intelligence.

    Without a clear vision for the upcoming event, they were just focused on individual power-building and “plundering” to weaken the forces’ fleets.

    ==========

    Unlike users in other zones who were divided into these three categories, the “Pan-Humanity Faction” that had already become a force of its own…

    —————————————–

    <Humanity Executive Chat Room~♬>

    <Notice: Let’s help users involved in the event>

    -[We have quite a few users whose affiliated forces are elsewhere]

    -[What are we going to do?]

    -[Let’s just intervene enough to help those people if they’re in danger](Zhuge Yang)

    -[Ok]

    -[Ok]

    -[Ok]

    -[Honestly, even that much will gain us user support without antagonizing surrounding forces](Zhuge Yang)

    -[What if the main fleets of each force come charging in?]

    -[Help those worth helping, and for the rest, help those users escape](Antares)

    -[Ok]

    -[That should be enough]

    —————————————–

    From their perspective, they were essentially “watching a fire across the river.”

    Unlike the giant clans or various smaller clans with their backs against the wall, or the anti-force users,

    They maintained a smooth and relaxed attitude, much like Icarus.

    ==========

    And these users, divided into 3 (+1) categories, exactly one week later,

    As the event officially began, they felt confused by the scale of the event, which was far greater than they had anticipated.

    This was because immediately after the event started,

    The “mercenary units” and “force delegations” that users had naturally considered part of their strength became completely useless in this event.
